Yeah was definitely really horrible experience extremely unprofessional. I had to exchange defective glove. They had told me they could not make the exchange because the insurance plan I bought on the glove they didn't cover even though I had bought it through them. They were extremely rude "David", another guy told me that I just grip it to tight and that he has more experience in the golf field then me. I am a division 1 golfer +5 handicap and he was telling me I grip the club to hard. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Disrespectful, I told them I will be contacting corporate and they were somewhat respectful. Instead of my signature, he said he wanted my autograph when signing my receipt for the exchange. In this day and age a person 19-25 years of age they will walk all over you and treat you with no respect. Just remember they have bosses to that can put them in check. This store has superb costumer service! Everyone was so nice and helpful while my fiancé was purchasing some new gear! Matt and Shane both went above and beyond with their service. Went for a fitting for a new driver and Bill really took excellent care of us! My first real club fitting was an eye opener. I was using the wrong shaft for my slow swing speed and the newest technology really gives you so many options to help you play better. Back to Bill. We went through all the Hot List Drivers to see which had the look and feel I was looking for then matched me with the proper shaft to seal the deal. Seeking to check out some new golf gear, I made my way to Golf Galaxy to check out their offerings. ++ The space is HUGE! There's def a wide variety of products for every skill level and pocket book. ++ Love that they offer a free rewards card good at various other sporting stores too! 3% back isn't bad at all! +/- Associates throughout the store greeted me in passing, but non stopped to offer me assistance. I'm sure had I asked they would've taken their time to help me further. -- While there were lots of products - some areas of the store were rather messy; making it hard to locate a couple specific items I was looking for. Worst Customer Service ever! Was referred by a fellow I played golf with who has taken lessons there for 2 years from Peter. Went to the store and sat directly in front of a salesperson that was helping another client. Was on the stool in an empty store in front of this person for a good 15 minutes who refused to acknowledge my presence. Finally flagged down another salesperson and told them I was interested in lessons. They knew nothing about anything concerning lessons ( price, etc.) Told me that the person I was referred to was vey busy, was leaving town for several weeks and booked up for months. Could not even tell me the price of lessons. Left my name and phone number for Peter to call me back. We will see if that happens. Would not hold my breath. How can you possibly run a business in this manner. Makes me re-evaluate if I really want to spend my hard earned cash there. Very poor impression. After playing 9 holes at Broken T, we decided to check out some of the updated gear, check out a new glove and see what this awesome mega store had to offer. Here goes: STAR 1 =Staff is ultra amazing in the sense that they know their stuff! we had a few questions on ladies clubs and which set would better fit someone of my stature (i'm so short!), which clubs were best and the like. one guy helped us immensely and even let me try out a few clubs to determine which were best for me. STAR 2 = Location is killer and inventory is plenty! Right off county line and I-25, It's close to home and plenty of parking! The selection of products are insane - as the entire warehouse is packed full of new and used equipment, perfect for all levels of golfers. STAR 3 = Pricing is on point - as there is a wide range of products that range from high end, to gently used. We opted to get a brand new bag set of women's clubs which was on sale for $199! STAR 4 = A free rewards card - known as the Scorecard, is good for Golf Galaxy, Dicks Sporting goods and Field & Stream. Not only do they offer 3% back with all purchases, but there are always tons of exclusive coupons to utilize! The staff was not only unhelpful, but it literally felt like they were angry that we were in the store. Bad enough of an experience that I felt like I should leave a review. Came in on a Saturday to regrip my irons and drivers. And ask some questions about some of the cowlings on my shaft. Some guy standing at the front door who appeared to be a manager, was chastising a female employee for a mistake. I stood there for a solid 5 to 10 seconds observing, looking at them wondering where the service counter was without receiving an acknowledgment, only when it was obvious that I was there for something did the manager break from the conversation to greet me. This was extremely unprofessional and I excused myself to find the service counter. While waiting at the service counter, all I hear is shoptalk from other employees coming from the back regarding how dumb it is of managers to start new people on a Saturday. Spoke to Shane for service, he answered my questions about the iron shafts, and then while he was helping me another older employee interrupts our conversation and Shane bails on his service efforts with me to run to this other issue. The entire experience lasted all of 5 minutes and service was the last thought on every manager at this store. