I made an error when doing my pickup order & instead of ASAP I put the time as the next morning. I went straight to the restaurant & explained my problem. Jack was at the counter & immediately helped me by calling his manager & working the problem out for me. I left 10 minutes later with my order freshly cooked. Jack personally cared about me as a customer & bagged my order. This was not the first time I had seen Jack care about his job. Please hang on to this employee. He is priceless & needs a raise. I am a Cain's guy, but Golden Chick is just as good - maybe better - and I can explain why. Golden Chick marinates their chicken; not a lot of places do that and even cooking at home most of us don't bother marinating anything. But they do and it makes all the difference in the world. The chicken stays absolutely moist and tender. Nice crisp breading. You get your choice of dipping sauces including white gravy which I love! I never write reviews and this place has me heated even though I kept control. I originally pulled up and browsed the menu and changed my mind told them I'm sorry but thank you as I drove off. I came back because I decided that I wanted fries and a Large sweet tea. As I recieve my food the fries are burned so I asked if they could remake them. I guessed this prompted an attitude because I received the same fries dropped in grease again. This time i pulled around and I asked if I could have a refund being very polite. The window person has changed. I asked if I could receive a refund for fries and I am now dealing with Breanna the girl who brought out the second burned fries. I eat golden chick all the time so I know what the food should look and taste like. I gave back the fries and the receipt. She asked for all my change I received back when originally paying for the order, I paid with a twenty and the orders was almost $7 so I got back $13 and some change. She asked for $13.20 back and I was a little confused and repeated the number to her but I assumed she wanted more ones and wanted to give me like a 5 instead. She then proceeded to give the refund to another lady the first original lady I was dealing with and that was $3.24. I stood there waiting on my other change they had both walked off. They come back like what now and the girl is hiding behind the window so I couldn't see her and I'm like she took back my original change. They are like no she gave it back I'm like no I wouldn't still be here. I don't understand why she asked for it back in the first place but I assume she is pocketing the money. The manager comes and says well I have to count the drawer I'm like okay. I am still being patient and they asked me to pull up again. This time I park and come inside. As I am waiting the workers are bothered staring one lady asked had I been helped but the others were making it seem like I am the problem. As the general manager counted the drawer the girl who took the money stood with him. He gives her the money and she goes to back and hands it off to someone else. The shift manager comes and says I guess he found the money as if I was lying but it was $10 and she took back $13.20. Again I assumed she wanted the ones back which is the reason I gave it in the first place. I kindly told him again it was $13.20 not $10 so he goes back and was like she said it's $13 so now the general manager has a attitude as they all do but I was being patient and not giving them a hard time. The general manager comes and bring back the extra $3.25 and hands the money as if he's not trying to touch my hand even by accident. Like more so of like a drop. He walked off. I did not recieve an apology for inconvenience everyone treated me as if I was the problem and I believe because I originally drove off and backed up which I apologized for through the speaker but I was indecisive. I saw the fries they were passing out to customers on the inside and they were fresh and not burned. I think from the very beginning I was targeted and I just never want to visit this store again. This place is better than i expected. Ive always said that its the employees that makes or break you. The customer service here is the best ive ever seen at any other franchise Goldeb Chick. The food was fresh and very presentable. I ordered the 2 piece dark with mashed potatoes for under $4.32. Chicken nice and crispy and hot. Mashed potatoes nice and smooth. Not lumpy at all. Drive thru is extremely slow. They always forget to put something that I ordered in my bag or give my order to someone else ahead of me but don't have a problem insuring I am charged for it. It's close to my job that's the only reason I bothered. The one by my house is so much better. It gives me hope that Golden Chick just has a bad representation here at this location. read more

The people here are incredibly nice, that's most of the reason for the high rating. Every time I drive thru or walk in I'm greeted with someone treating me kindly, that's nice. The food is decent, it's not as flavorful as a lot of the other places around but almost every time I've eaten here it's been cooked all the way through, and that's nice. We've been coming here since it opened and have never had a bad experience! In fact, a few times we went through the drive thru a few mins before closing, and although they were all out of chicken breasts, drumsticks or a side item, they always threw in a half dozen extra rolls or an extra side item or a free drink for free! We've even received freebies for a long wait. Waiting a little while for fresh, made to order food isn't a valid complaint.
