    - Service was great (Fast, Friendly & Knowledgeable). - Food was amazing! You get big portions, a lot of options on the menu and it tastes amazing! - Ambiance is good, seating area is spaced, clean and good toilets.

Just me, adding another solo dining review to my toolbelt! It didn't start out that way. My sister was on her way to meet me in Folsom when... potty break... hit me. I tried to wait patiently in the parking lot until our entire party was present, but you know how that goes! I ran inside to use the bathroom and upon exit was so politely seated on a Tuesday morning knowing that the rest of my party was just down the road. Unfortunately my sister was delayed and I had to order on the run to make it to my next morning stop. The server and her partner were fabulous. When I mentioned I was going to split my meal with the person who didn't make it, they offered to box up half the meal to go. Amazing! I finished my meal, paid, and delivered my on the go portion with a confident flourish (the country fried steak and eggs were divine!). If I were to offer a minor suggestion, please include plasticware to customers when bagging up their food. She happily enjoyed her meal on my tailgate with chopsticks and baby wipes I had on hand (my issue, not yours!) but an included set of plastic ware would have taken my 5 star to a ten (is that even possible!?). Great experience, flexible waitstaff. Love the choose-your-own-hot-sauce shelf. Wish I'd thought to grab a photo!

I absolutely love this place. Their biscuits are amazing, The kielbasa is the best tasting I've ever had... Their portions are big. Their prices are fair.

My wife wanted to take ne out to breakfast.l, and we had some errands to run in Folsolm, so we ended up here. A good choice....but not perfect. A strong 4. I ordered the four cheese omelet with potatoes, and a half waffle. She ordered the protein plate. The server was very sweet and personable. Overall, a truly classic breakfast place experience in atmosphere and personality. A lot of families getting big, heart breakfast plates. The omelet itself was very cheesy, but cooked well. Not rubbery at all....rare for restaurants. However, the potatoes were SEVERELY undercooked. My teeth couldn't even get through some pieces. Disappointment, because it shared a plate with a well cooked omelet. She enjoyed her protein plate, and said she'd order it again. The waffle was good, but could be better. While it was cooked well, there was too strong of an aftertaste of.....malt? Barley? Some added flavor that didn't sit well. Overall, I think this is a very well run breakfast place that I would happily return to. With a few tweaks, they could easily be a 5

This was a great place to meet up with friends for breakfast, we were there on a weekday, although plenty of seating I think the weekends could be very busy. Truly so many items on the menu, but this morning I was looking for eggs and bacon and still wanted a waffle, so happy to find it on the menu. Perfect to have a half waffle with my eggs and bacon!

Ohhh, my bff and I found this place on Yelp after searching for a breakfast/brunch spot in Folsom. The plan was to have breakfast and then head over to Quamaria for coffee( that's still the plan) I was reading reviews of places and this place popped up. From the pictures alone and the reviews, I knew this was a winner and I wasn't wrong. We were greeted and shown to a table, the place was packed. We took our time trying to decide what to eat and my bff got one of their mimosas. We ordered Amelia's breakfast, that came with kielbasa, country potatoes, a huge biscuit, and eggs. We also ordered a side of grits and the stuffed French toast with whipped cream and tons of fresh strawberries. The portions and the food was great. The serving of kielbasa was almost the width of the plate! The grits were so buttery and the biscuit...the biscuit was huge and fluffy. The next time I visit, I'm getting the Extreme Bloody Mary. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our server, Amber. She knew the menu front and back and gave very useful tips of what was popular as well as her personal favorites. We really enjoyed talking to her. Everyone we encountered was attentive and pleasant. We will come back for the food and Amber!

    Oatmeal w poached eggs toast
    Rich H.

Service was decent considering they were busy on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the food suffered. I ordered oatmeal and two poached eggs. Pretty simple, but the oatmeal was cold and didn't look done and the poached eggs were ice cold as well as the. I usually like to order poached eggs because I know they're gonna be hot, but these obviously sat under a warmer for quite some time. Overall, the food was OK based on what I see other patrons order they give you ample amounts, but the prices are a bit high. I would definitely try again maybe at a slower time.

Great cafe for a hearty American brunch in Folsom! It is located at an outdoor strip mall with lots of parking. It doesn't look much from the outside but has a cute decor once you are in (think large wall clock and painted windows with an old town west view outside). We got seated immediately and our server was an older, sweet lady who was friendly and quick. Her recommendation was right on the spot! We ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, hot chocolate, the country eggs Benedict and the chili Verde skillet. The orange juice was definitely freshly squeezed and delicious. The hot chocolate was good. Portions for our main dishes were huge. We were able to have a full brunch, an evening snack and a full dinner for 2 out of those two dishes. The country Benedict was yummy - good sausage, decent eggs, decent biscuit, fantastic gravy. The potatoes could have had more of a kick. The gravy was quite heavy so you couldn't eat a lot of it at once. The chili Verde skillet was excellent - it didn't come on a skillet, which means that the food was warm but didn't continue cooking and burning on a hot skillet. It had eggs, pork, veggies, all smothered in chili Verde sauce with cheese and sour cream. It came with a side of buttered bread. The whole thing was really, really, really, really good!! I do wish that they had put slightly less salt, but my husband, who adds salt to his food, loved it. It was delicious and hearty, especially with the bread! I recommend ordering this and asking them to back off on the salt a little. Pricing wise, it was reasonable. The overall menu is extensive and their service is quick. We recommend coming here if you want a good American style brunch!