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would! Had an absolutely horrible experience with one of the salespeople there today trying to do a trade in and buy a different set of used clubs. This should have been an easy deal, instead this particular salesperson was just a jerk. He was smug and had a horrible attitude. I wanted to trade in a set of Titleist AP2 716's 4-PW, a Titleist D3 Driver, an SM6 Wedge and two Titleist T-MB Irons 3-4, all at least 8/10 condition for a set of used Taylormade P770's 4-PW, 8/10 condition as well. Anyone who knows golf clubs knows my clubs easily covered the cost of Taylormades. I understand Golf Galaxy is in the business of making money and not in the business of just swapping out clubs but this was a fair trade. The values of the Titleist irons alone are the same as the Taylormade, add in a nice driver, wedge and two expensive T-MB irons and Golf Galaxy was coming out ahead. They were asking over $800 for the set Taylormades and told me that they would only give me $300 for all of my clubs. That is ridiculous! I would have happily done it though and even brought another $100 to the table which I told the guy to make the deal happen but he wouldn't budge. When it was Golfsmith they used to work with their customers like this all the time. I know on used sets the golf stores get them for pretty cheap and there is always some wiggle room FYI for anyone who doesn't know. Not getting the clubs isn't what upsets me though. I understand the game and know it's a business. My problem is with the attitude of this salesperson. You work at a golf store bud. Your job is to help your customers get what they want and have fun. Even if you couldn't make the numbers work because you are and I quote a "stickler" you didn't have to be a prick. You were not helpful and you were a jerk about the whole thing. I've never felt the need to leave a review ever in my life. This is my first one. That is how bad you were! I also called the store to complain about you and will be calling the corporate office tomorrow. I could have left the store with a new set of clubs and a very positive experience with you and your store but left disappointed in humanity hoping you get fired. I've bought my last 3 sets of golf clubs there when it was Golfsmith. Never had one issue. We went to the brand new location today and were not impressed. We were probably in the store for a total of thirty minutes and not a single salesmen came up to us to offer help with finding shoes. I also did not see a single employee roaming the store. Then we got to the checkout counter and set out items down to the left of the register. The cashier then said "Ope, I'll actually take you over here" he literally wanted us to grab our items and put them 2 feet to the right side of the register. LOL could you not do that? I just left Golf Galaxy where I intended to purchase a driving iron after trying a few. After a short wait for a bay I attempted to ask a sales person on the floor for some help as the sensor was not picking up the ball flight. He, however, ignored me and that I was trying to ask for help. Everyone else was busy with other customers so after nearly an hour in the store I left without the club I wanted. The gentleman that regripped my putter was very friendly and helpful. That cannot be said for the rest of the staff. Now I am headed to the PGA superstore. Wow, what a sad state this place is in. I've been to plenty of Golf Galaxys, but none are the mismanaged mess that this one is. I had stopped in here a few times in the past few months and had noticed how rarely anyone ever attempted to help me. I had always just been browsing, so it hadn't really bothered me. However, last week I went in to specifically hit a couple clubs I was looking for. I was in the store for a few minutes before a girl asked if I was doing OK. I said that I wanted to hit the new F8 driver and 3-wood. She called over the radio, requesting that someone meet me at one of the bays. I went over to the hitting area and saw a single older employee. He took one look at me and promptly left the area entirely. I waited for nearly 15 minutes for someone to meet me. Finally, one of the Golftec guys noticed me and offered to go find someone to help. The guy he found is the sole reason I will NEVER step foot in this store again. When he came over, I asked if they had a demo of the new F8 "tour length" driver. He had no idea what I was talking about so I asked to hit the regular F8 instead. He went to adjust the club, and when I said it didn't matter for my purposes, he scolded me. Since it wasn't the driver I wanted to hit, I really just wanted to see how the contact felt. I wasn't really feeling it on this particular day, and I was having a bit of trouble finding my groove. Instead of just letting me do my thing, he started to criticize my stance and give unsolicited advice on what he thought I needed after just a couple swings. I was hitting the 3-wood great, but he never had a word to say about that. If I want lessons, I will get some lessons. I gave him the clubs back and said that I really