    Salty Combo Fried Rice

Fried rice is amazing, usually but this last order was worst. I was wondering if there was a different cook in house of something. Everything was extra salty, our entire order, all $99.75 worth. My ordering didn't have the extra item that I requested, egg rolls were undercooked and again, everything was extra salty ...fried rice seemed like it was cooked in gallons of soy sauce. Oh and ordered two large soups ...had to pay extra for the soups wontons. They only provide one bags per soup, regardless what size you order which' is ridiculous. The cost is nominal however, how are you gonna give me the same quantity for large that you give me for a small... again ridiculous!

Anyone feeling under the weather? Flu like symptoms or congestion. Try the chicken noodle soup from Golden Pavilion in Bowie, Maryland. I got the take out version today. I call this my "Chinese Penicillin" soup. Loaded with white meat chicken, noodles and scallion. Broth is not loaded with sodium or MSG. This soup is a winter staple in my house. Phoned in my order and it was ready in ten minutes.

Waited awhile to be seated even though there's a guy behind the counter who wouldn't look our way. A waitress finally emerged from the back to seat us. Place is cozy and great for families.

I have to give a nod to Golden Pavilion for their food and service. I went with a large group and all of our dishes came out looking great! I ordered the Ikageso Karaage for something different and it hit the spot; Not overdone yet a great crunch on the outside. My entree was orange beef. It seemed a bit heavy on the batter but I found beef in every bite, it was cooked perfectly, and was well flavored. Some times large groups can be a challenge but every dish that was brought to our table looked amazing and the service was attentive and friendly.

Good food here! Ordered take out for lunch. Shrimp egg foo yung, general tso chicken, shrimp fried rice. The shrimp dishes were very good! General tso tasted more bbq like, so we didn't like that dish. All 3 dishes were cooked fresh, rice was soft and moist (like it should be) and the spring roll was good too. Now I don't eat spring rolls because they are usually hard and dry. But NOT these!! Soft, moist contents, good flavor. This is actually a restaurant (not a carryout). Entrance, waiting area, and bar were very clean. Seating appeared comfortable (I didn't sit). Staff was pleasant and welcoming. There were a few customers at the tables eating also. We will be back for other menu items and to dine in for the ambience.

I've ordered pick up once and dined in once. My review will focus mostly on the dining in experience. We ordered three entrees, Pork Chow Fun, General Tsos Chicken and Whole Duck. The duck was absolutely delicious and the serving size was quite substantial. General Tsos was only okay, it was quite unamusing, nothing special to discuss. Chow Fun was quite good when we ordered it for take out, but for this dining experience, we had to ask to re-cook it twice, as the noodles were still raw. The duck definitely saved this review from being a 2. I think we will come back another time to give it another shot and to try different entrees on top of the duck.

I have ordered take out from this restaurant twice. The first time I ordered I got Fried Chicken…read moreWings, Chicken Hunan Style, White Rice, and Lo Mein. Since this location is further away, I reheated the wings in the oven and they were deliciously crispy. The Lo Mein wasn't the exact style I had hoped for and the Hunan Chicken was decent but I could tell the veggies weren't fresh. I enjoyed the meal for the most part and thought I had finally located my carry out spot. The second time I ordered I got one Fried Chicken with Fried rice (pictured) and an extra order of just Fried Chicken, Broccoli with Garlic sauce and a side of white rice. I was disappointed by the presentation of the fried rice, and it didn't taste better than it looked. The broccoli's sauce looked watery and when we tasted it, it was not what we expected. Even after reheating it was not pleasant. I was going to still eat the food, so I dumped out some rice on my plate and BOOM, a black hair in the middle of the rice. The rice was compacted in the box so the rice was either packed into there or cooked in. I was disgusted, and ended up only eating a wing or two. I was so disappointed because I had a better experience my first time ordering. The wings were the only reason I was able to give this location more than one star.

Found this place after walking around UMD and looking for a local spot to eat. Saw the reviews…read morehere and went with my mother. I will admit I was skeptical when I drove up to park in another hellish mixed use development. It screamed chain and average from the outside, inside...well I was wrong. Nice decor although with a lot of QR codes scaring me (after wrestling for 8 minutes with QR code parking in back) that I might have to order that way too. Again not. We were immediately seated, super friendly server, the menu was super exciting. Authentic Szechuan dishes and some American Chinese, I wanted a lot! Had some great crab/pork soup dumplings, terrific garlic sauce eggplant, and a standout recommended ghost pepper spicy beef dish with celery, snow pea, peppers. Mom got a shrimp lo me-in. A lot of food brought home. Similar with the couple next to us. Hot pots on the menu, whole fish, so much to try. Flavors great, but especially nice service that made a place that felt like a QR card laden chain a lot more like a homey cozy place.

Love their soup dumplings. I ask for chili sauce and use a generous portion with each bite. I…read moresuggest eating the entire dumpling in ONE bite. Soo flavorful. Try to eat it before it gets cold tho and pick it up carefully without breaking the dumpling. I use my hands so I can control the pull from the stickiness of the dumpling to the paper it comes on. The other dishes we ordered were chicken lo mein, crispy chicken, wontons, eggplant with garlic and basil, and spareribs. They were good but, the soup dumplings brought me back the same week! The service was good, friendly. What I didn't like that could easily be fixed was since the ceilings are high, the sounds echo or seem really loud and distracting. Staff is probably used to it and probably does not realize how loud all the sounds are to customers. When they clear the dishes at table side, for me it takes me to a loud cafeteria feel instead of nice dinner or lunch. I would suggest to them being mindful of all unpleasant sounds and stacking the dishes on the cart as quietly and quickly as possible, but cleaning them in the back out of site of current diners. I also think more rice at table side. The portions of rice for me is too small. A more heaping bowl would be nice. However, the meal portions are decent. Here for the second time in a week tho! Food was yummy! I was immediately annoyed with the loud clearing of dishes. I wish I could give it a one star for that alone. The acoustics are not good but that would be unfair to do that and unfair to the workers and chef. Definitely, give this place a try!
