Great food and service would definitely eat there again. Prices were fair and servings were hefty.

As we head to our happy place and former home Coeur d'Alene Idaho.. I can only think of one place…read morewe wish to stay.. Our Flamingo. We tried several other hot spots in town, but hands down this one takes the cake and here's why; - Family owned & operated with the nicest folks; Michael (dad), son Don & daughter Elaine & Melissa whom I had the absolute pleasure of securing our reservations with today ! They call you back when you leave a message (and I don't mean 2 days later) they listen courteously & try so hard to accommodate your wishes. Ie; We really love the Flamingo Beach room (each room has a different great theme) which has dual vanities on opposite ends of the room with cute racks to hang your things....And thankfully our wish was grated for 7 nights.. - You are in the downtown core and can literally walk anywhere.. Tubbs Hill, the Park, Bars, Restaurants, Coffee Houses (Coeur d' Alene Coffee our favorite) CDA Resort, shops galore etc - Single story Building with nobody above you- - Affordable, Clean & Safe - They have the lights on for late check-in Give this Gem a try, You will be so glad you did --Thank You Flamingo you're the best lodging in the area - We love you!!

I have a soft spot for the Flamingo because it's a blast from the past. There is something…read morerefreshing about parking just outside your room door and not having to hump bags up through a lobby and into an elevator. I love the tacky retro room decor, although one might choose a room based on size, bed configuration and distance from the street rather than theme. There was no one in the office when we arrived around 5, but my call was answered promptly and check in was accomplished fairly efficiently. A couple of improvements are required. The king size bed needs 4 pillows to be comfortable for 2 people. We had two in pillowcases and two in shams. I doubt those shams get laundered regularly so I certainly don't want them under the covers with me. Also, there is excess light coming in from the parking lot. I've noticed most hotels are going to roller shades which seem to provide better light blocking. For $80 a night, you could do a lot worse.

We were able to see smoke from our hotel room and the general location of our home. While some would prefer otherwise, I was glad that we could. Fortunately, we had a home to return to after two nights stay. Anyhow, we sincerely appreciated everyone and were grateful that it was one less thing that we had to worry about.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent stay…read more During check-in/ check out l, I overheard front desk staff asking guests whether they were in town for a basketball tournament. It appeared that families who mentioned the tournament were charged higher rates than those who did not. This felt inconsistent and unprofessional. As a team, we booked together with the understanding that there might be some form of group coordination--even if not a discounted rate--but selectively adjusting pricing based on a guest's response was disappointing. Additionally, I had requested extra blankets and pillows in advance, which were not provided in our room upon arrival. Breakfast was average but sufficient for a busy weekend, and the pool was enjoyable for the kids, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience left us uncomfortable, particularly due to the pricing practices and the requirement for upfront payment, which is not typical in our experience. We had originally canceled our reservation at The Davenport in order to support a smaller property, but unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations. Moving forward, our team will be choosing alternative accommodations. Thank you for your time.

I am writing to share feedback about an incident that occurred during my stay on June 11. This was…read moreour first time staying at a hotel with our dog, Jasper. Everything went smoothly until the morning, when we left him in the room briefly to have breakfast. Since it was our first experience, we did not know he would react by barking continuously. About ten minutes later, the front desk attendant, Joe, came into the breakfast room to inform us that other guests had complained about the noise. I immediately left to return to the room and calm Jasper. I apologized for the situation and fully understand how disruptive barking can be. I would also be bothered if I were on the other side of the situation. My concern is not about the complaint itself, but about how the situation was handled. The attendant asked for our room number and then announced the issue loudly in front of all the guests who were having breakfast. She stated that she had received complaints, that we needed to go to the room immediately, and that the incident would be added to our record. This left us feeling embarrassed, as if we were repeat offenders, even though we stayed only one night and this was our very first hotel experience with a pet. While I sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience caused by Jasper's barking, I kindly ask that your staff be encouraged to handle sensitive situations with more discretion and care. A more private approach would have avoided unnecessary embarrassment.
