This use to be a gem of the westbank. Afraid that's no longer the case. Past few times the food just hasn't been on par with what it use to be. Super unassuming location. Definitely more geared towards a bar crowd. But loved the service and the amenable way everyone on the staff visited with us. Early evening weekday meal. Husband ordered the hamburger steak and I opted for the sirloin strips with sauteed onions and peppers, which I was told was one of the more often ordered items. Mine came with a side of angel hair, and husband's came with a side of mac & cheese, also made out of angel hair. Portions were ample and reasonable - $16.99 ea. I can't say I was a fan of the angel hair mac & cheese, but if you're looking for regular food quick, this is the place. We will return, and will try something different. read more

Today my mom went into Frazier's and ordered some fried chicken. The order before her was golden fried and she was excited. She received her fried chicken and went home. She didn't check the bag. Yes, she should have checked. My mom got home and the chicken was burnt. Smelled burnt and looked burnt. My mom took the chicken back and was told by the worker Frazier refused to fry additional chicken and just her the money back. He NEVER came to the front to apologize. Told the worker if he fry additional chicken it will come out the same. Frazier! Customer Service is EVERYTHING! We are the people that keep you in business! You need a lesson in customer service! Like all of you, I've been laying low the last few months and I've certainly missed sitting down and eating in a real-life restaurant. My feeble attempts at home cooking were enough to sustain me, but there comes a point when you just have to see other people and taste something that's cooked by someone who actually knows what they're doing. On one of my first restaurant adventures, I decided that I needed good fried chicken. Like, good homemade fried chicken. Anyone who knows me knows of my love of fried chicken and Frazier's Connection in Marrero is rumored to have some of the best. I knew I was going to be making a mini-celebration of my visit here, so I got a little generous with my ordering. I got ¼ chicken (breast and wing) with macaroni and cheese and, what the heck, let's throw in an order of red beans and rice for good measure. I'd be remiss if I didn't try two of the dishes that Frazier's is known for. All chicken is fried to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but I was in no rush. Out came two large pieces of chicken, mac and cheese and my full serving of red beans and rice. Right about now you might be thinking, "She can't eat all that." Look, please don't challenge me. I'm hungry. The chicken was crispy and delicious, fried to perfection with steam wafting out as soon as I tore into it. The meat was juicy and the flavor was perfect! I got the "spicy" version and I found it to be impeccable and not over-spiced in any way. The seasoning enhanced the natural flavor and taste of the chicken, which is always what you want. I never enjoy something when I taste more spice than actual food. The mac and cheese was made with "long" noodles, almost Rocky & Carlos style. The noodles were coated in delicious cheese and each bite had that ooey-gooey cheese pull that you really want in homemade mac and cheese. As someone who can only make box mac and cheese, I will never not be in awe of people who can make it so rich and creamy. The red beans and rice was unparalleled. WOW! Perfectly spiced, just like the chicken, with pieces of pork and sausage. The portion was more than generous for $6 and, if I was here any other day, this would have been more than enough for lunch. Next time you're in the mood for some good food, think local. All these people want to do is provide a good meal for the people in the neighborhood. I seriously was hoping alot of the reviews were wrong ....I love independent places. We were visiting and had some of the best seafood ever in Pass Christian and I was so hoping for the same . Ordered oyster po'boy , half onion rings , bowl of gumbo . The onion rings are incredible..massive portion with the half....reviewers had that right . The gumbo was not bad , definitely no where near the best I've had. The oysters were down right disgusting. Old and grizzle . Horrible taste ...I think they were old and then we're overcooked. This place is so damn good. Its a hidden gem in the westbank! We've ordered from here at least 3-4 times in the last month or so. A huge fan of their fried chicken and cheese burger. Their fried chicken is cook to order and with the spice seasoning, it definitely has a kick to it. I always order it w/ mac and cheese. IT IS A MUST. The mac and cheese is so creamy! Their burgers are juicy and huge. The bbq beef sandwich is delish also. The boyfriend had ordered the open face roast beef once and mention it was a bit bland. Only complaint we've had so far. Where to start? When the rest of the area has done away with the safety protocols of the pandemic. It was a relief to see that this place hasn't. It was clean, tables spaced out, nothing on them that had