Right now it was ribs and wings. If you are not too picky about rib moisture, then all you can eat ribs will be right up your alley. All you can eat wings is always a win. They only have 3 flavors (hot, bbq of sorts, lemon pepper of sorts). Besides the specialties, you will always have steak, extensive salad bar, fish (baked and fried), multiple sides and multiple desserts. This particular location has an Icee machine with 3 flavors. It is Golden Corral, nothing more, nothing less. You get someone refilling drinks and removing plates in a pretty spacious and chill environment. I went yesterday at 3:27 December 23, 2025 which is the best time to get senior discount a take advantage of dinner item till 4:00 .They gave me the $11.95 senior price but charged me for my ice tea that should have been free and was told because I did not get there until 3:27 which is the time designated on their website! Not 4:00 as listed on their web site. It wasn't about the charge for the tea. I left my server $3.00 tip! It was the principal of the thing and being talked to me like I was slow or too old to understand the rule they broke. I recently went there on a Saturday. It was super crowded but everything went well the lady who waited on our table, was Amazing.

Overall good experience. The lady gave me the wrong drink on a refill, but that's nothing! They charge more at night and on weekends so be prepared. No matter how much you can eat, you will not put in a dent in their business. It's really UNLIMITED food!! The ice cream was the only thing I couldn't finish.. it just had no taste to it. I am from Lufkin but live in Houston now. I will not eat at any other Golden Corral other than the one in Lufkin. Their food is southern comfort food and always fresh. My grandparents are in their late 80's and they go in there almost every day and are treated as family. This place is amazing. read more

America's best Golden Corral in all it's franchise. We have been to many Golden Corral Buffets and the one in Lufkin, TX is the best! The visits there have been numerous over the years and the quality is consistent. The manager is usually visible working the grill, greeting the diners, carrying plates or glasses when needed and always checking for quality. It is very clean and they have kept their end of the bargain with the Covid restrictions that are in place. Best of all, we love the food that is offered. read more

The sirloin ,fries ,chicken tenders,fish and shrimp and the cheesy Smokey potatoes were amazing what I didn't like was the cocktail sauce and macronie and cheese and rice also the pizza was still dougy.when I wanted some a1 sauce I waited for the waitress for over 5minutes. After I failed to catch her attention I got my self up and got me some al sauce and tobasico. When my cup was emptied the waitress was flirting with another worker and I kept trying to get her attention and failed again if it wasn't for the new guest that arrived she rushed over and then got me a refill. Ice cream lady was nice .like awesomely nice. I got my fat self 2 bowls of ice cream and a seconds with. Out her not rushing over . They didn't have the ribs that were advertised . I generally go to a Golden Coral expecting edible food on the pricier side. Key word, edible, it will keep me alive, but if I were stuck in the Amazon, I'd probably go on ahead and hunt the local wildlife and eat it raw. This Golden Coral surprised me greatly. The food on the day we went was absolutely amazing. It reminded me of family home cooking. The food was perfectly seasoned and I regret the fact that I only ate enough to feed one army and not two. The wait staff were all friendly and our waitress was very responsive and quick. She was friendly and was always actively looking out for our needs even when we didn't know it was a need. I would definitely go back and if you've not gone, you are missing out on some very good food. read more

Stopped in on the way home from Lufkin to Humble. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, food options were plentiful. Food was good and fresh. Bathroom (men's) was clean and kept up. Met the regional manager, super nice guy. We'll be back on our way back to Lufkin when we return. read more

My husband and i had dinner just after 4 o'clock and the restaurant hadn't got too busy with the dinner crowd yet. The buffet was fresh and well stocked with food. I had a perfect medium rare steak and some fried shrino. The vegetables weren't over cooked like what usually happens at most buffets. The desert bar was also well stocked with tasty and eye appealing pies, cakes, cookies, cobblers and multiple items to dip in the chocolate fountain. I'm not sure anyone should be allowed to eat at this place. I sat at my table and a roach crawled across the table. It's not hard to cook a heat and eat style meal, but keeping clean is a must. I took a photo of the roach as it crawled down the wooden pillar, we sat in front of the desert bar. I would be cautious of eating here, you might just get sick. On a side note, I have been asked to verify this "supposed roach". Since that person has seen the roach in picture form, I felt obliged to share it with everyone here as well. Food quality was good, flavored nicely with ample selection. First impression walking was not as favorable due to dirty appearance of entryway. Cashier both is cramped and not inviting. Dining rooms need a serious cleansing. Tables were clean however touch surfaces need attention,ie chair backs, napkin boxes and floors. This place has a free buffet for veterans on veterans' day but they require no identification for Veterans' Day. It looks like there is a line twice around the building on this day. It is good they provide a thank you for Vets but I am guessing about l/3 of those people standing in line are NOT vets. On Vet's Day for us, its another restaurant for sure. read more

We went for the Thanksgiving Day Buffet and it was wonderful!!!! The staff were amazing, the food was hot & tasted great, and the place was clean!!!! It was busy, but not in a bad way. You could tell that the management and staff had it all very well organized. I had not one complaint. $68 + generous tip for 4 adults was totally worth it. My Husband and I decided to go out for dinner this evening and we had decided to go to another restaurant here in Lufkin. I said to my husband, " remember how good the food was at Golden Coral when we were there a few days ago?" He answered yes and said let's go there again. I love fried chicken, and especially right out of the fryer. My husband loves steak and shrimp. They keep the food trays filled with fresh hot food and rolls. My first plate was full of fresh fruit and cottage cheese. Mmmm so cold and good. Then I headed straight for the fried chicken. Delicious !! I just love having so much to choose from.
