been coming here since i was a kid, never disappointed! not the cleanest place but this is your ideal location for a nice, cheap, usually warm, meal! the restrooms are a bit dingy, but the food is actually pretty good. my favorite is their soft serve ice cream, i honestly cant get enough of it. the service is excellent as well! they make sure to ask if you are finished with your plate before taking it to be cleaned. the lady at the front counter even helped me exchange my $20 into 5's to leave as a tip with no issue. read more

Used to come here a looong time ago. Driving past and looking for a good Chinese buffet that's still opened during Covid is tough. Decided to try it again. Had my girlfriend call and ask for prices. 12.95 plus drink. Okay that's not bad. Walked in and it looks exactly the same. Price for two ended up being 28ish dollars but apparently an up charge on card users which came out to a little over $29. Lady tells us to chose seats and enjoy. Walking to buffet was very underwhelming. Everything looked like it had been sitting out quite a while. What was edible was hard/cold. Probably not coming back. Definitely the worst buffet I've been to. Everything was cold and sitting out a while. They said they were going to make fresh stuff. All they did was the it in the back, toss it in some sauce, and change the pan. It was all still old cold. Then they started setting up a table with all kinds of fresh new stuff that wasn't on the buffet. . . . But I was for employees only. Suspect and weird. The ice cream though. I've ever eaten a spoonful of mold, but I imagine that's what it tasted like. Ate 2 spoons full and gagged. Burped it up for an hour after and almost puked. Always wanted to try this place out since I don't live far from it and pass it every time on my way to work. But to say the least this place just wasn't good. Food was cold, looked like everything was sitting out, and when I took some orange chicken I was actually chewing on an orange peel that had sauce on it. This place was awful. I wished we would have seen the food before paying. Food was old and greasy and with no flavor. You could definitely tell the food had been sitting out all day without being replaced. There were so many flies/fruit flies in the food area. The fruit was horrid. It was old and even growing mold. You must think me daft to try to tie in Nuclear Armageddon with a review of a Chinese Buffet. And You would prolly be right. But go with me here... If they dropped the big one near you, and you survived the "bada-boom" you had a reasonable assurance that sometime soon you would become incredibly ill with Radiation Sickness, which, I'm told, makes terminal Cancer seem like a Mosquito bite. Well I had a touch of this anxiety today. I et at the Golden China Buffet, and I convinced myself that I would be sick from it before long. I didn't know how long it would take to manifest, or to what extent I would suffer, but I was reasonably assured gastric distress would be upon me soon. I shoulda known. I looked at their Business Card: the biggest print on it was "365 Days Do Not Close". What would have been more appropriate was "365 Days do not Clean" The place was filthy, and staggeringly so. But as any visitor to any Chinatown knows, uncleanliness is next to tastiness. The best Chinese Joints I've ever been to have been unrepentant Sh!tholes, with foul smells and worse lavatories. I've been to some upscale Chinese joints that were gorgeous, hygenically sound and completely boring to the palate. So Anyway... I drive past this joint often, and there's always a bunch of cars in the lot. You can't see the abundant grime from the street, but you see it as you park, at about the same time you're questioning your culinary judgement. When I see a functional sewerage pre-treatment plant masquerading as a restaurant, I am usually disgusted and can't wait to get in to try the fare. And when there are cars in the lot, I become quite nosy, and wont rest until all is revealed. The place is a mess outside and inside as well. An overcrowded counter has gum and assorted neo-oriental flotsam. There was a table with chinese restaurant junk on it, and an infant in a stroller pushed up against the table. Mom was ostensibly the waitress. I learned you were supposed to pay as you entered, but I must have looked trustworthy enough and was not stopped to pay the toll. That toll, by the way was $6.99 (Including Drink). The fare didn't look much better. I have never seen such unattractive Chinese Food. It looked like it was slapped togther and thrown in the steam table pans. Nothing appetizing about the presentation at all. If I was dressing a movie set and the script called for a sh!thole Chinese Buffet, I couldn't do better than the reality of the Golden China Buffet. Now here's where it gets curious. The place didn't smell bad, and the plates and silverware were quite acceptible. Even more curious, with the exception of the EggRolls, the food was tasty, and not bad at all. The Crab Rangoons were much better than I've had at the Kobe Buffet which costs twice the price. I tried a little bit of everything, and while this wasn't 5-star cuisine, it certainly didn't suck. OK, the EggRolls sucked, but I've never had a good EggRoll at ANY buffet, ever. There was a steady stream of business. It certainly wasn't the curb appeal that was drawing people in, so this must have been repeaters. Puzzling, indeed. This is my favorite China buffet in town. Partly because it's the only one. But I would say that 4/5 times coming here you'll get stale food. I came here today at 2pm and everything is pretty old. Rubber shrimp. Bourbon chicken is good. Not sure why there is a microwave constantly in use in the dining room but it doesn't really seem right. Decluttering could help. They definitely seem to be skimping as much as possible to save money such as the sauce covering the bananas today. There is a fountain drink machine and ice cream. The fruit looks fresh. Tasty food just not usually fresh. The fish tank could use some water. Slimy green beans. $8 for all an all you can lunch though is pretty good. Especially with muscles and seafood options. Definitely would recommend this restaurant, I would suggest to go on weekends as it get extremely packed on weekends. The food is delicious and the ice cream machine is always working. However when you go in there, COVID no longer appears to exist.. at least on weekends it doesn't, there's no social distancing, the employees are wearing their masks but no one else is, nor do they sit anyone apart. read more