been touched by prior diners. Waitress's and kitchen help masked up properly: over the nose and below the chin. In an area where the numbers are once again climbing it was a blessing to see this business being responsible. Our waitress was a wonderfully patient young lady by the name of Ava, She was prompt and courteous and attentive. The condiments to include salt and pepper were in small individual containers, and the silver ware was clean and wrapped. We came for the fried chicken and we were not disappointed. Freshly fried, piping hot and steaming, the side salad fresh and crisp. This wasn't a mass produced prefabbed meal. It wasn't coated with egg and flour so thick that you couldn't get a bite of chicken. This was reminiscent of a chicken floured in a brown paper bag with seasoning well distributed. If you are old school you know what I mean. Here lately I have been so disappointed in the places around the area lacking in safety, customer service, and quality food. This place had it all. This place is exactly what you're looking for if you like very local, unique places. The real deal. The decor is a hoot. You think you've entered the wrong place. It looks like an 80's strip mall bar, with all it's charm. That said, it is clean and so are the bathrooms. The staff is friendly and quick. It's good for groups but you also get the feeling it's a good place to eat if you're on the down-low too :) I had the oyster po-boy (it was good), but REALLY regret not getting the daily special, Shrimp Ettouffee. for $9.99. This place was amazing. Decor is very 80s. But the food is amazing! Among the four of us, we had their 1/4 of spicy fried chicken, the crawfish etouffee, tuna po'boy, and BBQ roast beef po'boy. We were all thrilled with the food! It was a lot of food. The mac and cheese was great, 3 of us got it and we all agreed it was good. The fried chicken was spicier then I was expecting, but still good. The tuna po'boy was really good, the person who got it said that it was like an egg salad sandwich plus tuna, he loved it! The etouffee looked amazing and was also good. Wasn't too spicy for the person eating it. She also got fried fish with is and said it was spiced to perfection. Over all, very good. Ashame too because that was the best. They have good local types of food for the tourist going to do a swamp tour. Smothered rabbit, white beans, red beans, seafood dishes. I think I am becoming obsessed with fried chicken. My new goal is to start trying different fried chicken spots in Nola and I have started with this place. This place is on point! I've never eaten inside , have always gotten to go but everyone is always friendly over the phone. Their chicken has so much flavor and is just so fresh! For sides I have tried the macaroni and cheese and then the onion rings! Def a must have! If you are looking for a new chicken place rather than going to chains you should def give this place a try! Looking for somewhere to eat after the swamp tour? We were starving after taking in the Jean Lafitte swamp tour. We asked our guide for a local's recommendation and were directed to this restaurant. The restaurant is in an older, unassuming building that might lead you to second guess your decision to try. Behind the burglar bared doors you will find old diner decor right down to the vinyl tablecloths. We were glad we stayed though. Good service, decent food, and decent prices. Me and my wife hopped in here on our way to church and we asked the staff how long the food takes and they were so kind and gave us some great suggestions. I won't be wasting my money here again. They misrepresented their food and after two tries the food was very disappointing. I hate giving bad reviews, but I'd hate more for people to be disappointed like I was. First time I had the roast beef, very disappointing. I specifically asked if it was real roasted beef or the deli cut roast beef. I was told it was actual roast and not the deli slices and that it was cooked and prepared there. Not even close. Omg if you like fried foods come here. The chicken is extraordinary. Spicy but not overly spicy and the skin is crisp and crunchy. It took about twenty minutes to come out so you know it's fresh out the frier. The mac and cheese was also the bomb. They use these spaghetti noodles which I enjoyed and twits was nice and thick which is how I like my mac n cheese. The place itself looks like someone's living room straight out the 80s. My family had to leave because half of the place was taken over by one group of people. On the upside, their Mac n' cheese tastes awesome. Update. We went back on 12/2/2015 and had a rude awakening. When the waitress came out to us at the end of our meal and asked if we needed a couple of boxes for our leftovers. We said yes and then we got our bill. Guess what? They charge .25 a box. Stumbled upon this place accidentally. Biggest and best surprise of the trip. Shrimp Po' Boy is the best I've ever had (eaten 25 different ones). Service is incredible 10/10. Portions are big. Amazing sweet tea. And to top it off, the bread pudding is incredible but you only need 1 for 3 people. Very big.
