    Spicy basil noodles with tofu
    Mary H.

Food entrees from Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Very busy spot. The word must be out that the food is really good here. Nicely decorated contemporary Asian interior. Lots of soft lighting, very cozy. It's a small restaurant with seating for parties up to 6. I had the spicy basil noodles with fried tofu. Lots of veggies with a kick of heat at the end. One person in our group ordered the Lard Nar because he has never seen this on a menu before. Lots of veggies and tofu in a soup type broth with hints of barbecue flavor. Another person ordered the Larb tofu. Similar to a chicken salad only with tofu and rice. The portions were large. This is a family owned and run restaurant definitely worth supporting. You won't be disappointed.

    Pad Thai 3 star

Came in for a quick dinner. I ordered the Pad Thai with a heat level of 3 stars. It was pretty spicy for 3 stars but not unmanageable. The texture of the noodle was great. It first came out al dente but as you continued to eat the noodles developed to a texture I really enjoy with rice noodles. Service was a little on the slower end but there was only 1 person working the front. They were constantly going around seating people, taking ordered, delivering food/drink, and cashing people out.

Big flavors from a small place. Super pleased with our Spicy Basil main dish -- which, fair warning, packs a good amount of heat -- as well as our Mee Katee, a curry based dish which acted nicely to minimize the heat. Dishes came out hot and steamy and service was great, our water refilled often, and the small space was cozy yet airy. I would eat here again

Had the lunch special on Thursday and got half fried rice and half noodles for my side and also got the curry which was delicious!

The only reason I went to this place was because it was one of the only places in Friday Harbor that was open at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday evening. Luckily, it wasn't all that bad! I ordered a double plate of Pad Thai (rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg and peanuts with tamarind sauce). It was alright! I can make a pretty mean Pad Thai and I've eaten some out-of-this-world stuff before so this version didn't quite deliver the punch I was hoping for. A little too sweet for my liking but nonetheless it was still good and I ate every single bite. The serving was generous, and the ingredients were fresh. Paired with a couple of beers and my dinner was delightful!

Was in Friday Harbor for a few days and was desperately craving something soupy for a cool wet day. We stumbled upon this Thai restaurant and was a bit suspicious of a Thai restaurant in a tourist town such as this. We were immediately greeted and seated in the cozy restaurant towards the closing time. Ordered the spicy basil stir fried noodles and a large bowl of wonton soup. They came out promptly and were both delicious. The noodles were bright and fresh and also spicy--but not too spicy. It was filled with veggies not sauce. There was something about the wonton soup broth that was so tasty. Maybe some spice that I couldn't put my finger on. It was simple. It was delicious.

Combo with Chicken Satay, fried rice and fried chicken.

The portions are huge if your hungry it's a great place to grab some food. The quality is just ok. They cater more to locals which is fine. If your hungry and on a budget go. If you want great Thai food pass.

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

Outside may look very basic but indoors has comfy seats and an open feel. Recommend the Udon Bowl--try it at spice level 1 even if you normally opt for 0 spiciness (it's a sweet-spicy) and choose bulgogi beef if you like a smoky leaner meat or the pork belly if you're craving more of a rich fattiness. Also check the drinks fridge as you walk in--they have some choices you may not see on the menu such as Mexican Coke.

TLDR: Me and my partner got food poisoning from the chicken sandwich and had to call multiple times…read moreover the course of two weeks to get a partial refund from the owner. Me and a group of friends (8 total) were visiting the Olympic peninsula for a camping/backpacking weekend and stopped by Midtown on a busy Friday night and were quickly seated. The food tasted good and we had great service during our visit. Since we were a large group, and already had shared expenses for the weekend, when asked about the check we offered to put everything on one tab to save time. Later on that night however, after we had set up our tents at our campground, my partner began to experience intense stomach pains which turned into full blown food poisoning. I spent the next several hours helping them, before I also got sick. It was at this point we realized that it was from the chicken sandwich my partner had ordered at Midtown, since I had eaten her last remaining bites of the sandwich and this was the only food we shared that other members of our group had not also eaten (we all shared food at lunch earlier in the day). My partner and I essentially spent the night in the campground bathroom (we are extremely lucky they had one). The next morning we were feeling depleted, dehydrated, and decided to head home to recover while the rest of the group continued on the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get food down. I called Midtown the next business day and let them know what happened for their awareness mostly. They thanked me and told me their policy is a full refund if something like this happens and that the group should expect it soon. We didn't hear from them or get notification of a refund so we reached out a week later and they said they forgot and now the owner would only provide a refund for me and my partner's meals and that they never offered a full refund. They said since we had "12 people" on the ticket they wouldn't do it (our tab for 8 people was $186 before tax and tip) but if we had a doctor's note that could change things. I promised them we weren't making it all up and that I've never gotten food poisoning from a restaurant or even left a bad review before! Tired of the gas lighting I decided it wasn't worth arguing and let them know this will have to be my first. It's a shame their management is unprofessional because our experience in the restaurant with the food and staff was nice.

The server (owner?) didn't stop by for the obligatory check-in. I didn't get up from the table to initiate. I did have to leave the table to retrieve a to-go container and seeing this, the server (owner?) began laughing, but didn't get up from her seat. There were two other tables in the restaurant. I slid my credit card to the table's edge and waited an agonizing minute before holding the card up and telling her I was ready. Again, she laughed. She brought me only the merchant copy of the receipt which I signed and indicated zero gratuity. I wrote a note: "Meal arrived cold. Three small shrimp in the dish. Server did not ask if everything was okay." AS I WAS RISING FROM THE TABLE, she came over, grabbed the receipt and began reading it, laughing very loudly as I bolted for the door. On my way out, a group of four adults and three children from Florida were about to come in and I told them to be sure their food arrives hot, because mine sure didn't, and they said they were not going to take the chance and would try someplace else. I haven't left a review in years. But people should be careful about choosing to eat here.
