This is Terrible place, do not eat here. They cook all the chicken and sides around 11am. After that they keep everything under warming lights and serve the same chicken all day even though it's been there over eight hours. Someone is going to get ill from eating here. I would not give it a one star and if so it would be -1star. Ok the the catfish was good. Corporate needs to close this store down, it's on the same street as 4 other Chicken restaurants. I had heard about this place recently. I was completely unfamiliar with the chain. I have never been to a location before. I stopped in this evening to try it out and was mostly impressed. There was no wait for food and it was prepared quickly and served hot. At first I was a little disappointed because I couldn't just order a scoop of the chicken salad to try out, I had to order the $5 sandwich but it was so good it was worth it. I was also disappointed that the two piece plate of roast chicken included a breast and a wing when I prefer dark meat but didn't want to get the larger more expensive plate. Well, that breast was almost the size of the plate that was served on. It was so huge it was easily equal to two if not three pieces of chicken. And my objection to white meat is that it is usually so dry and hard to chew but this white meat was totally moist and tender, as was the dark meat on the wing. The wing was pretty plump also. For $6.99 the plate included a side, I chose dirty rice, a roll, and a drink. Bonus points because they had Big Red on tap! My favorite. The interior looks pretty clean and I noticed they cleaned the tables fairly shortly after customers left. The bathroom was Immaculate. The drink area was a total disaster. I was half afraid I'd lean up against the counter and end up with a soaking shirt. I love the music they played in the background. So many good songs. But it was so chilly I was actually shivering even though it's August and it was in the eighties outside. This place isn't terribly close and convenient for me but I probably wouldn't hesitate to stop by here again. That roast chicken is something that the other fried chicken places don't carry. read more

We heard it was great, so we tried it. I ordered a two piece roasted chicken meal which in the menu says 1 breast and 1wing. I got a leg and a thigh. Which I don't care for in the first place. The mashed potato's were made with water and not flavorful. My daughter got a salad with chicken tenders and she said it was fresh and the chicken good. The place was clean. One of two of the people behind the cashier counter were eating (with their hands) and the other drinking and drink. I probably wouldn't come back. read more

I went here last night ordered the 15 pcs mixed meal paid over $54 for it. to be told they were out of roasted chicken I had to wait 15 minute. Which I did the employee come out to my car saying that the other employee only pulled out dark meat. I was like ok at this point. Got all the way home across town to find out the chicken was still raw. I called them to let them know and the lady started yelling at me. And told to bring it back to get more. Easy to see why the parking lot is empty. Had the 4 piece catfish combo 15.99. Wow! Four half fillets, the roll was bigger than the amount of fish I received. I thought the two squeeze packets of tarter sauce was not gonna be enough. Turns out it was plenty. Coleslaw was boring and stale. No ice in my tea. Had to order two orders of shrimp. Another 5.00 dollars. 22.00 dollars total , could easily fit all of the food in the drink container. It was all really bland and tasteless. I'm pretty sure everything thing came from a great value bag from Walmart's frozen section. Hell of a business plan. Shove cheap generic frozen food out the window until all the first time customers visit the store, then sell out and go find another trusting community to fleece. Do y'all make anything you sell? We got five star service at this restaurant. The window attendant was quick and thorough. Another employee saw us through the window and hurried over and gave us two containers of ranch dressing to go along with our wicked wings order. She didn't know us, and she certainly didn't have to do this, but next time I am in Amarillo, this is where I will get my chicken fix! read more

They had run out of chicken strip, and I thought okay I'll get the whole chicken but my server could see I had my heart set on chicken strip and asked if I didn't mind wait 10 minutes I could have the strips and they where very quick to get my order ready. We had the boneless chicken thighs the 1st visit with the fries and dirty rice. Very good. Then in the last visit had 3 piece chicken with thighs and same sides. Could not have enjoyed anymore delicious food! Thee we rolls are great! We will be back again. read more

The sign on the door said they closed at 10'pm. The lobby was locked at 9pm. Drive thru still open, but the sign on the door needs to state that. I would have left if I hadn't already made an online order. Not good business practices. Missed several customers but perhaps that doesn't matter to you. read more

If I could give this establishment negative numbers I would. I am a large fan of Golden Chick and have been for years until now. If this was not the only one in my route I would have left. I went there on 11/19/22 around 1405, xss and was ignored until I asked if someone was taking orders. I do understand not having enough shift workers, however common courtesy to customers is a simple hello I will be with you. No hello, no welcome, no goodbye. Walked in and staff just looked at us as if we had a boogie hanging from the nostril fluttering with every breath. 4 employees working the line. First one looked and went right back to dropping bags on the floor picking them up with gloves on and right back to the food she goes. Yummy!!! Next lady walks around the center station. Looks at us with disgust and right back to her station. Cook from the back walks up looks with same disgruntled look. I went to the door to see if a sign said seating closed, no. Being literally the only person at the place, the girl manning the drive through needed 5 minutes before she could be troubled to take my order. Don't bother asking for smaller cups they don't have them. You'll be scolded for asking. Which would be fine except they fill up the cups to the very top so when you handle the cup the lid pops off and soda goes everywhere. And when this happens the attendant will stare at you with malice. If you are brave enough to ask for napkins she will scold you saying I said to be careful.
