We stopped in for lunch on the way home from Las Vegas. The staff was courteous and hard working putting out new food and cleaning and maintaining the prepared food area. Our dishes were promptly collected as we finished. They were the best part of our experience. The selection was good with both breakfast and lunch items available like French toast and scrambled eggs, baked potatoes, steamed vegetables, fried chicken, and a vast salad bar. But we felt some items had sat out too long and seemed dried out. The fried items were the biggest hits for our family as well as their rolls. The dessert area did not really have anything that looked worth trying. read more

If I'm going to Golden corral you can definitely count me in to be there at breakfast and they started serving breakfast on Fridays so now they're serving breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am till 11am. Their prices are pretty reasonable considering that it is a buffet and it is all you can eat. (Breakfast buffet is offered on the weekends only but they still had a fair amount of breakfast items on the weekdays.) The biscuit was very fluffy and buttery as it just came from the oven. I should have gotten one more. Scrambled eggs, however, tasted like the commercial liquid eggs so add ketchup and hot sauce to taste. The fried chicken was still good as before. The coating and skin was crunchy and the meat juicy. Desserts were very fresh as I had come to the restaurant when it opened for the day. My server was very friendly and efficient. Almost all the food was cold that was supposed to be hot. Best thing was the baked potato. Restaurant was clean but bathrooms had not been cleaned from day before no paper and no paper towels. We were there 45 minutes after opening. Won't go back to that one. read more

We haven't been to Golden corral in several years so we just decided to stop in to see what we have been missing, and it was a big mistake! First of all the line was definitely longer than anticipated and the prices have increased significantly. For two people the cost was right at $55 and that was with only one drink because I had water. The ambience was average, nothing special about the decor. I will say there were some plates chipped so they should be discarded. The food was very disappointing. I asked the server what was the top requested item and she told me the steak section. When I requested the steak, it was definitely overcooked and underseasoned. There was nothing on the buffet worth going back for I don't think I'll be going back to Golden corral in the future. read more

I'm amazed how she worked the whole restaurant ; from our section to the section near the party room and a few times I caught her at the buffet area also cleaning after people serving themselves. We were two of the first few people there when it opened, and I'm unimpressed by this one. The outside and inside was clearly clean very well. The restroom (women's) was not clean, it smells and had no tissues or seat covers inside. Brooms and trash was still in the open while dining inside. Been coming here for just under a year. The staff here is always welcoming, upbeat, and extremely helpful. We had the privilege of having Heather as our server for the second time, and she's just s dynamo. Very professional yet friendly. She makes you feel at home every time. And then there's the staff at the grill. Normally I see a man cooking the steaks. But today they were understaffed and there was a young lady named Yadira working the grill, and she was running on all cylinders. She and her supporting staff were doing a fantastic job, and it needs to be recognized. The nice waitress Amanda asked if all was ok and we told her our concerns, she then summoned the manager. Marvin the manager with dreadlocks came to our table and we expressed our concerns. He then walked away by the food then kept walking . I went to get more food and the manager was behind the food counter and expressed to me the food that was cold was being handled. I am an avid reviewer and review reader, because it will give you a sense of how the location actually ranks with other restaurants Firstly, when Home town buffet was established, it was excellent and then followed Golden corral which also started out excellent. This is not a five star resturant so I am not comparing it to Chris Ruth's, but it used to be a wholesome family restaurant. I went there to eat (3rd & final time ) in hopes that the food , cleanliness and customer service had improved. Unfortunately, it failed again. The food offerings are consistently not refilled. The staff seem overworked as we had one server for both sides of the restaurant and she was also seating people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms need to be remodeled as they are unsanitary and they have a foul plumbing odor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This facility needs to be overhauled and I have loss faith and will not be returning. Buffalo chicken wings were lukewarm had a great flavor but sat under that heat for so long that it was hard. They don't really serve breakfast here. They don't open for breakfast until 830, and they start tearing down the breakfast buffet and setting up for lunch at 9am. If you arrive anytime 9am or after you will be hard pressed to get any basic breakfast items like pancakes and eggs. By 945 it's basically dinner time there and they just really don't do much for the breakfast customers at all. They should seriously do away with breakfast at this location and by that I mean they should stop telling people they even have breakfast because they don't. By 945 it's basically all dinner items and they start stripping breakfast away at 9am. Been to 3 total over the years. The only decent one was in City of Industry. No real service . Price is the price . Cleaner then the one in Bellflower. If you look at the picture , you'll see the time. I made mention to several people that the breakfast signs were still up. One asked what I meant .
