I have been here 2 times and maybe I'm just not ordering the right things. I have gotten pastries and drinks and I fear that I'm missing something for this to be typically rated so high. The drinks are just okay and the pastries are as well! I also think the vibe of the place is so strange, there's nothing 'ole' esk at all. HOWEVER I find the service to be awesome. I believe that's what sets this place apart. Will be back for real food.

Cafe Ole is a great place to stop by for a cup of coffee or fancy tea and a snack. But who knew how great their full service menu is! First truly beautiful day in a while my friend's son and I met for brunch at Cafe Ole - sitting outside and soaking up the sun. We both had the deliciously prepared American Omelet. The peppers were fresh and roasted - potatoes crispy, croissant chocolate-y. As an added bonus my friend's son is an EMT and I learned from him they give free coffee and teas to these guys for their service. Love that! Spend a relaxing afternoon here - it's a perfect local place with a varied menu very well prepared!

Super adorable spot here in the city! We stopped by for a quick bite and the service was so kind and fast. We loved the decor and lively interior. Soup was also incredible!! We will definitely be back, thank you very much :)!!

Pretty decent breakfast spot. The pancakes were good, the bagel was decent (didn't taste fresh baked though), and I was happy to see they offered fruit to go along with all of the heavy breakfast foods.

We loved this little coffee Such a cute spot! We absolutely loved Café Ole -- the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was great. I had the birria quesadilla and it was so good -- perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We also tried one of their refreshers, which was super refreshing and hit the spot. Loved the chill vibes, good music, and the friendly energy here. Definitely a place I'd come back to next time I'm in Philly!

Quick service- we got the mediterranean platter and a chicken salad platter. Both were really yummy and fresh! Very kind employee and clean shop. It was poppin!

A great place to have a shakshuka! I usually get the regular but apparently the one over hummus is another variation to try according to my man. He usually gets the Moroccan style with the green olives and chicken m. I love the olives. I need to try the tuna sandwich but I keep ending up with the shakshuka when we eat in. The Nutella puff was delicious too. And normally I get a cafe au lait or latte when I'm in the mood

We really loved the food and service here. The staff was really friendly and helpful explaining the various options they've got for both food and drinks. They have a lot to choose from. The hummus veggie shakshuka was enormous and quite good. I think two people might be able to split an order, but this time we each ordered our own and walked away with leftovers. Their coffee was delicious and I really enjoyed my latte here. Lots of the other customers came in for coffee and other drinks, including some iced teas with fresh mint that looked quite nice. The restaurant has a cozy, loyal-local type vibe and is definitely worth a return visit,

We came to visit Philadelphia and friend of ours recommended that we need to try the shakshuka from cafe olé. We were there about 10 people(with kids) . The gentle men behind the cashier was so welcoming . He didn't mind getting the tables close to each others so we all can fit in . Not mentioning the food was so good. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try a Mediterranean style dish.

Lovely coffee shop with a big breakfast and lunch menu! Their spiced chai latte was tasty and creamy. I also ordered a breakfast wrap which comes with egg and cheese and two additional toppings--I did peppers and spinach. It was tasty with fluffy eggs! It was very busy but we were still able to find a table and the cashiers/baristas were fantastic at managing so many people and orders in a somewhat tight space. Its clear why it's popular

My coworker and I planned to walk the Benjamin Franklin Bridge nearby and I really had to pee so we stopped here to use the restroom. I wanted to be a good person so I made a purchase to use the restroom. The workers were are rude and rough. I don't think they care for customers. They were rude to other customers, so I'm not special at all. There's a lot of serve yourself, grab it yourself, deal with it yourself over there. They took forever to take my order, but eventually I ordered a small iced Vanilla Latte with OatMilk ($4.50 + 0.75 + 0.75). Get the lid and straw yourself over there. Not shocked. What makes it worse?? THE DRINK WAS AWFUL. Should have just peed and left. Why do I have to go and be a good person. I literally threw the drink away at the bridge entrance so I don't get stuck holding a gross drink. From the other reviews, it sounds like their food is decent, but I can only speak to my awful encounter.

Matcha latte & savory spinach popover.
    Greg S.

Fast & friendly service! I got a matcha latte and a savory spinach popover, both quite nice. Chill vibe. Evidently their shakshouka is a specialty, and judging from the stolen glances at my neighbors plate, it would be worth coming back for.

    Hummus Shakshuka.... Amazing!

My friend and I stumbled upon this little gem while meandering the streets of Old City the day after running the Philly Marathon. She's vegan and I'm gluten and dairy free, so stumbling across a place that meets both our dietary restrictions was incredible. Even more incredible was the delicious food. So much so that I came back three weeks later with my daughter and got the same thing. The hummus is out of this world. I just scooped it up with my GF toast and then dipped it into the yolk of the eggs. So, so good. If you aren't super hungry you could definitely share as the portion is enough for two. The dirty chai was perfect. Not too heavy on the espresso and not too sweet. Just right. My daughter was amazed by the tiny glass bottle of Diet Coke. She's a pretty picky eater but she said it was the best avocado toast she'd ever eaten.... Like it was whipped avocado. Absolute perfection. A bustling little joint so I felt pretty lucky to be able to snag seats both times we were there.

I ordered a green iced tea which was delicious, and then sat and worked. Wi-fi is solid here, and the outlets are plentiful. I especially like having seats with backs and sizable tables at the right height... when you're working from cafes the small details make a difference. Even though the espresso machine was down, the staff were still friendly and pretty calm about the whole ordeal (although some customers were not). Appreciate a friend face, a quiet space to work, and a nice vibe to relax in for the day. Will stop by again when I'm in Old City!

The sandwiches were tasty, although the bread was a bit too crispy. I usually love crispy bread, but this was very, very crispy and slightly overdone for my preference. The biggest disappointment was the egg -- it had that pre-made/frozen egg texture and appearance, which I didn't expect from this type of establishment. Overall, I'd still return for the coffee and the cute atmosphere.

The coffee match loved it. I couldn't be happier with all the food choices we've made and shared. The huevos ranchero was amazing it does have a good kick to it which I loved didn't require any additional hot sauce. My daughter loved the pancakes but the tropical bliss she loved so much. I had the omelette and it sad so well balanced so filling of a meal but I want to compliment over the fact that food did come to us served all greasy even the potatoes it was so well done. My son devoured his burger lol he loved it so much sharing wasn't really an option for him lol. Overall this review is well deserved with the starts given.
