This review is for Thanksgiving catering order. My family ordered weeks before but they waited hours at the restaurant waiting for their order. Normally I wouldn't be mad at this but they waited for crappy food. Karekare: Malabnaw (thin sauce) and has barely any taste. I had to put a lot of bagoong for it to be edible. Lumpiang shanghai: I'd understand that it is not crunchy anymore but some of the lumpia fillings tasted spoiled. Normally I don't care if it is soft and not crunchy. I have never encountered a lumpiang shanghai that I wouldn't Sharon (take home) until now. I talked to my aunt and she said it is hard and doesn't taste good. I guess some are soft some are hard and all taste old. The first lumpia I ate was decent I guess but the next one tasted panis so I don't know if they used old expired stock for some of the lumpia. Bbq chicken, pancit and crema cake: my family did not rave about any it and when I asked my aunt, she said hindi masarap. I didn't eat them as we have other foods from other places. Mango cake and Ube cake: Ughhhhh I also love cakes and they are my favorite flavors but their cakes are old! The sponge cake inside has so many large holes (didn't know how to make cakes?? from a bakeshop restaurant?) The icings for both tastes spoiled and old. Again, one of my favorite items that I usually grab some home did not. I just took one bite of each and threw the rest of my slices (sayang hays) Like I said, I don't mind waiting as long as it is delicious but sadly not. Wait time at the table was long and not even busy. When you complain about the wait they sabotage your food. I noticed like pubic hair or armpit hair on my food, so disgusting. I could say one of the best Filipino Restaurant in Las Vegas. The Pastry corner they have remind of of the philippines too many products to choose from. from ensaymada to mamon to hopia and i was surprised with 2 items the suman lihiya which is taste very good and the Cheese puff which taste better than portos, i dont need to go all the way to cali for that. The Restaurant got a good ambiance with good vibe of music when you come in. The server and the staff are very friendly and funny it makes me feel home. The food was amazing my family ordered a lot. We had a Crispy pata which is very crispy and tender, the chicharon bulaklak ughhhh its reallly good i really wish they have some street foods like isaw and others. The Crispy bagoong really taste good you can never go wrong with this one and we partner it with kare kare which is also good. for dessert we had halo halo its creamy and delicious perfect timing for summer. My mom loves getting the mocha rolls from here. Unfortunately, they ran out at the front. Luckily, Ms. Georgia was kind enough to check and see if they had more in stock in the back. Her attentiveness and service made our day better. We haven't tried the food items here, but we absolutely love their pastries especially their mocha rolls. This review is long overdue as we've been coming here a few times every month ever since we moved to Vegas. We often order kare-kare, pinakbet, lechon kawali and we always enjoy the food! The staff are pleasant and the service is great! Once in a while, we would order their mocha roll and ensaymada to take home. Love this place so much, it brings me back to all my childhood memories of eating here. There are multiple locations of Goldilocks around the U.S., but this was my brothers recommendation for Vegas. The staff were super friendly and the food came out promptly. I love the fresh lumpia that is filled with vegetables and ground pork served with a delicious gravy and minced garlic. (Pro tip- ask for extra garlic). We also ordered the diniguan and the palabok. My bf loved the diniguan and couldn't even finish it. Haven't stepped foot in a Goldilocks restaurant/bakery in YEARS! Let alone this particular one. Upon entering, we were not greeted and were confused as to whether or not we find our own table to dine in or wait to be seated. A minute or so later, a lady told us, with a little attitude, to go ahead and take the table right by the front door, as if we should have known. Smh. She also seemed annoyed when we asked her for the prices of the dishes. She brought a separate menu that lists their dishes with the prices. How ridiculous is that?! One menu with no price and another (for their reference only?) We ordered 2 palabok's and 1 dinuguan, a side of steamed rice because it doesn't come with it-SMH, halo halo and fresh lumpia to go, water with no ice and a Pepsi. She comes back with the drinks and the water had ice! I checked in on Yelp to get a free ensymada delight and I tell her about it and she says that I can do that when I pay my bill, by the bakery side. What if I want to eat it there after I have my meal?! Do I have to get it to go?I have to wait and pay my bill first?! Wth!! Oh the Pepsi was $4 and some change! Whaaa?!!! That's straight up robbery! Lol!!!! Overall, the food was meh. I guess it satisfied our hunger. Nothing special. Palabok, I can make at home and probably taste better. It has been years since I have visited Goldilocks due to the commute but here I am! Trying filipino dish from Goldilocks. They provide some huge servings and I ordered 3 things for one person. I was a little shocked which is a good thing cause I can take it to go. The service was good and the ambiance was clean. However, the vibe there was different now probably because of the pandemic. Who knows! The only thing I have concerns about is the grilled squid being over cooked and a lot of homeless around the area (which they don't have any control) But over all I still enjoyed the food. read more

