Receipt -- this is how much my smile cost.

Wednesday is definitely chicken liver day. This place almost caused me to get admitted to the ER due to a food coma. Smoked chicken and pulled BBQ goodness. If I had found these two items before getting all the other things like squash and zucchini, it would have been the only thing on my plate. Super good, tender, and tasty. When I left a person who was outside laughed and asked if it was good. He said that he could tell from the smile on my face. I am satisfied with everything at this location on the day I stopped in.

Melted ice cream

Count your days golden corral, because everyday this place is open is a literal miracle. This place got a huge problem with flies buzzing around. There is nothing special ab this place even the bread rolls are hollow, the gravy is watered down just like the drinks . And they didn't even have ice cream cones, so we had to eat it off of a hot place which melted the ice cream. They had a long line for the grill station, but it is not worth the wait, i was fighting for my life trying to eat the meat bc it was so tough. I felt like i was eating straight rubber . The waiters don't really care either. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS .

It can't be fresh when it maintains the shape of the container it was in.

Our first time at this particular location. I don't think I've eaten at a Golden Corral in at least 10 years. I had forgotten they serve breakfast. The buffet is quite long with dozens of choices to pick from. I was surprised to see that you can get lunch and dinner items at 830am. But at any rate it was a good sized buffet. The quality could of been better, but consider they have are putting everything out in bulk. Speed will trump quality. The bacon was probably the biggest victim. Not a piece was left unburnt. The eggs were obviously liquid egg. Overall, the food was average and I would come back because if you price it to Waffle House, your paying about the same amount but you get to pick more of what you want. 9-26-2017 Barfaroni. It must of been amateur hour today. We remembered why we have only been here 2x.

I used to enjoy the golden corral, but it just isn't the same anymore. This was probably my last time eating there. The food was ok, the atmosphere is not so nice anymore.

Mac n cheese and steak with chicken.

In the restaurant business, we all have a switch: once the doors open, it flips. Until then, you're seeing people exactly as they are. This team is genuine. Hands down. Yes, I know, I'm technically here for a king cake. Standing in line for a king cake from a famous fried chicken company almost feels satirical. But watching the entire team sit down together for a meal an hour before service told me everything I needed to know about the leadership and the values of this company. People matter here. You can see why the sandwiches are as good as they are. You can feel why the king cake is worth the wait. This team operates like a family; kind to one another, intentional, and connected. The food is made with care because the people are cared for. I'm not here to review the food (which is phenomenal) or the king cake. I'm here to review the brand. This is the kind of business we should be proud to support as a community. Keep it up.

It is off Veterans Blvd. It is on the right side as you are driving east. Please be on the lookout. Otherwise, you might pass it by. Tends to spring up and drive by. We almost missed it. This is a fantastic location! Kinda tight and almost missed it. Parking is very limited. If you get discouraged you cannot find a good parking spot. I believe you may park on back street? Do not hold me to that. Worst case, you can always get your order to go. It was our first time. We were curious about and not many restaurants offer fresh made pork cracklings. Usually you have to buy it at a local market or know someone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They briefly went over a few recommendations. We started with of course, order of adobo fresh pork cracklings. Adobo or traditional** crispy pork belly, adobo sauce, topped with garlic peanut rub Southerns Queso burger - 6 oz. beef patty*, pickled jalapeño, queso, beer battered onion ring with order of fries. Tender meal - Choose your spice level. 3 jumbo chicken tenders, fries, and tender sauce. (Mild) Southerns Original Chicken Sandwich - Choose your spice level. Boneless chicken thigh, Yuzu aioli, slaw, housemade pickle. (Mild) I was curious about the Phuket Sauce. So I got an order too. This tastes great! Not spicy at all. Do not let the pepper fool you. It has a little kick but not spicy at all. All are well seasoned. Few of them you can choose your spice level. We all washed down with fountain drinks. They do offer catering services and possibly call ahead ordering. Please reach out to them for options. If you are in the mood for something different but great food. Give them a try if in the area.