wished they had the tour length. He responded that I should just choke up on the regular driver. No. Cobra puts different weights in the tour length to fix the swing weight difference, so choking up will not be an accurate feeling. When I tried to explain this, he literally rolled his eyes and scoffed at me! Listen, you snotty little prick; The great thing about golf is that it can be played by such a huge variety of people. There are no right answers. There is no such thing as a correct swing. If a customer wants to hit a particular club, your job is to help them, not act like know-it-all d-bag. The only thing can lead a staff of people to behave this way is poor management. These people are not being properly trained. It's a store full of golfers, who fancy themselves experts and feel like they are right to belittle customers. I have been to the nearby PGA Superstore numerous times this summer as well. They are FAR superior in every way. It's a shame, cause I really liked Golf Galaxy when I lived in Vegas, but whoever is in charge of this one needs to make some SERIOUS changes. read more

I have never written a positive or negative review in my life...but Golf Galaxy is such a bad experience, that I thought I would let them have the first one. If I could give them a 0, I would. They have had the worst customer service both in-store and online for years. This poorly run store is constantly a running joke with my friends and family. Just look at all the other 1 star reviews for more proof. And you probably ask, why do you continue to shop there? Well there really isn't any other brick and mortar golf store, so they have a nice monopoly in the industry. Never never again !!!! Like others stated, you will be ignored at this store. I was shopping for a putter, in the half an hour I was there no one bothered to ask if anyone needed help. But fortunately for me, I kinda knew which one to buy. This was when the nightmare began. This store had one cashier. This was not the worst. After waiting for 20 minutes for this single person to check out 2 customers in front of me. Now, this will get worse. I was trading 3 wedges for this putter. These wedges were Clevelands and Mizuno.....all late models. The cashier had no clue, nada, clueless about golf !!! He had to get the golf values from a book. After 15 minutes of him looking for which model, he asked me what type of clubs these were. As the line of customers multiplied to 5 deep, the manager finally told him what these clubs were. Then this pea brained cashier had to ask the manager again. At this point, I told them....forget it. As the manager tried to save the sale, he wrote down the information and values of the clubs. You think the nightmare was over ? I was going to pay with a brand new Golf Galaxy credit card. All I had was an email with a bar code for the cashier to scan it. Mr. Pea Brain can't even do this !!! He kept trying to input the credit card number instead of scanning the bar code. So zi told him, if you can read the instructions clearly stated....SCAN THE BARCODE !!! Every time I come to this store I'm disappointed. The way they treat women golfers is awful. I came here once to buy clubs and they completely ignored me. When I finally found someone to help me they just pointed me to the few women's golf sets. Meanwhile all the men around me were getting custom fitted. Today I came looking for women's golf shoes. Their selection is abysmal. They have many options for men but only a very few for women. I spoke to the manager about it and he just pointed to the women's shoes and said that's all they have. I have done business with this store many times in the past and have been , for the most part, satisfied. Yesterday I went in with a Father's Day promotion coupon for $50 off any purchase of $250 or more. I selected a new Taylor Made 3 Wood and when I was being rung up presented the coupon. The clerk said that doesn't apply to "new equipment". I said "show me the disclaimer on the coupon" which did have some disclaimers on it . He said "its not on there" and still refused to apply it.. In the past I have used their coupons, and they will have all the disclaimers such as "doesn't apply to Titleist golf balls" , etc. I found the clerk to be rather condescending and really not very customer friendly so I paid my $420+ and called Golf Galaxy. They inform me that each store makes their own call on the coupons, which in my opinion is very misleading and unprofessional. Then they said the coupon didn't apply to Taylor Made equipment. I told them that is not what the clerk said. He said 'new equipment" In summary.. I will never walk in this store again and if you decide to use a coupon, make sure you find out if it applies to the equipment or item that you decided you just had to have! read more

I'm a left hand golfer so while the space and selection is huge the left hand selection was limited. For example no left hand Cleveland wedges in stock. Secondly the staff was useless. I was in the market for a putter. Selection was OK. But when I tried to get someone's attention they did what they could to avoid eye contact. I finally left and purchased my clubs on line. Same level of service! If you are going to spend money on staff at least teach them basic sales skills. read more
