I only stopped by here for the Halo Halo and boy!!!!! I'm so glad that I did! By far the simplest, most delicious Halo Halo I've ever had! Perfect for a hot day in Nevada. This was truly a pleasant surprise. We were all definitely hungry after the activities of the day and didn't want to drive to far looking for a restaurant. I saw this place advertised bakery and restaurant, so that immediately caught my attention. Once in you wait to be seated. We were quickly greeted and placed at a table. The menu was wonderful with many different options to choose from, each broken down. We ordered from the grille, and got adobo rice, thai barbecue chicken, Korean short ribs, barbecue pork, and barbecue chicken. Everything was very well prepared. They have Pepsi products so soda was ordered and hot tea of course for me. Our server was wonderful, he kept the drinks full, and was attentive to our table. My husband and I ordered an ube (purple yam) cake from Goldilocks for our friend's 18th birthday, so when we went to pick it up, we decided to stop in for lunch. OK food, but SUPER slow service. If you're not familiar with Filipino food, be sure to check out the large, illustrated poster on the front window. It shows photos of all of the menu items along with a listing of their ingredients. Once inside the restaurant, the menu just lists the items by name, so if you're not sure what something is, you'll have to ask the server (or Google it on your phone, like we did). I am pretty familiar with lumpia and pancit (spelled "pansit" here), so I ordered "2-piece vegetable lumpia" for my appetizer and mixed pansit for my entree. The pansit was as expected: a mix of rice and flour noodles combined with meats, cabbage, and vegetables. But instead of the fried lumpia that I was expecting, the server brought "fresh lumpia," which was a large, rice-paper wrapper stuffed with the traditional lumpia filling, wrapped in a lettuce leaf, and topped with a strangely sweet (but good) sauce. Wasn't what I ordered, but I'm kind of glad I got it, because it was strangely addictive. My husband loves pork belly, so he ordered the crispy binagoongan, which was little chunks of fried pork belly mixed with tomatoes, eggplant, onions, and mango. This odd concoction actually had a nice balance of textures and flavors, although he was a bigger fan than I was. The food was fine; not as good as homemade, but what is? Sadly, the service was the weak spot. It took a long time to place our order, and then quite a while to get our food, even though there were only three other tables of diners. And after we handed the server our credit card, it took another 10-15 minutes to get it back. If the service was this poor at 25% capacity, I can't imagine how long it will take to eat lunch post-pandemic. But I guess if you have the time, and the need for some homestyle Filipino cooking, Goldilocks may be the place for you. (BTW, the cake was delicious!) read more

Ensaymada was very dry, crushed and looked a couple of days old and I'm beginning to question why I was even swayed by my wife to give Goldilocks Las Vegas another chance thinking they might have improved. Weekend Breakfast Buffet is Okay, Nothing to Die For For a change, we went to Goldilock's to try the Weekend Breakfast Buffet on a Sunday morning. We came in at around 9 am and shortly after, the place got really, really busy with people waiting by the door for vacant tables. I tried a little bit of fried rice, corned beef, spam, beef tapa, tocino, longganisa, tuyo, champorado, tokwa't baboy and jeproks. It was a good breakfast but nothing that stands out. What I really enjoyed was the coffee. I did not ask what brand it was or if it was made locally or in the Philippines, but it was good. Because there were so many guests coming in from 9 am, there was a lack of tables and seats. People were waiting for as long as 20 minutes before they could be seated. We saw wait staff looking over to our table and saying something among themselves while we were eating. We felt we were being pressured to complete our meal and leave. There was enough space to add at least 16 seats (4 tables of 4 people) in the dining room but I guess, there were no more tables or seats in storage. It was an okay eating experience except for the people waiting for an empty seat. At one point there were about 10 people waiting. On another weekday visit, we ordered fresh lumpia and palabok. I often travel to visit my mom in Vegas. It is a priority to include in our itinerary to visit and dine in Goldilocks. Recently, I ordered crispy kare-kare (with rice and bagoong). The fried food is well-made (fried squid & okoy with special suka). Their portion is great, and there is a wide variety of menu options! For someone like me who longs for food in the Philippines, it really addresses my cravings every time! Thank you, Georgia for your awesome leadership and for having an awesome staff. The place is nice and open. No claustrophobic feel. Food is generally okay. Most people have Filipino friends and have had Filipino food. The pork belly was too dry and the eggplant dish was a little bland. The beef bone soup was also bland. Nevertheless, with a lot of Filipino restaurants around the area, people can try different settings, from buffets to sit-down. The prices are reasonable, wait staff friendly. Let me clarify first why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2. The service. They did an amazing job serving our party of 40 during their lunch rush on Valentine's Day. Of course we had called ahead of time and ordered a bunch of food to share family style, but they were still awesome. There was plenty of food, they cleared plates quickly, made sure we had drinks and were so friendly. They even gave us an extra red velvet cake on top of all the left over food and desserts we already had. As for the food, I'm not fond of Filipino food at restaurants. And especially a chain restaurant. Everything is so bland and Americanized. The sinigang wasn't sour enough, the eggplant torta had too much egg, and the pancit was just eh. That pretty much describes all the food we ordered. But of course the halo halo was delicious. It had plenty of beans and fruit, instead of just all ice like other spots. We eat and shop here bout as often as we can. And when we do, our tab is over 300.00 per visit. Today we checked out the cafeteria styled lunch. 2 items for 7.49. Not too bad, we all thought. Ummm... we got 2 scoops of rice, a tablespoon of beef tapa and caldereta with mostly sauce. Oh and the sour veggie soup. Went here to get some food. Been craving some Filipino food lately. The place itself is fairly big with plenty of parking. When you get there you have to sign-in on a waiting list to get seated. There were plenty of tables open and it took me awhile to get seated. Once I was seated looked at the menu which had lots of good Filipino food listed. It took 10 mins for the waiter to come recognize me and take my order. A little too long in my opinion. Ordered the Thai chicken and some Taho (which is a Filipino snack/dessert). Food came fairly promptly and was quite delicious. The only thing they need to work on is customer service skills. It could be better. Other than that the food was good. read more

