Visiting from out of state and saw this spot! Ambiance is beautiful! Food was excellent! Absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh!!! Our server Mojo was so attentive and made my visit super memorable! I highly recommend this place! Cons at the time of visit: -No one was at the front to greet and had to wait a few minutes to be acknowledged or seated Also, Parking is a tad tight

I just flew in to O'Hare and we were hungry. We decided to try this place. The staff wasn't too great and the wait time for drinks was wildly long. I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice and my mom got iced tea with lemons. Neither of which should have taken more than 3 minutes to bring. They also were not busy, so no excuse. Our server never checked in to see about refills or if the food was even good. My mom absolutely hated her banana bread French toast. It was very dense and lacked banana flavor unless you had a piece of banana with it. It is also very thin unlike other places. But mostly, just lacked flavor and was way too heavy and dense. I got the eggs Benedict with sausage links on the side instead of the Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was yummy. The English muffin was again very dense and I didn't care for that. The house potatoes need a bit more seasoning and flavor. They also need more time cooking to get a little more crispy. Overall, I wouldn't recommend. There's quite a few breakfast and brush places in the area and I don't think this one is worth it.

I enjoyed this place! We came on a busy Sunday late morning and had a 15 minute wait for our table. We were seated at a table by their bar. The tables were close, but you get as though you still had plenty of room to move. Our server was running around like a chicken with its head off because it was so busy. I could tell he was trying his best and he did come to check in at our table a few times during this rush but towards the end of our meal we didn't see him as much and had to flag him down for the check because we had to be on the road at a certain time. The food was good- large portions!! My husband got an omelet that was huge. My mom got a skillet that was a good size as well. I ordered the steak and eggs and when they brought it out initially the steak was well done. Like a beef jerky texture... chewy and dry. I had ordered medium rare. I hate to be that person but I sent it back and when I got it the second time it was much much better and delicious. There is also outdoor seating but I think because it was so hot the day we came- there was no one outside. Parking a get pretty packed in their parking lot but thankfully I got lucky on my first lap and was able to get a spot. Overall I'd recommend this place, it was good!

Brunch City Cafe is a cute suburban spot in Des Plaines. We ordered the Vegan Burger, Buttermilk Pancakes, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chilaquiles, and the Garden Skillet (without eggs). My favorites were definitely the Chilaquiles and Garden Skillet highly recommend getting the skillet with shredded hashbrowns. The signature hot sauces were also a highlight, especially the red one which was spicy but had great flavor. Overall, the food and vibes were good, but nothing I'd rave about. Worth a try if you're in the area!

This is a nice breakfast restaurant located near the Chicago O'Hare airport. They have a large variety of items on the menu and even a seasonal menu available for patrons. There's a large parking lot area with plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place was clean. The food came out in a timely manner and the texture and temperatures were great. The food was good. I went with a seasonal item of the chicken Panini. They do offer alcoholic beverages they had decor related to the holiday. Definitely recommend and will be back again.

Wonderful brunch spot! All their dishes came out beautifully plated and quite eye appealing. The dishes are more than well portioned as we had plenty to take home at the end. Ambiance wise it was a brightly decorated dining area with attraction of the room being the orange juicing machine behind the counter that had the kids at the next table mesmerized. We happen to be there on a weekday morning when it was relatively quiet but the staff was wonderful and friendly. I noticed in the front of the restaurant is this enclosed but floor ceiling windows around a patio that would be fantastic for those that want to enjoy the outdoor weather while having their brunch.

    Shoe leather bacon

The service was very good, had a simple bacon and eggs breakfast. The potatoes were dry, the eggs were dry and the bacon was as tough as shoe leather. And the coffee was mediocre.

So I walked in I was greeted right away. Given coffee and water. Ordered right away So wait staff was good but note that the place only had 3 tables to wait on not including mine . It took 20 plus minutes to get my Barbacoa Benedict. Upon reviewing The meat was dry. Luke warm. It has a spicy flavor. But also a after taste I didn't like. So the 27 plus dollars I paid for it wasn't worth it. So im not trashing this place on one plate but probably never go again. The atmosphere and service was good though.

