The food could improve they need to do a little bit more cleaning cause it's not too clean in there and I don't know what's in those rolls egg the lady at the front counter she's not nice at all. They'll give you some fresh rice on top then the bottom it's old rice at the bottom you can tell because it two different colors I have received that myself, and I took it back over there to them and they made me some fresh rice it was all one color. The cooks are nice. I guess he's the owner of whatever the chef of whatever but he will come and stand there and look and then they start talking in Chinese, but it's OK cause I act like I talk Chinese too at first it was nice and then I've been getting food that was not good this week. I went there and purchased rice and my top rice was good. My bottom rice was not and I asked for a vegetarian rice. I do not eat meat when I get eggrolls I asked for vegetarian eggrolls, but I don't know what's in them eggrolls I will never purchase any food from them again I'm going to go to Naperville. They have the best Chinese food. I think it's called Chinese kitchen. That's the best. I don't want to do that ride, but if I eat Chinese food, I have to know what's in there and I have to experience it and see with my own eyes. The food is awesome the eggrolls they're good. Better than expected. It has gotten bad reviews but it turned out fairly okay the last time here. New China Hut has a few locations and this one is in Oswego. Has typical Chinese restaurant items. The menu also features a few vegetarian friendly choices such as tofu. Fairly recently we got carryout. It seems to get most business this way as there's never anyone inside. They seem to encourage this. A lot of times the inside is closed. There's only a few tables. I ordered us the Kung Pao Tofu at lunch. It's $10.35 for the only portion. This is one of the vegetarian friendly choices you can get, and the only good one that has tofu and not just vegetables. This only comes as large size. This has green peppers, mushrooms, onions, pea pods, and peanuts in a spicy Szechuan sauce. A much better meal than expected. The freshness wasn't an issue. Good lunch at least the last time we came here. It has typical Chinese stuff and some vegetarian friendly options. This place is mostly takeout. read more

I ordered from them yesterday, I was so disappointed the General Tao's chicken was overcooked and I think the chicken was old because it was not good. I think they added extra sauce/ spicy to try and cover it up. The chicken rice soup was all rice with some chicken thrown on top and they was barely any broth at all. The food is good most of the time. We continue to go there about once a month. BUT I think that is going to change. We always order two meals and Crab Rangoon. The food is good. My husband always has them add vegetables to the sweet & sour chicken and there is a 3$ up-charge. Not a problem but what is the problem is one small rice when we order two meals. As an Amazon Prime member I recently found out I had GrubHub for free. In that I live quite rural I had never used a delivery app before. New China Hut in Oswego was one of the Chinese places available for delivery to me so decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was plentiful and quite good. My husband had s&s pork. I am a s&s pork snob so I'm pretty picky about it. This one was very good. I had egg foo young. Also quite good. We will order from here again. It is a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. If there is one criticism it would be the staples in the food containers. I kind of hate that. It's dangerous and I don't really get why Chinese restaurants tend to staple everything. read more

