This is one of the best Chinese food restaurants I have ever eaten at. The foo d is OUTSTANDING, and the service is excellent. Judy and Kendrich are really nice, friendly people and they do a great job. I have tried almost every item on their lunch menu as well as several items from the dinner menu, all of which I can whole heartly recommend. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant and service. I go at least once a week and the quality is excellent every time. It was sad to see the SomeplacElse Saloon fail after such a short run but what took its place is oh so much better in so many ways! The new owners did a magnificent job remodeling the place, they completely gutted the bar and dining area transforming it from the remnants of the old funky Jigger Junction that many of us have been going to since the 70s into a beautiful new family restaurant with scrumptious chinesefood and a very warm atmosphere. I have returned twice since the grand opening and am happy to say each visit was as satisfying as the first! read more

We are super happy to have a decent Chinese restaurant in the Conifer/Pine Crossing area. Atmosphere - Pleasant. Fairly standard. They usually are only half full at most, and so getting a seat isn't a problem. Service - Great. We have gotten to know some of the wait staff and they are extremely friendly and have no problem with special requests. Food - Most of the dishes are on the sweet side. Far too sweet for me. But, the menu is large enough that you can find options for everyone. My sons love the sesame or orange chicken (because they are sweet). I tried several dishes before finding the Hong Kong Noodles, which are amazing. They are the best I've ever had. We have taken vegetarian friends there who were able to easy find great food. And, they are willing to adjust food to get around allergies. Price - Expect to pay $15 per person. read more

Imagine ordering a sweet and sour combination and not getting sweet and sour sauce it was too late to go back since they closed.

Just moved to the area and was happy to see something outside of the ordinary for food. The food is great and fresh which usually isn't the norm in American Chinese food. All I'm saying is don't be shy with the heat, Judy! A little extra spice never hurt nobody. read more

First time trying the place. For your typical run-of-the-mill Chinese-American food, this place is subpar. Pork fried rice is bland and had ZERO veggies in it, steak and chicken skewers were bland, crab cheese wontons were not that great. If they can't get the basics to taste good, not gonna waste my money to see if their entrees are any better. Disappointed. Won't be going back. I counted TWO scallion slices, and ZERO regular onions. read more

Well, the community didn't lie when they said Golden Pine was an excellent new local choice for dinner. I don't live that close to the restaurant, but I made the 30 minute journey hoping to not be disappointed. Oh My Gosh! The service was fast, it came with multiple smiles, and the food was excellent! Yummy, fast, and friendly! Shockingly enough there are 3 Chinese food places in our area and this is my favorite. The owners are super cute and friendly and the food is great too! Not to mention the massive work they put into this building making it a cozy and trendy spot. They opened during the height of COVID so it's been pick up only. Loved my Cashew Chicken! Loaded with fresh veggies and cashews in addition to yummy chicken that was trimmed very well. The owners stand behind their food and the customer service is outstanding. I had experienced an issue with a prior food order and Judy was happy to fix the problem immediately. Wonderful! From the first greeting till check out the experience was wonderful. The owners and staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious. Egg rolls were crisp outside with a little crunch inside. The shrimp fried rice had real full size shrimp in it, delicious! I got takeout here during the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I'm happy there is another Chinese restaurant in the area because I have not heard good things about the one in Bailey. The food was prepared quickly and was tasty. My only complaint and also why I didn't give five stars was that my General Tso's Chicken was a little on the bland side as was my friend's Szechuan chicken. I can't wait to go have a sit down meal there once Covid-19 is over. Staff was friendly and polite. read more