Overall, fantastic breakfast. We showed up around 11:00 AM on Sunday for late breakfast/brunch. Friend and I found them through our AI search for top 3 breakfast spots near O'Hare but not at the airport before we headed home. Only waitdd 10 mins for a table. Parking was pretty good but busy. Best breakfast we had on iur 4 day trip in Chicago and East Troy, WI. Server, Kat, was kind and courteous. They brought out the food quick and even after bringing out the wrong order to me, it was only two mins tull the correct order was brought. I also told our server we wanted lots of water. She brought 4 glasses! Fantastic and she refilled me before the last glass was empty. 5 stars Ambiance was casual but clean. Modern diner type of experience. It was loud but not too loud. 4 stars. Food: Ordered Steak and eggs skillet sunny side up w/steak medium and added avocado; south if the border skillet with eggs over medium (came out over easy, but still very good). Bith came with some very good sourdough toast with a jelly/capote that seemed home made. Lastly ordered the Banana bread french toast. Steak and eggs was 5 stars. Steak was cooked medium as requested. South if the border was really good, despite slightly undercooked eggs and it being a tiny bit soicy for my preference (you never know with fresh jalapeños). 4.5 stars. The sourdough was great. 5 Stars. The banana bread french toast was fantastic. 5 stars. I will be back the next time I am at O'Hare. Really well done.

Came here on Tuesday morning before our flight from Ohare and i have to say this was the best brunch I've had from my trip to Chicago! The service was great, our server was so kind & friendly. He made sure we had everything we need and always attentive. The place itself is big and clean. The decor is really nice and calming. Not super loud. We ordered the barbacoa benedict, banana bread french toast, caramel latte & orange juice. The benedict was so delicious & the potatoes it came with were perfectly crispy. The banana french toast is something i've never had before elsewhere, and it was the perfect sweet treat. The latte was okay but the orange juice definitely was freshly squeezed! Would definitely come back when I'm around Ohare or in Chicago!

Friend and I went for breakfast and the space is well lit and looked clean. The restaurant is decorated nice. They have a beautiful outdoor patio. The restaurant is spacious for groups. We were sat immediately. Ordered our food and received it fairly quickly. Customer service was exceptional. My friend order the eggs any style. It comes with a meat, potatoes, toast or pancakes. She opted out of the pancakes/toast because we shared the banana French toast. She also ordered the oatmeal. She stated it was cold and inedible. She had no complaints about the rest of her meal. The banana bread was made well but I wouldn't call it French toast. I would've appreciated more of the drizzle on it. I had the beef brisket tacos, which is supposed to be one of their specialties. The brisket was tender but it lacked flavor. It's as if they were depending on the homemade salsa to give it flavor without seasoning the meat. I had to add salt, pepper, and hot sauce that was on the table to give it enough flavor for me to consume it. If I'm ever in the area again perhaps I will try something different. This place definitely has potential.

The diner has a classic, retro feel with a checkerboard aesthetic that gives it a traditional diner vibe. It is not very modern or trendy, but it is clean and well-kept, which is really what matters. The space feels simple and comfortable, making it a place someone can visit regularly for a quick, reliable meal. The menu is very straightforward and features typical diner staples. The food was pretty good, but the dishes were very basic with nothing particularly unique about them. It felt like the kind of food you might make at home, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't especially memorable either. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese and sausage ($9.95). I also ordered bacon on the side (3 for $4.25). The egg sandwich was okay, but the bagel tasted like those cheap bagels you would get at a hotel during their complimentary breakfast that come from a bag. The sandwich didn't have anything on it other than exactly what they called it on the menu: a bagel, sausage links cut in half, an egg, and cheese. Nothing on the sandwich was seasoned or flavorful. My husband enjoyed his food much more than I did, and he ordered the Big Texas Breakfast ($12.95). This came with country-fried steak with sausage gravy on top, 2 eggs your way, and hash brown potatoes. He also ordered sausage links on the side (3 for $4.25). The service was friendly, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, which worked well for us since we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Overall, Lola's Diner delivered a simple diner experience with homemade-style food. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.