Due to less than stellar Yelp reviews, I've been hesitant to try this place. I begrudgingly accepted a coworker's lunch invitation (only because it was her birthday). No frills as it's mainly take out/catering. The phone was always ringing, so that's a plus. Only four booths in the small front area. I ordered the #542 lunch special, spicy chicken with green bell pepper and garlic sauce lo mein (soft noodles). It was $6.65 and came with an egg roll. Egg roll was a little soggy in the middle but good. Large portion of lo mein was tasty--it's probably three meals for me. Big pieces of green bell pepper; I like when I can see fresh, not canned, ingredients. Since I didn't know how spicy it would be, I asked for just a bit of spiciness. I didn't get much heat, but the chili oil sauce they make available helped with that. It worked out better since I could control how much I mixed with the noodles. Very large lunch special menu. A large orange chicken, and a small egg foo young & was able too get a free crab Rangoon with my order due to the amount I spent with this restaurant. When I tell you'll I will NEVER order from this location ever again I just will not. The rice which is the main course was disgusting it had no flavor at all super bland and watery. The Orange chicken looked like black chicken I'm not sure if they cooked it too long or used a darker sauce. The Egg foo young was very bland no seasoning at all. The crab Rangoon was the only thing that I enjoyed from my entire meal it was perfect no complaints. No sweet & sour sauce packets given just soy and mustard. A waist of $40 dollars down the drain. Once again, we asked our guests where we should order our huge Christmas Eve dinner and it's always here. We always order 2 of the Dry Beef Chow Fun, House special chow mein with pan fried noodles, shrimp egg foo young, sesame chicken, orange chicken, ma po tofu, Beef and broccoli, eggrolls, sweet-and-sour chicken, beef lo mein,crab Rangoon, hot and sour soup, assorted fried rice, and if you order a bunch of stuff ($45 I'm guessing?) they give you one of the chicken dishes as a bonus for free. Considering how busy they were, our food was ready in roughly 20 minutes, everything was cooked perfectly, and not one single guest had a complaint about any of the dishes, we ordered roughly $155 some odd dollars worth of food. And considering the inflation pressures, their prices are still reasonable and portion sizes are good. We are working on our third meal of leftovers, and still enjoying it. I want to guess that this is our 11th year of our tradition, and this place has remained consistent and reliable. read more

I love this place. It was out of commission for several months due to a huge fire in the wok area and I started to go insane from lack of Chinese food. There aren't really any other good options around. Delivery is always fast and hot. I've really never been disappointed by any of their dishes. The full size portions are large, you could easily feed 2 people with each dish. The "dining area" isn't really much to talk about - just a few tiny tables. This chinese place is good for the smoothies ONLY my boyfriend and I ordered chicken fried rice, beef lo mein and pot stickers. Our food tasted good, but it was overwhelming greasy. I eat lunch here frequently and the food is always excellent! My favorite dishes are the kung pao shrimp and the shrimp kow. The vegetables are always fresh and yummy! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have a gluten sensitivity and they have modified dishes for my allergy. The service is very fast. It typically takes 5-10 minutes from the time I order until my food is ready. I'm sure the average drive-thru wait is longer! Also... You can't beat their prices, especially at lunch! read more

I have had lunch here a dozen times and had an excellent experience on all occasions. Lots on the menu to choose from, egg rolls are my favorite and they are delicious! Staff is exceptionally friendly, I like family owned businesses. Tell me how many times have you've been thru a McDonald's drive thru and received the same boring food with the wrong order? Yesterday was my first time ordering food from this place. The only reason we went there was because they sell tapioca smoothies. We walked in and the girl at the counter greeted us right away, not with a "hello" or "hi", instead she said "are you ready to order" the counter help isn't very friendly. I proceeded with my order of two smoothies and chicken fried rice. They were out of the tapioca balls for the smoothies.....bummer.....that's why we came. Love the convenience and the fact that they deliver. We did takeout on a whim. There are a few booths if you want to dine in but this is mainly takeout or delivery. I thought the food was good and reasonably priced. I got the Mongolian beef, extra hot, and they made it just like I like it...HOT. No, it's not the best I've ever had, but it was decent and they won me over by giving me the crispy rice noodles in a little bag instead of putting them under the food where they get soggy. There was enough to have crispy noodles with the leftovers. The egg rolls and pork fried rice were good as well. My husband ordered General Tso's chicken and he thought it was "okay." No, it's not our fave, House of Emperor in Naperville, but it's convenient when you get the crave for Chinese food. We will be repeat customers. read more

This place is decent. The poor reviews are a little harsh. Service was great- we ordered pick up on a Friday night- ready in 15 minutes, and workers were super nice. Chicken Lo Mein was a little too mushy and lacked flavor, but with some soy sauce it was not bad. Plus the portion was HUGE. Cashew chicken was excellent!! It was flavorful, but it is listed as "spicy", and it was mildly spicy- if you like extra spicy, you might want to request that. Crab rangoon was good (and FREE cause our order was over $20!) and the watermelon smoothie was good too. The smoothies are ice/water/fruit smoothies, NOT yogurt smoothies, so I could see how a kid might not like them, but I thought it was really good.