Best breakfast ever!! Biscuits and gravy were amazing and the cinnamon roll was the best we have ever had!

We moved to Sacramento end of 2020. Found this gem amidst exploring new nearby breakfast spots for weekend brunch. It's quaint, country vibe, lots of Johnny Cash decor since it is in Folsom, service is always great; everyone is incredibly kind, food is good, portions are large. It quickly became our go-to and easily a favorite.

    Kids Mickey Mouse Pancake
    Mel J.

We visited on Sunday around noon for family brunch. We were seated immediately in the booth. The restaurant was full but the service was fast. - kids Mickey mouse pancake & bacon: delicious and generous portion. The pancake was huge! It was fluffy and tasty. The bacon strips were super crispy - Agnes' homemade corn beef hash with hash brown: just okay. The eggs were cooked to our request (still had runny yolks). The hash brown was just okay - I wish they were more crispy. The corn beef hash was okay - lack of seasoning.

    Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito
    Melanie R.

Location: Tucked in a row of stores in Folsom, down near Sutter Middle School and the DMV Reservations: none, just walk-ins Service: friendly and attentive, food came out promptly and fresh Ambiance: this has the feel of a classic mom and pop breakfast spot. There's cute local decor and it has a comfortable, homey feeling What we ordered: Vegetarian breakfast burrito-- this was delicious! This place has a whole section of the menu for Vegetarian options which is so nice, especially for a breakfast spot that tend to be very meat forward. This burrito was a huge serving of egg, onion, bell pepper, avocado, tomato, pepper jack cheese, salsa & sour cream. It was also served with crispy hashbrowns. Grandma's Biscuits with Sausage Gravy-- my boyfriend had this and said it was great- flavorful and rich Overall this place is cute, local, and a great spot for breakfast!

There's another room on the left side of the cafe but I didn't have a chance to check it out since we left to get lunch at Belly. According to my friend, the room is gorgeous as well; I'll have to check it out next time I visit. They had a lot of scrumptious-looking dessert but they were a little out of my budget. They're beautiful though, and I'd try one for a special occasion (the coffee bean dessert cost $20). The cashier (owner, I'm guessing?) was welcoming and helpful when I said it was my 1st time there and pointed out a list of specials. I'll have to try the cherry blossom and banana drinks in the future! They have private shared parking with a bunch of other businesses; I found a spot easily on a recent Saturday morning. Thank you!

We came around 4:30pm and there was a lot of seating available. The hostess was welcoming and our server Evelyn was great. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Overall, food was delicious, and at half off, definitely worth it, Since there were only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time, it was fairly quiet, but I've been when it's packed, loud, and lively. Iron Horse Tavern is always a good choice for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and especially for Happy Hour!

It's a cute little coffee spot with a fun vibe and great music (Drake was playing!), although seating inside is very limited. There are a few outdoor seats as well. I ordered the Chef's Bowl, and because I love rice, they were kind enough to add an extra scoop of rice along with the potatoes, which I really appreciated. I had asked for the bacon to be removed, but unfortunately it was still included, and there was a lot of it in the bowl. I spent most of the meal picking it out, which definitely took away from the experience a bit, but the dish itself was still delicious. I also noticed the presentation was different from what I expected. My graham vanilla bourbon latte was missing the cookie, and the drink came in a plastic cup instead of the tall glass I'd had on previous visits. My food also came in a little to-go carton instead of plated presentation. Has the place moved away from using plates and glassware? If so, what a pity, presentation really does make a difference, especially for such a cute café atmosphere. One thing I found interesting is that despite being only a few feet away from Karen's Bakery, Sociology still had a steady line of people waiting for coffee and food, which says a lot about how popular it is. I'd definitely like to try it again on a weekday and hope my latte will be in a glassware and my Chef's bowl does not have bacon!

Still had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation. The restaurant is very large and split into sections. We were seated at a tall table with tall chairs in the bar area. Not very comfortable if you plan to stay a bit and talk or enjoy your meal. The atmosphere was noisy and the more alcohol served, the louder it became. I'm not a morning drinker (don't drink at all anymore actually) but the sparkling wine and champagne menu was very impressive. Lots of choices and ways to flavor your beverage if you like it fruity. Mimosa House is the name of the place afterall and they offer about 30 different flavors. The menu is HUGE. An actual book of pages and pages of breakfast & brunch items. I must have changed my mind 100 times while trying to decide whether to have breakfast or lunch. Our waiter was nice enough and must have thought we were all OK enough for him to drop a few F-bombs while tending to our table. I wasn't offended but a few at our table commented on it. Everyone at our table chose breakfast items, from strawberry French toast to chorizo skillets. I was the odd one and had the Mimosa House Club ($22): It had the third layer of bread which no one takes time with anymore but the "house spread," a cream cheese layer they add was just not right. Lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, avocado, bacon, sliced turkey, & shaved ham were good on the grilled sourdough but I wouldn't order again unless the cream cheese was removed. It was served with fries but I subbed a bowl of fresh fruit. Lots of vegetarian options and even the Kid's menu was decent. Some gluten-free options too. Parking can be hard. All street with nothing directly out front and handicapped spots nearby is sparse. No stairs or steps inside or outside but it is tight and cramped inside the restaurant. They have nice patio seating and I might have chosen that if I were the one making the reservation. Overall a nice place for breakfast & drinks.
