I just had a pedicure here and I'm really happy with it. The place is clean and just feels calm and easy to relax in. The chairs are super comfortable -- I sat there for almost two hours and my back didn't bother me at all, which I really appreciated. Iryna did such a great job -- gentle, careful, and really pays attention to details. I got a gel pedicure in a deep red color and I love it, it looks so gorgeous. The location is convenient and parking was easy, which is always a plus. This is probably the best pedicure I've had in the last 5 years in Houston. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The nail tech did not communicate at all -- no suggestions, no design ideas, no effort to understand what I wanted. I left with a very plain, unattractive set, and the shape was honestly awful. I was so upset that I left in tears. I called back immediately and explained that I truly did not like the nails. Instead of listening to me as the client, the owner insisted they were "beautiful" and said I could ask anyone if they looked pretty. But that's not the point -- I am the client, and I didn't like them. I asked for the nails to be removed, and the owner refused, repeatedly telling me I should just keep them. She only refunded $40 out of the $140 I paid. On top of that, the shop itself was not well kept, and the location and overall atmosphere did not feel professional. read more

Golden Gel? More Like Dusty Disappointment. Golden Gel Russian Nails: Don't let the "Russian" technique fool you, this was painful and overpriced. I had heard a lot of hype about the "Russian Manicure" method and booked an appointment at Golden Gel hoping for the super-clean, long-lasting look. What I got was a painful, rushed, and wildly expensive disaster. My appointment started 15 minutes late, and the technician immediately launched into an aggressive, nearly painful cuticle drilling process. It was clear she was rushing to make up for the late start. I had to pull my hand away twice because the electric file felt like it was burning my skin. When I mentioned the pain, I was just told, "It's supposed to be thorough." I ended up leaving with two bleeding cuticles. The application of the "Golden Gel" was sloppy. The final color was uneven and applied too close to the skin, and within two days, I had already developed a massive chip on my index finger. For a manicure that specializes in long-lasting structure, this is totally unacceptable. The technician also spent the whole time texting on her personal phone while doing my nails, making the service feel unprofessional and rushed. The Final Charge The absolute worst part was the price. The base price was already high, but they hit me with several unexpected charges: an extra $10 for "hard gel structuring" (which was never discussed) and a random fee for their standard base coat. When I questioned the final total, the technician became defensive and extremely rude, acting like I was wasting her time. I paid nearly $120 for nails that lasted less than 48 hours. This place is all style and zero substance. If you want painful cuticles and chipped nails, pay less somewhere else. Stay far away from Golden Gel. read more
