Perfect place for a soft baked cookie! They have enough flavors to please everyone and great service as well. I suggest getting their Toffee Chip cookie, which was phenomenal. The lemon and snickerdoodle cookies were also very tasty. I also liked my cinnamon maple latte, and their drink menu seemed fairly large for a cookie shop. This is a cute stop in this tourist town.

Gold Rush Cookie Company is a simply decorated store. A few tables inside to sit at. No public restroom. Food: Lemon Sunshine - Citrus-y flavor with the firm outside, yet soft and flavorful on the inside. Spicy Ginger - Strong ginger flavor with hints of Molasses. My favorite of the two. Blueberry Scone - Moist and flavorful. Support your local business. Congrats on being at this location for over a year and overall in business for over 6 years. Best of luck to you!

Great new cookie and coffee place in the heart of downtown Grass Valley! See todays receipt ( August 6). They are located on East Main Street with plenty of parking across the street. When you walk inside it smells sooo good..fresh baked cookies! They have an assortment of coffees as well. They have more than just cookies ( see my photos). I got a chocolate cookie and a 12 ounce coffee to go. I will have to fight over the cookie with my boyfriend! They have inside and outside areas to enjoy your sweets. Don't forget to try their babkas! The owners are friendly and the whole building inside has been completely redone and it looks and feels like a brand new place! Right now they are doing a soft opening, so check the hours I took a picture of. Gigantic cookies and definitely worth the price! Good job!

Absolutely the best cookies Ive ever had. Their recipe for chocolate chip is PERFECTION! Not really sure what that guy is talking about who wrote a 2 star review. Cakey? Not at all! Also, comparing girl scout cookies to this cookie master is absurd. Laughable even. This place is fabulous.

I've been buying these cookies and chocolate babka almost weekly over the last couple years, from the Nevada City farmers market. (Shout out to the snickerdoodles and chocolate chip!) When I heard they had a new spot with breakfast and coffee options, I had to check it out. The breakfast sandwiches are made on freshly-baked biscuits which are AMAZING, with perfectly-seasoned eggs and melted cheese. They're so big that I saved half of mine; my willpower paid off later when I got to enjoy it for an afternoon snack. Can't wait to go back for more. Regarding pricing, everything is totally reasonable for the flavor and quality. These breakfast sandwiches would cost double at a sit-down restaurant. And the babka and cookies have made great gifts. Beyond the yummy food, Karen and Mark are super warm and friendly. Great customer service! If you're heading to Scott's Flat to be on the water or stage for mountain biking, this would be a perfect spot to fuel up. Only a few minutes drive from Grass Valley - and it's a beautiful one! Easy to spot this place off the highway.

Assorted cookies: double chocolate, chocolate chip, toffee (house made toffee), snickerdoodles, and crunchy peanut butter.

If you have the great fortune to be in the area when they're open, definitely stop!! I consider myself to be a great baker and their cookies are truly something special. The biscuit on the breakfast sandwich is easily the BEST biscuit I've ever eaten. The crispy edges and flakey, buttery layers will keep me coming back. I want to buy these biscuits by the dozen. The service was also very friendly.

    Chocolate babka!

Second times the charm!…read more Came in today Sunday for lunch while shopping with the fam and safe to say today's experience was top notch compared to our first a little while ago! The service was quick, we were seated in a timely manner and the food was so good! We sat closer to the bar and our server was on top of it! We ordered and had our food right away not even a 20 minute wait! We got the pulled pork sandwich, recommended by our server, the western burger, and the Mac and cheese for our little! It was all soooo good! The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. Happy to see this business thriving! And glad to update our review to a positive one! Today was great! Cheers!

First off I do not frequent higher end restaurants very often. I wanted to take my girlfriend out…read morefor a nice dinner on my birthday, so we invited my brother and his wife. I made reservations for 4 of us for a Friday night at 5:00. We were seated in the dining area on time, however because of the time of day the sunshine that was reflected off the building across the street through the window was absolutely blinding. We moved a table back but there was no difference. I let our guests sit in the seats that were not facing this terrible reflection and just dealt with it myself. We should have actually moved completely but didn't want to make a big deal about it. This issue could be easily fixed with blinds (duh) So we ordered our food. Women ordered the ball steak (which is sirloin) my brother ordered fish and I ordered the filet. Well the ball steaks were absolutely horrible (tough as shoe leather) fish (salmon) was ok and filet was also good but undercooked plus they forgot my mashed potatoes. ($69 for a 8oz filet which was probably more like 6 oz ) you would expect much better. We pointed that out (which is quite unbelievable they forgot the potatoes) they eventually brought them on a separate plate ( they were just warm). The butter was still pretty much frozen in the little tin cup that they serve it in. So we pointed out the two ball steaks were like leather. Both of the women have ordered those before and they have been good, well not this time. For the kind of money you spend for these meals, it really is sad. They did remove the two steak dinners from the bill but that does not make it all good in my opinion. Oh yeah and 5 slices of tomato's with cheese on top ( that were not ripe ) at $18 are you serious) For one of the top restaurants in this area, they completely failed. IWaitress was very nice and apologized (like they should) but unfortunately we won't be going back.

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. Fort Rock beer on tap ,live music, fun place and I will be back.

I'll reserve judgment on the vegetarian entre options until we have tried more. First try was a bit bland even with ordering extra hot peppers. The vegetarian taco is a nice option, but it really tastes like a tofu scramble in a tortilla. In other words, it is great that there is a vegetarian taco option. It is unfortunate that it feels like an afterthought.

Coming to three forks was such a treat being able to get something yummy that's also locally…read moresourced. We ordered a house sausage pizza and to add the salami to the pizza which was a great choice loved the pizza we watched it get made right in front of us and their bacon and cheddar melt. I personally though the bacon and cheddar melt was fine I probably wouldn't order it again looking back on it just simply on the fact it was $21 and the pizza was $23 it just felt very boring and overpriced in comparison to the pizza. I do love the sustainability of this place but find it odd the water cups are plastic after all the effort put into reusable, sustainable, organic, and farm fresh It definitely eat here again especially with the fact the menu is always changing the pastries here were a hit every other table had something from the bakery or a pizza. This is a great spot to come on a date or with a bunch of friends. I haven't tried the brews here yet but I'm looking forward to it. The staff here are very sweet and food comes out quickly. Parking is right outside of Three forks and plentiful even on a Sunday afternoon.

I stopped at Three Forks during my lunch break from jury duty because it was close and convenient…read more I ordered a BLT and a small iced mocha and was honestly shocked when the total came to $34. I paid because I only had an hour for lunch and needed to eat. I got my mocha and sat down to wait for my sandwich. As I waited, I noticed several people who ordered after me receiving their food while I was still sitting there. About 15 minutes later, I finally received my to-go sandwich. When I opened the container, it was obvious it had been sitting there for a while. The sandwich was sweaty, and half of it was soggy. Apparently, they had forgotten to bring it to me. By that point, my mocha was already gone before I had even started eating. The BLT itself was made on regular-sized sandwich bread, and the tomatoes and bacon were good. But $34 for a basic BLT and a small iced mocha is outrageous, especially considering the wait and the condition of the sandwich when I finally received it. I will not be going back. The prices are simply far too high for what you get.
