We tried the pastries from this bakery for the first time this morning. Each pastry was outstanding. The maritozzi was fluffy and light in texture. The ham & cheese pastry was delicious. People were lined up to get their hands on some beautiful baked goods when we arrived, but the line went expediently. Definitely will be back to try the cinnamon rolls! read more

I must say this was the most amazing sourdough. I've had in a long time and we are sourdough snobs. It was truly sour, but it was soft in the middle and it had such a great chew. I am really excited to try all the other breads, I wish I lived closer. I'm in Roseville next visit every time when we're in town, I will truly bring home more great job awesome bakery.!!! we went home and made the most amazing BLT and it was awesome with fresh tomatoes in our garden. read more

This place is so good that they are often sold out before closing. It took quite a few drive-bys for me to even catch them open, and their reputation and popularity are well-deserved. The straight ahead sourdough sandwich bread is delicious--almost too good for sandwiches--but I was really wowed by the blueberry focaccia! Visited Nov. 16th..see receipt. This place opens at 9am and there was already a line inside! They are a newer business located on Main Street ( next to Cirinos). GREAT fresh sourdough bread with lots of options. I ordered the classic for ten bucks and the focassia with garlic for 6 bucks. Both were still warm! I can't wait to enjoy it with my chili! The couple that run it are friendly and fast. The breads were flying off the shelves! What a great addition to Grass Valley! Ps. Go early because they run out pretty quickly! read more

I have been trying to find a really good sourdough bread like for years For me, great sourdough bread has a number of qualities which are important to me: freshness, texture, not difficult to digest and preferably a sour taste. I was very impressed with this new local bakery, and although the loaves are not particularly sour, this was the best bread I have had in years. I got their classic round loaf for $10 and ate about half of it the first day! This local bakery deserves our support and I hope people will get out and buy some of their bread, even if it's just for a special occasion. I go in here once a week for the Ube loaf! My absolute fav, but you can't go wrong with anything else. Arguably best sourdough in the county. Amazing place, just be sure to be here early to get what you want. They're closed Monday through Wednesday, but if you're in town around 9 any other day, please stop in even for a look. Not impressed. Bought a brown bread after waiting in a long line while he customer service was below par...as it had just opened and there were not enough workers to deal with the line. I asked for the bread to be sliced and since they were not ready for that, I had to wait until the machine could be readied. I watched a man slide my bread which was falling apart. He bagged it anyway. When I got home, I found that the bread was of poor quality and went to return it the next day. A woman one of the owners I had previously met....seemed blasé, about the bread and just declared , yes they had some problems. She sat calmly on a stool as if she had not a care in the world, totally unapologetic. I got a different bread, a Russian Rye,....was no t impressed with that either. The bread is expensive by my standards and given my experience....I found I could get much cheaper and better bread in the area. read more

The focaccia is the fluffiest ever, and the sweet focaccias are genius, so good with butter or cream cheese for breakfast or a treat. The savory loaves are so delicious too! I love the rye, it's refreshingly different, and I also love the breads with savory swirls of flavor. You can tell the ingredients are premium, and the additions are so creative. I first saw Wyld Tiger Sourdough on social media and was visually stunned at the beauty of the loafs and how creative the flavors were.. I was excited to find her at my local farmers market and was delighted she was personally as lovely as her breads. I keep going back to support her- trying new flavors . I also plan on educating myself with a friend by taking her class on sourdough making in the future. .Its an incredible gift to our community having her small business be a part of it. This place sells our 2nd best sourdough bread of all time and if we lived near by, we would stop here every week. The bread is just perfectly baked and we love the variety that they have. We have tried their regular, ube, and their cheddar cheese sourdough; each was perfectly baked and delicious in their own way. I had (mostly) stopped eating bread many years ago. I still try it every now and then but it's always hard on my body. Wyld Tiger sourdough is like a different food! Not only is it delicious and the perfect texture , but it doesn't affect me like most breads. The natural yeast is given enough time to fully digest the parts of the wheat I'd prefer not to without getting overly tangy. The bakers are conscious of their sources as well, and even the freshness of the grind. I'm so thankful they are doing what they do for our community. read more