This place was good. It wasn't the best thing I have had but it was awesome! The waitress was really nice. The cooks were giving fresh and hot food by the minute. Me and my mom went there. Food wasn't bad. They had some seafood offerings like fried shrimp, fried tilapia, salmon, mussels. The meat dishes are cooked with different seasonings, not like the same old, same old. Besides the authentic Chinese offerings, they also serve fries, pizza, onion rings etc. to appeal to everyone. Price is just right. Drinks are included. The staff are friendly and they even gave us a free calendar. They also kept replenishing the buffet even at 3 o clock in the afternoon. It's actually one of the Chinese buffets we found that had hot food constantly. We will come back! read more

My daughter and I went in at 9pm for a late dinner. They close at 10:00 and they had 1/2 the food available. The food that was available was not fresh at all. You pay when you first walk in and when I talked to them about the lack of fresh food and requested a partial refund they said NO. They said they could make us what we want, I requested honey chicken and was told that takes to long and they would have to throw it away at closing. When you have a buffet it is to be fresh food until closing. Yes you might have to toss some food, that's the con of having a buffet I suppose. If you don't want to make fresh food up until close then apply a discount after a certain time. I will never go back and will tell everyone about this place and how horrible it was. Never been to a worse place. Food was most likely out all day, stale, and just plain nasty. Stains everywhere, every seat cushion ripped, silver wear bent and dirty, cups were sticky, I could go on and on. I think the owners live there. Their daughter was doing school work and had papers and school supplies stacked on a table in the middle of the dining room. There was a child's swing in the back on two trees. I went to this place because I always see the parking lot so full, I thought that it would be a good place to eat. I took my mother one Sunday afternoon and I could not believe the place looked as icky on the inside as it did on the outside. I decided to browse an pick out some food. First, my fried chicken oozed with orange grease. I was disappointed that none of the food was really hot unless you jumped as soon as some was brought out and eat as soon as possible. Okay, so I just went to this buffet on 4-20-15. These reviews are a little misleading, except maybe for Scott M's brilliant work of comedy on this page. It's not dirty first off. Floor are swept and mopped, tables are clean and nothing looks particularly dingy. It is on par with a nice fast food place or a decent public school. The food is warm, and plentiful. Though the flavors of some of the dishes were not the typical seasonings. Overall some stuff was very good and other stuff was bad, but that's the same at any buffet. Overall it's pretty good and the staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are also very decent. It was only 18.99 for two people including drinks. read more

The place was just plain nasty. 75% of the patrons were 10 years old or younger. The kids had there hands all over the food and breathing and coughing and sneezing on it. All the food was cold. It was a bad experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't give it any stars if I could. But in order to post this comment I have to rate this dump with one star. On the bright bright side, I did not get food poisoning that I was almost positive I'd suffer later. On the down side, I did expect to get it. What makes it tragic is that the staff was very quick to clear and clean and the food tasted pretty good. If only it wasn't at BEST lukewarm and congealed, and perhaps the place a little less shabby, it would be a a four star place. Great desserts though. read more
