To this day me and my significant other talk about how horrible of a cleaning experience this was. Originally from February 28th, 2018: I really wish I was here writing a 5 star review, 20 minutes after the team left. Instead, I've run into a situation where I'm writing a one star review because of a situation with one positive aspect, and the rest negative. I'll start with the positive first, Magdalene and the two people who cleaned were very sweet, and unbelievably nice. Unfortunately this isn't a review of their personalities. I booked an appointment last week for a morning cleaning, arranged my own schedule around cleaners being here that morning, only to have it rescheduled because Magdalene mentioned she made a scheduling error. No big deal, things happen. Switched to the afternoon around 1pm - 1:30. I did not get a call until 1:30 on the dot that they were running over an hour late. Ok, now two scheduling mishaps. I've rearranged my own schedule twice, and have been on the phone way too many times necessary to book a cleaning appointment, but still went ahead and was able to reschedule for the next morning. Fast forward to now, the cleaning was just simply sub par. Simple things a cleaners should do. Sweep the floor, dust bunnies were found in multiple areas of the apartment. Wipe coffee table down, it clearly wasn't cleaned. Make bed, at the very least straighten the pillows if they hadn't been. And as any apartment cleaning I've had in the past, attempt to tidy up and make things presentable if the client did not have time to do so prior to cleaning (unfolded blankets etc). This should have been a positive review, because after all of the rescheduling and timeliness problems, they could have at the very least put extra detail into this cleaning. Extremely disappointing and hope a more thorough job is done for other clients. Addition to review in 2020: It's also important to mention that in the review I say "Magdalene" was nice. This review was written before she literally screamed at me about this situation, and when I told her I would be writing a review on Yelp, she said that she would not be refunding my money despite the absolutely horrible job at cleaning they did. I provided images of the poor cleaning job (which after reading additional reviews, seems like a consistent fixture of their cleaning business), and she said they could either could come back and reclean the place, as if they didn't do an awful job and massively inconvenience their customer multiple times already, and then tried to extort me for a refund based on a Yelp review. Literal craziness that a customer should not have to go through. I have had multiple cleaners from different companies since I used Ground to Crown and couldn't be happier with all of them. Ground to Crown is an ironic name, because it's as if they didn't even look at the ground :shoulder shrug:

On the day of service, 2 cleaning ladies arrived closer to 1 pm and were finished by 2:30. I was charged $350. I was assured the $50 overcharge would be refunded. After multiple assurances over the last 2 months, I have yet to see a refund. Also payment is only accepted via Venmo or Zelle, so no option to dispute the charge. Quality of the cleaning was good but would not recommend based on poor business practices.