This is an extremely casual place, that is both a seafood market and restaurant. I chose to lunch in. The service is friendly and familiar. I felt just as welcomed as the regulars. The menu is full of tempting selections, but knew a few things I wanted. I started off with a cup of seafood gumbo. After the first bite, I regretted not getting a bowl! Next time! It was rich and flavorful, and was clearly not rushed. Next, I also tried the chicken and andouille gumbo. Also excellent, but just slightly shy of the seafood version. The main portion of the meal was what I came for: the crawfish boil. I asked for spicy, and was informed there was only "just right," and they were correct. Initially, I was surprised that the dish came out warm, but not hot, but that, too, was just right. Oh, and the price! Usually, when you see "market price," you expect to lighten your wallet a bit, but in this case, that meant $5.99 for pound. It's crawfish season, I'm told, but still.... I'm used to paying a lot more. The decor is vintage jazz festival posters. Also, since this Women's History Month, the place is women-owned

In a large shopping center. So parking is not an issue. They have plenty of parking that surrounds them. They have bunch of handicapped parking spots in the front with ramp on the right side. They do have a few steps in front for easy access. As you walk in, you are greeted by the staff. They mention that someone will be with us shortly. We went on a Sunday before it got crowded. They said we lucked out. They usually get busy when local churches get out. We quickly paid for our table and advised us we welcome to sit anywhere we like. They said they offer many discounts available. Please ask before paying. We sat at a table near the front of the restaurant and easy access to the buffet. They mainly have large tables with hard wood seats and no padding. The waitress quickly took our drink order. Started out with an Arnold Palmer. Rare that they offer that. I don't know so far that another restaurant that offers this. And an ice water. She mentioned that they offer a small selection of beer? We declined. (Drink responsibly) The first plate was sample plate to get my lay of the land. Unfortunately my first plate was full. I noticed that they offer gumbo. So I had to come back for another plate. No offense, the cup was not enough. I was surprised that they served fried swai not catfish. The cornbread was delicious! Usually they are dry at most places. Maybe they been sitting out so long they dry out. This is not the case with them. The gumbo was seasoned just right. It is only chicken and sausage gumbo. Not seafood. Usually you can tell when it is freshly made. To me, it not only look good but taste great! Unfortunately they did not have ice box cake available. Few of the reviews mentioned to definitely grab a piece. However, they did have freshly made bread pudding and chocolate delight. Both were delicious! I could go on about the food. I digress. They offer free Wi-Fi but is password protected. If you are in the area and want some good food. This place does not disappoint. In my opinion.

I went with the half oyster po-boy and gumbo combo. The sandwich turned out pretty well, with a good amount of fried oysters that were clearly cooked fresh rather than sitting for a while. Pretty good bread too. The gumbo was a disappointment though. I guess I've spent too much time on the bayou down through the years, because anytime a bowl of gumbo shows up without a scoop of potato salad in it I'm disappointed. Worse still, this gumbo was flavorless, bland and completely lacking of spice. Were it not for the dark color, I would have not been able to tell the difference between this and the sort of store-bought gumbo that comes from a can. The server kept an eye on me and my drink of choice, so props for that. Also, beware going to the restroom here, as the door doesn't seem to lock.

I came back last night really excited to have it again, but unfortunately, it just didn't live up to that first experience. My boyfriend comes all the time but this was my first visit and it was a pleasure. This time around, the portion seemed noticeably different this time around. There was a lot less shrimp, the sauce had the same Cajun flavor but was clumpy as if old and the crab cake we ordered--something we also loved on our last visit--was much smaller, but increased from $5 to $8. For a place in New Orleans, where the food scene is such a huge draw, that was pretty disappointing. That said, not everything missed the mark. Ashley, the bartender, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. Also, the gentleman opening the door was incredibly kind and welcoming. Their hospitality ended up being the highlight of the visit. I still have great memories from my first time here, but this visit just didn't hit the same. Hoping it was an off night. I spoke with the manager Kelly on the same day of service but I was not satisfied with the resolution of offering a free appetizer on my next visit when purchasing an entree. Sad to say but that was my last visit. Kelly was really nice and listened but maybe her hands are tied with how the restaurant is ran and what she can offer. I didn't need a refund or a total order replacement but something else could've been recommended. $30 is a steep price for 9 shrimp in a pasta that was clunky/lumpy and not smooth as times in the past. Maybe it was because it was a togo order but most of my orders from this business had been to go, not all but most. In all, this falls on the chef that prepared this meal and I was informed by Kelly that the chef started everything was weighed and correctly accounted for however it was the cook on the pasta and lack of shrimp.
