This was my first time visiting a Raising Cane's. I've been in Texas about a year and it was time to see what the hype is all about. I went with the chicken tender sandwich. I asked for it without sauce but of course it came out with the sauce on a it. Not a huge deal but really annoying. It did get corrected in a timely fashion which was nice. I'm not a huge chicken fingers person so their whole angle really isn't up my ally. I think my major complaint is the lack of choice when it come to sauces. I feel like that would have given me more to work with. Overall, it was fine, but to me it was just another fast food experience. Raising Cane's just isn't the spot for me. read more

I ordered a single chicken finger and I normally get either a nice sized serving or two smaller servings as a part of the simple straight-forward order. I really like Raising Cains in St Louis so was looking forward to having one here. The first 2 times we came just after they opened it was great. So we came back so my daughter could try it. Now that the hoopla is over, the pieces are about half size. The coke slaw tasted like it had turpentine and the lemonade had no lemon flavor at all, but had a taste of bad water. My husband said the bathrooms were filthy. I do not think we will be back. I don't see them lasting. read more

Just returned home after a 18 year adventure in corporate life and living in Florida. Boy is it good to be back in Amarillo Texas again. This is a completely new Chicken experience for me. All they do is chicken fingers and the do it well. Service is nice and attentive and the last time I got a senior discount from the cashier. That was surprising but the 1st 2 visits was not offered or even knew from the young cashiers there. That should be offered or even automatically if they see we are of that age. My mistake on the second time I did not order the 4 piece meal and basically ordered the same thing of thing of the select your pieces and it was almost 2 dollars more than the regular meal. I didn't want the toast or the sauce and it was almost 10 dollars for the same meal on the menu board. My mistake but the cashier should have noticed it and suggested I get the meal and save me some money. I like the place and the food the sauce not so much. Reminds me of watered down thousand island dressing maybe they could offer a selection but it is their signature sauce. The other thing is turn down the music. I don't mind it but it's too loud and you can't have a conversation with it at that level. I will be back it's good food just some things I didn't realize of was offered each time lite senior discount and the price of the same meal by ordering of the select menu was more expensive and should have been caught. I have give it when it's due. I don't like chicken fingers. They're usually dry and too big to handle when you're driving. Cain's on Coulter was excellent. The fingers were fresh and hot and very moist, not greasy, and it didn't drip on me. Crumbs didn't get all over the car. Mariah did an excellent job of describing the sauce, it was good. The last few times I have gone the chicken fingers have gotten smaller and tonight I was given the wrong drink. I keep thinking it is just a fluke but it continues to not get any better. So glad Raising Cane has come to our town! We've never seen one before, so we were eager to try it. We went on the first Friday they were open and boy were they packed (and for good reason!). The chicken fingers were tender and juicy, loved the creamy coleslaw, the Texas toast had just the right amount of butter and grilling. Really good crinkle cut fries. This was 25 minutes AFTER we ordered. 30 minutes after they called we STILL didnt have our order. No, the batter isn't spiced or particularly memorable, but the chicken was really juicy and delicious. That will keep me coming back. Cane's sauce was a very nice complement, and so was the lightly crisped garlicky Texas Toast. Slaw and crinkle fries, however, were just OK. This restaurant is good, even though a little expensive for what it is, I would say it is. There is a Chick-fil- A literally right next !!. There is a KFC a few blocks away and Cain's is about $2.00 per person higher to eat. With tax, that is nearly $10.00 higher for our little family. That adds up quickly when a family has several kids or extra adults living in a home with a conventional family. The dipping sauce is very good! I don't like that you can't not get the drinks on dinners and save .$.79 to $1.00. One time, when I opted out of the drinks since there is four of us, we just didn't get drinks, even though we had paid for them! Not the smartest choice!
