    Dry dim sum :(
    Susie T.

This place let me dog in. That was a plus. They had pretty good service. I really wanted to give it more stars, but the food didn't taste good. Everything I had did not taste fresh. From the shu mai to my chive dumpling to the banana leaf rice wrap. The rice was dry, the won ton wrap was dry. Nothing tasted juicy. My porridge was alright. Maybe I came on a bad day. It's also quite expensive. I'm not quite sure how they price each group but I ordered about 13 items in group A and maybe 2 other items in group D or E. A special item I suppose. My bill was 156$ with tip included.

Super Star is definitely a better experience than Star Kitchen! I would go here again and enjoy another afternoon of dim sum and treats! They seated us quickly as a party of 4 and we were also served pretty immediately upon being seated! Loved the jasmine tea, of course! My absolute favorite dish and what I would totally recommend was the salt and pepper tofu! Hot tip: make sure it's freshly heated or have them heat it for you! The tofu will melt in your mouth! It's soooo tasty! Also, really enjoyed their soup dumplings, shumai, taro puffs, sesame red bean balls, sugar cane shrimp, bao, and shrimp dumplings. We had lotus leaf rice and I wasn't personally too crazy for it. The sausage was a bit too sweet inside. But, if you're a sweet sausage lover, this could be for you! Overall, it was a fun experience... especially with friends, because we could split more and try more together! The service was fast-paced and we ended up paying about $20pp and walking out super full!

There's this awesome little spot in Excelsior that you should definitely check out. There's a bunch of Filipino options, but also Chinese. It's certainly a local, hole in the wall restaurant. You can get full meals without spending much! Most of the meals on the menu are priced between $5-7, only recently going up. Keep in mind that they only do takeout and they only accept cash! I opted for a super popular Filipino meal, Tapsilog. I also decided to try their pork chop, which seemed to be the go-to option for many people. All the meals come with a fried egg, tomatoes, and garlic fried rice, which will certainly fill you. The pork chop was covered in a crazy amount of deep-fried goodness. The jumbo fried chicken was my favorite. So much food and so tasty. Definitely give this place a shot if you're around the area.

Average food and freshness, but might be the best you can get in the Denver area, and it scratches the Asian food itch. Okay service. Traditional dim sum feels with dim sum cart The food was not as fresh as we would like in the shrimp dumplings and rice noodles. The soy sauce in the shrimp rice noodle is saltier than normal. The chicken feet is overdone Okay service. You get what you need if you wave the waiters / waitress down This place has the dim sum cart that waitresses push around for you to select food, so the dining experience feels homey.

There does need to be more staff. It was crazy to see one person doing both to go orders and taking people to their seat, one person cleaning and refilling drinks and getting utensils, one person getting orders from the kitchen and essentially being the second hand for every job position. Staff does get angry and it does make the customer feel uncomfortable to hear their arguments and even more uncomfortable when you can understand them. Service needs to improve especially there should be more staff on the weekends at the very least.

This was my first experience at a dim sum place. I wish there was a little more explanation for what to order/ take off the carts because I had no clue! Thankfully, there was a nice gentleman sitting next to us who helped us and told us what to order. I thought we'd be able to order specific items but he said it's best to do the dim sum items that come out on the carts. Everything we got was very tasty and now I know what to expect for next time!

This place is great. Never as packed as star kitchen. I like the dumplings they seem fresher. They don't have as many options to start kitchen. It takes awhile for the 2-3 carts to come around. Overall service & food is great easy parking!!

I took a large group of friends here today. I think we were 22 people. The staff sat us and handled our large group extremely well. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, hot and amazing. The selections are numerous and the ordering process is simple. I think our bill was nearly 600 dollars and that seemed extremely reasonable for so many people. I highly recommend this place and will certainly stop in again.

Do they serve dim sum at dinner, or just during lunch?

Have been eating dim sum for decades, never eaten it for dinner. I suggest you call them first, they may be the first.

The pork and mushroom dumplings were rich and deeply savory, but the real standout was the chicken and corn, absolutely packed with flavor and perfectly executed. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice, which exceeded expectations. It featured plentiful, full-sized shrimp and a generous portion size that makes it incredibly easy to share. Between the excellent food and the lively atmosphere, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu.

With these changes and addition, it certainly moved up from my pecking order of favorite local Chinese restaurants.
