You know sometimes it's just the small family restaurants that stick to there roots and make good homestyle Chinese food. It's nothing fancy, local, and surprisingly tasty made to order Chinese food. I enjoyed the Mongolian chicken. The service was nice and fast. Good place for lunch takeout.

They hired the friendliest girl at the counter! She has such a welcoming smile and overall great energy. Really enjoyed how helpful she was getting my order to me. Great work honey! Keep it up!!

This has to be the flavorless Chinese food I have tried thus far. On top of that the prices are high and they couldn't even provide with some chili sauce on the house even after spending a good amount of money at their location. Hands down the worst place I have tried around the area. Save your money. Do not recommend.

#542 lunch special. spicy chicken lo mein
    Julie T.

Due to less than stellar Yelp reviews, I've been hesitant to try this place. I begrudgingly accepted a coworker's lunch invitation (only because it was her birthday). No frills as it's mainly take out/catering. The phone was always ringing, so that's a plus. Only four booths in the small front area. I ordered the #542 lunch special, spicy chicken with green bell pepper and garlic sauce lo mein (soft noodles). It was $6.65 and came with an egg roll. Egg roll was a little soggy in the middle but good. Large portion of lo mein was tasty--it's probably three meals for me. Big pieces of green bell pepper; I like when I can see fresh, not canned, ingredients. Since I didn't know how spicy it would be, I asked for just a bit of spiciness. I didn't get much heat, but the chili oil sauce they make available helped with that. It worked out better since I could control how much I mixed with the noodles. Very large lunch special menu. I'll be back to try more.

    rice in a paper bag

Terrible! How do you mess up twice!! Im sooo pissed. $32 wasted!! I ordered a L beef fried rice 10x spicy, eggs rolls, beef teriyaki stick, & crabragoon. tellllllllll me why!!! I get the rice and it has no color..... it barely looks cooked let alone spicy. I call to ask what can be done...shorty mentioned "next time" NEXT TIME?! I ask for the manager she say the same thing!!! she gon tell me come to the restaurant with rice (but they soo scared of COVID)! bet! I def made an appearance! YALLL WHY THESE PPL TAKE THAT BLAND ASS RICE AND ADD CHILI FLAKES TO IT RATHER THAN REMAKING THAT RICE. And then... the container hot....THAT SHIT WAS COLD!! Don't waste your time!!!!! i was so looking forward to some Chinese food... SMMFH!!!

    Orange chicken

I ordered a large shrimp fried rice with added chicken. A large orange chicken, and a small egg foo young & was able too get a free crab Rangoon with my order due to the amount I spent with this restaurant. When I tell you'll I will NEVER order from this location ever again I just will not. The rice which is the main course was disgusting it had no flavor at all super bland and watery. The Orange chicken looked like black chicken I'm not sure if they cooked it too long or used a darker sauce. The Egg foo young was very bland no seasoning at all. The crab Rangoon was the only thing that I enjoyed from my entire meal it was perfect no complaints. No sweet & sour sauce packets given just soy and mustard. A waist of $40 dollars down the drain. Wish I had more pictures it was trash.

This is the "miss" that killed New China Hut for me. How do you put these in a delivery box?

Lucky Panda is one of the many restaurants in strip malls in this part of town. Has a lot of the common items. There's beef and chicken of course, as well as tofu for healthy options. A lot of customers seem to get carryout. It's got a pretty big dining room if you want to eat inside. There's also a gaming section with a few slots. As for the food it's basic. It's about $14 for an entree. Portions are kind of big though. Has some that are spicy. We got the Kung Pao Tofu. Came with quite a few pieces of tofu in it. Too bad these were kind of burnt and tough. Had a good variety of vegetables including carrots and peas. The meal was pretty okay but they didn't understand we were eating in and they made it to go, so we ate it out of the bag at a table. For sure there's many Chinese restaurants that are much better. It's located in the one strip mall on Eola. There's a few options with tofu for vegans and vegetarians.

The portion was clearly reduced but the price stayed the same. This place has always been consistent for me so the change was frustrating. I understand costs go up but smaller portions without any notice isn't great. Has anyone else noticed this or was it just a one off? I'm hoping this isn't a new trend because I've otherwise enjoyed ordering from here.

This is casual Chinese but the interior is nicer than most Chinese restaurants. We ordered crab rangoon, crispy shrimp with lemon sauce, twice cooked pork, baby bok choy with garlic, smoked tea duck, and boiled sole fish fillet in spicy Szechuan sauce. Service was good. Food came out fast. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday evening. Prices were fair for the portions. Overall about a 3.5 out of 5. -crab rangoon 5 - big pieces with a lot of filling inside. -crispy shrimp with lemon sauce 5 - this reminds me of walnut shrimp but with lemon flavor. Shrimp was crunchy. -twice cooked pork 3 - This was decent but it didn't have a lot of pork in it. A lot of vegetables but I wanted more pork. -baby bok choy with garlic 5 - vegetables were soft not soggy., -smoked tea duck 5 - pieces had a good amount of meat. I could really taste the smoky flavor. -boiled sole fish fillet 4 - not too spicy. This was a very good dish but I wished they added more fish in it.
