This place gets 5 stars from me for their vegetarian/pescatarian options alone. Their menu truly has something for everyone!! Perfect place to come for a late bite. I'm not sure what time they stop serving food but my friend and I came here around 11pm on a Friday and the kitchen was still open. Variety of TVs all through the restaurant, and a nice outdoor patio seating area. Booths, bar seating, and high tops also available. We ordered the loaded tots as an appetizer (jalapeños on the side), they were delicious and extra crispy. I got a caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was a bit dry, nothing to rave about but better than you'd expect for sports bar salmon - plus, the portion size was generous. Went here yesterday to watch the USA v Australia World Cup match after seeing a lot of info on social media about this being a good place to watch sporting events. To start - the audio had a horrible echo which made it hard to understand or even listen to the match. Secondly - our waitress lost control of her tray and two full drinks spilled all over me. I know she was embarrassed and apologetic but the restaurant never once sent over a manager to check in or offered any sort of drink or item on the house. I've worked in this industry and I know it's not required but when something like this happens it's usually a courtesy to do one or the other. They have a decent happy hour menu and the food was OK but I don't think I'll be adding this to my rotation for frequented spots. read more

Sports bar in a hotel but you wouldn't necessarily know you're in a hotel bar. Wife and I wanted something for dinner but not wanting to go too far, we found Goldie's on Yelp within walking distance from our hotel. You won't expect much when you come in but take a chance. We sat at the bar and the guys were super friendly and I asked for his two favorite sandwiches. He said the Burger and the Hit Honey Chicken. When he said he was about to order the chicken for himself, I went the same direction. My wife ordered the burger. Both came with fries and let me tell you, I thought the fries were great. It is so easy to screw up fries but these were just right. I absolutely loved the chicken sandwich. Each bite was full of flavor and left you wanting to go right back in for another bite! I almost ordered another one. My wife said the burger was good but not as good as my sandwich. Guess who asked to switch halfway through? Yup, and me being a good husband I switched. Really awesome . my friend got their burger and I got the hot honey chicken sandwich 10 out of 10. The fries are like a really good fry. You get on vacation and never experience again but they have it. I recommend the margarita very fresh very yummy. Not gonna lie, I got a little scared when I entered Goldie's because it's attached to a hotel. And there's a negative connotation that comes with being a hotel restaurant. Goldie's however, does not fall into this stereotype. It's a pub. The staff is attentive and ever present. We went on a Wednesday night for Their 7pm trivia (we came 6th). Sound system for the mc could be better - and 'expensive' suggestion: maybe give the teams a tablet. I think it's a lot easier than using our phones cause the service in there isn't great... Modern pub with great food and draft beer. Steak frites were very reasonably priced for the quantity of protein; also nicely cooked, juicy, and flavorful. This is more of a place to watch football and drink, so it was a little empty when we came in. The reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is because some of the plates already at the table were dirty (not the plates with the food, those came perfectly clean). My experience with Goldie's Tavern was the absolute worst. before entering I was intrigued by the reviews and the food options but when my party and I stepped in, we were treated impolitely and rude. Our server had attitude the entire time we ordered and acted like we were dumb when asked a question. On top of the that experience, our food took over an hour to come out even though we had ordered everything we wanted in one go. What's worst is the food I ordered wasn't cooked properly and had made me feel ill the next morning. i would NOT dine here ever again and do hope they give their employees proper training. read more

We stopped by this place while on vacation because we just wanted to chill and watch the Vikings MNF game. We were immediately greeted and asked what we wanted to watch. The staff were so kind, friendly and prompt. We had some delicious beers, a salad and burger/tots at the recommendation of the bartender. When we paid our tab we found out she took care of our round of beers for us and that was such a sweet surprise! I wish I got her name to tell her thanks, she had already left by then. An inexpensive spot next to the Marriott Hotel. I came in and had the vesper martini from the happy hour and the burger sliders. The sliders are good despite them being on an English muffin. I came here a few weeks ago with my friend where we tried their brunch menu. And I will say it was some of the best brunch I've had in Midtown! The space of the restaurant is beautiful and very spacious and the staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming. We tried a few different menu items, and some that we thoroughly enjoyed were the quinoa salad, which was really flavorful and super fresh. We also loved the eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles. The only thing that I wish were a little different were the peach pancakes. I feel like the peaches were a little overpowering in flavor on top of the pancakes, and there were a lot of top so it made the pancakes a little to soft for my liking. I wish they were just a little bit firmer. All in all though, I wold absolutely come and I definitely recommend the food here. Local for 6 months to watch Knicks games. Would show up 2x a week. Arrived 2 hours before the Knicks game to get a seat at the bar. Ordered 2 rounds & attempted to order food. 3 minutes before the game starts, the manager decided to kick me and 3 other guest out our seats. Stated it was "reserved" for his "friends". Being a local, they always label the seats that are "reserved". Bar was packed & did not offer a new seat. Insisted that if we were to stay, we have to stand. Unprofessional and do not accommodate paying customers. I would not recommend this bar because at any moment you can loose your seat. Manager would rather run up a free tab with his "friends". read more

The burgers and fries were on point and everyone that had one said it was one of the best burgers they've ever had, and the fries were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crisp and salt. Welp I feel kinda bad leaving this review because the bartender was so so nice... however; this is possibly; no I am certain, was the worst "steak frites" I have EVER had. Bland, salty, thin, over cooked, and criminally over priced for the measly maybe 6oz portion they dish out. The chimichurri is strait cilantro and did not sit in enough olive oil, garlic or pepper flakes. The seasoned fries while not terrible were NOT a good compliment to the "steak frites" as they completely over powered the bland sliver of meat. To the owner/manager; for the love of god take this off the menu or make it a helluva lot better. Also if you're going to serve a steak frites; have a better wine pairing to set it up with. Otherwise you're bound to get more reviews like mine. Note the picture was taken after the first bite and I already knew this was not going to be an enjoyable meal.
