Not only was the price of the lunch buffet well over priced, they charged me an additional $5 for letting my 3yr old share a plate with me. The waitress was rude, the service was slow and the place was on the dirty side. Today was my third and last trip to this restaurant. My friend and I had the lunch buffet. The food was decent but not outstanding. Some of the items had not been replenished (we were there at noon). There is very hot steam coming from some of the buffet items and there is no warning that you could burn yourself until it happens. When we eat out, I take a little baggie and put a bite of something in it to take as a treat for our dog. When the waitress brought the bill, we were charged for three meals rather than two. When we asked why, the very embarrassed waitress said that someone saw me putting food in my purse. It was a TINY little piece of fried fish, for Pete's sake. As we were walking out, we saw plates waiting to be cleared that had lots of food sitting there waiting to be thrown away. Went to Golden Imperial for dinner Sunday ..got there at 4:56..buffet starts at 5:00..cashier sat us at table, he brought our beverages..we waited until it was ok to go to buffet.At no time did we ever have a server. I watched several waiters and one waitress take care of other tables, refill beverages, take away dirty plates, etc. It became amusing to me. Then someone by the name of Tyler brought us a bill..I asked what that was for as we never had a server. Nobody ever checked to see if we wanted more tea or water. He said " it was not his problem"..and he had looked over and it looked like we needed nothing. Guess all of the other guests who had their glasses refilled needed nothing either but had servers. He was very rude and arrogant.So now they want a tip? Really? There is bad service and there is no service and nobody wanting to be accountable for the lack of service. Desserts never were put out til after 5:30... not that it mattered...they probably assumed nobody looked like they wanted or needed anything. We stopped in actually by accident. It is located behind Spec's Liquor in Brenham. First let me say that the sushi is handmade right before your eyes and is FRESH and DELICIOUS !!! They have great service and many items to choose from. The fruit tarts on the dessert tray are incredible. This place is a little tricky to get to but worth the stop. We have gone back three or four times, each time was well worth it. After many trips there and them remaining consistent with food and service we give them a well deserved 5 STAR review !!! read more

The restaurant is beautiful,and the food is ok. But the experience I had there today makes me question if I will go back. My husband had the buffet, and I had a big bowl of soup. I asked the waitress if it was ok to go get some green onions for the soup, and she said yes, she even offered to get them.But I got them. Later she told me she had been corrected and that I should not have been able to get those. I told her I would pay for them, if that was necessary, Afterall, I could have just let my husband bring it to me when he went to the buffet. Worst place ever. Wish i can give them no syars. I wanted to take my family visiting to the restaurant bc I had tried their food early as take out and it was pretty good. We got there at 8:10pm, and since its a buffet and a weekday sometimes food can get runout, I understand that. So I asked the host r u guys still offering the buffet, if not we can order from menu, she said no we start REFILLING at 8:30pm. I said OK, we sat down and immediately went to get food. There was nothing in the trays. Just pieces of veggies n nuts. No chicken or need. Rice looked so dry and no lo mein. I asked the manager r u guys going to refill again. She said yes, let me tell them in the kitchen. 5 mins later she came to ask is there anything I want particularly...... I said well I don't know what u offer in the buffet and I can't choose BC nothing is there. Waste of money. After I ordered shrimp fried rice to go(which had to much salt). My husband was eating Tso chicken and he found hair baked in the chicken..ewwwww. We immediately got up after asked to talk to the manager n went to pay. I told the manager(who had a Attitude) that I wanna pay my bill fully but very disappointed with the food and disgusted by the hair in my food. Instead of apologizing she just argued more that she asked if there was something particular I wanted, but I told her even when I told u food was not filled, so what was the point.