Food was really good on this lication. My favorite us the crispy binagoongan with eggplant underneath. You can eat it like a salad. The lumpia sariwa are huge. I did not taste it though but my friends said it's good. Kare-kare is good too but needs to be thicker. The consistency is like a soup. The rice servings is huge so don't order one each person. There are pastries and other filipino goodies in this location and looks good. I got the hopia and all yummy. My friend diesnt like the ube cheese pandesal though. The service here is fast and lots of parking outside since it is in a strip mall. I would definitely check this out again when im in vegas. read more

It's been a while since we've had Goldilocks and this review only applies to bakery goods. I was so excited to pick up one of my favorite snacks, Classic Polvoron. The packaging was definitely different from the yellow box that you get from the Philippines but I didn't think twice about it. I also grabbed ube crinkles and a Mocha Crunch cake. It was a little disappointing to say the least. The classic Polvoron was very different compared to the ones from the Philippines. It has a nutty taste and it was very coarse. I ate one and didn't reach for another. The ube crinkles were okay, you get the ube hint, but the crinkle itself is nothing special. I've had better ube crinkles. The cake was also okay. All I was tasting was butter, which I was not a huge fan of. I guess on the bright side, you get a free ensaymada when you check in on Yelp! read more

Good Filipino food like Thai, and Vietnamese food wonderfully combines sweet, sour, and savory all at the same time. A plus is that you can torture loved ones, family, and friends who are squeamish about off the beaten track foods (blood, tendon, and various organ meats). I really wanted to like Goldilocks, you can see it's a favorite with Filipino families and expats, but my favorite dish crispy pata was just ok, and crispy pata should be an amazing hunk of juicy, oozing, crispy, cracklin pork shank goodness. We also tried the lumpia, again just ok, a vegetable dish with pork, and a shrimp dumpling dish that was hot on the outside freezer cold in the center. I love hole in the wall, mom and pop hidden and neighborhood gems, Goldilocks is not one of them, but I see the attraction-Goldilocks features quite a bit of prepackaged Filipino pastries and desserts that remind the expats of home. I haven't been to Goldilocks in a while, found this place after our escape room at escapalogy and wanted to try their bakery goods, they have a check in and they'll give you a free ensaymada. I also ordered a box of ube cookies and lumpias. I love Filipinos no food but I think Ivette better Filipinos food back in our area. I wished they were tastier but it was kinda meh. It was my first time trying the ube Cookie, front he first impression it looked like a cookie covered with frosting but really is not that sweet at all. We've been to the original Goldilocks in San Francisco, so we expected the same type of offerings (backed goods, sweets). We were excited to see a renovated restaurant, and a nice selection on the menu, but sadly --- the service fell short on all levels. Service: No one to greet us at the front of the house (everyone was busy by the bakery counter which was located on the other side of the restaurant). Half of the patrons dining, were either waiting for their food, looking around for service or had to flag someone down. There didn't appear to be a sense of urgency with the wait staff. We had to ask for menus, water. We ordered the sinigang jipon (shrimp), pancit lug lug, fresh lumpia and pinakbet. All arrived fresh and delectable (especially the sinigang), but the service was really lacking. No "How is everything?" "Would your like dessert?" It was a let down. We typically order baked goods to go, so siopao was top on our list. Counter help was a lot friendlier and accommodating (complete contrast from the restaurant). Would I go back? Perhaps. This is my favorite place to get Filipino food. I like their rice medley (bagoong), crispy pata, pancit canton, fresh lumpia and kaldereta. For their sweets, I like the polvoron. I normally just come here for to go because I noticed that they have a lot of seats but are understaffed so I just come here when I have time to wait for my to go or I order in advance when it's during the holidays.