This is our go to Filipino restaurant. Had lunch here yesterday and ordered our favorite dishes like the Pork Sisig, Crispy Binagoongan, and Fresh Lumpia. My daughter used to be not a fan of veggies but she liked the Okoy here. For a change, we got the Rice Medley instead of the usual Garlic rice. Everything was really good, and even the service was fast. I think it depends on the time and day of the week and luckily, yesterday wasn't so busy. Our server even added a table after listing down what we ordered. What surprised me and my daughter was the check amount of $65.77, tip not included. My wife and I had the All You Can Eat (breakfast buffet) today. Since we were in the area, we tried it because it's only available every Saturday and Sunday. The various Food selection/entrees are served in the line by making your selection and they put it on your plate. You can come back as much as you desire. Food is indigenous to the Filipino market -4 Stars : (some of the entrees are : Daing na Bangus, Jeprox, Tuyo, Ginisang Corned Beef, Scramble Eggs, Tocino, Arroz Caldo, Adobo,Spam, Tokwa't Baboy, Champorado,Arroz Caldo etc... Desserts: Puto, Biko, Ginataang Mais and rice cakes) Service could've been more friendlier with a smile a little more enthusiastic and energetic.Out server didn't even bother to check how we're doing while having our Breakfast, nor offered a refill of coffee or water. I'm Filipino and so is my wife. We of course eat lots of Filipino food from many different restaurants and at home as well. The good thing about Goldilocks is that you'll find true Authentic Filipino Cuisine here as well as Authentic baked goods. The baked goods will almost always be perfect each and every time; however, the food isn't always the case. Which is why I give them 4 stars vs 5. The restaurant itself is clean and the service is good. It's just the food isn't consistent. We ordered dinuguan and lechon kawali as well as palabok. The palabok was great. The dinuguan was more of the soup or sauce and basically could hardly find any of the meat which is pork. The lechon was 50% good, the other half was dry and hard. Couldn't even eat it cause it was too hard and dry. But like I said it's not always like that. We get these items all the time because it's our favorite stuff to eat. Other times it's so good that we can't wait to eat there again. Hopefully it'll get more consistent in a good way. I still recommend going here to enjoy our Filipino Cuisines and at a really decent price as well. So enjoy and I hope this review helps. read more

We really had a long wait before we were seated on the table, it was busy, most orders were on the Bakeshop and take out, they are short staffed too. Had lunch on 12/28 & ordered bangus belly sinigang, chicken barbecue, adobo rice, and beef caldereta, all of these foods are barely touched, because it's presentation was bad and taste was mediocre, my 18 daughter was even saying she can cook better, we just cancelled the halo halo for dessert and went to Seafood city instead, I'm not coming back again, so disappointed! If Goldilocks don't improve in customer service, food taste and quality, I'm wondering if they will last long on their restaurant business. read more

This location is really big there is a good amount of seating for those who wish to grab a bite to eat. I on the other hand came for some goodies to bring back home to Jersey. I will say the have a good amount to choose from as far as Typical Filipino goodies Polvorone in a few different flavors, ensymada , they even have cake and the list goes on. They also have a few good selections for lunch if you need something quick .One thing I did take notice was the high prices for certain things that I know I could get cheaper in other places . This was a request from my MIL for tamarind candy and Polvorone and I picked up some tarts . My Bill was $60. The breakfast buffet is reasonably priced. I remember Grandma cooking this stuff. She would toil three to five hours behind a hot stove to make everything just right. I know cooking Filipino cuisine (the correct way) is not easy. Take for example the garlic fried rice. Just to make it taste just right without all the greasy oil takes extra care and skill. Then the time and effort to prepare adobo chicken to go with the garlic fried rice. Well, enough about cooking lessons. This is what I had for breakfast- Garlic fried rice with a strip of Spam, a link of sweet longanisa sausage, adobo chicken, and scrambled eggs with scallions accompanied by chocolate champorado with a dash of evaporated milk and a solid cup of coffee with half and half. I normally would get a second helping but maybe my poor stomach shrank. I followed up with the fruit salad and assortment of tapioca/coconut/baked cakes and another cup of Joe. Medical staff who worked the swing shift started filtering in. They came all the way from Valley Hospital. I worked the night shift there for a time. For them to travel all that distance says something about the reputation of Goldilocks. I may try the lunch and dinner buffet at another date. Bravo! read more
