One slice is $7 this month. We got the cinnamon banana bread, but the cinnamon was only on the top of the bread. Even so, not enough cinnamon. The banana bread itself is very moist which I enjoyed. Nothing too special honestly. Just a very standard banana bread. We did not expect such a thick slice for the price, so that was great! Service was great. They ask if you want a middle or edge piece. read more

I got the cinnamon variety as the OG chocolate chip wasn't available which I was told is their best seller. Nonetheless, the bread was fatty, crumbly, moist, not too overpowering with the cinnamon. A good start to the day with my coffee. I love banana bread, make it at home, and my consistency is not as moist like theirs. It definitely gives me something to work up to. The lady working the stand offered great service and was easy to chat with. At $8 a slice, I would get a whole load if she allowed a sample. I'm not sure if she would or not, but you would get more bang for the buck! It is a farmer's market after all. read more

This is a banana bread stand located inside the grove farmers market. We came here on a holiday and got a slice of the nut banana bread for $8. There was a server behind the counter who was quick. It's just a stand, but you can sit and eat at any of the market tables nearby. It's a fairly simple stand, a the bread had a good mix of sweetness and savory. read more

I tried the raspberry lemon banana bread. It was very moist and flavorful. It's a pretty big portion, so I ate it over a couple days. This is the small counter location inside of the Market Place at the Grove. The girl running the counter is very friendly and had a great information about the selections. She also told us that the brick and mortar is located in Brentwood. I hope to visit there some day. The banana is the best of course and the double chocolatel, chip, is delicious as well. The bread is not too sweet or overly buttery which can be with some sweet loaves. Anyway, Enjoy! read more

$8 for a slice of dry flavorless banana bread $40 for a loaf. $2 for a small container of cream cheese icing that was maybe 2 tablespoons. The banana pudding was better than the bread and I assume they take day old slices and put them in a very subtle banana pudding. For 9.75 this is a better buy. I know this is the Original Farmers Market and they cater to tourists but if this is really what they have to charge maybe the rent is to high. Others love this place so maybe I am being to picky sotag you are it to try. read more

I stumbled upon this place last weekend shortly after arriving in LA. The price had me think twice, but I treated myself since they have a Vegan/Gluten Free option. It was excellent!! I bake banana bread and receive rave reviews and I must say that this is better than mine. Yesterday after a conference, I went back for more! The staff that helped each time were great! Note: they validate parking at the farmers market, which factored into my decision to go a second time -- because parking is ridiculously expensive at $3.50 each 15 minutes! read more

The BEST banana bread in such a fun area. We loved going to The Groove when we lived in LA and wanted our teens to see it. Walked by and had to stop at the cute booth. We had a sample and bought the one with the sugar topping. The employee was so sweet, she gave us a sample of the icing to try it together. We promised to be back on the way out of town on Friday and that was the first stop. Bought slices of: blueberry, big banana, the sugar topped one and one chocolate chip. read more

This banana bread is MOIST. I even left it in the open bag overnight on accident and it still retained its moisture. I've had the regular, cinnamon, and blueberry banana bread and all of them were delicious. You really can't go wrong It also had the perfect amount of sweetness without being too sweet. This place is a must when you're at the Grove. Couple it with some ice cream or coffee and you're golden. The woman at the counter that served us was really nice too & gave us a sample. I love banana bread. This is all they sell. Got Blueberry Banana Bread. Very moist and flavorful. Plenty of blueberries and banana flavor. They have nice variety of various flavors. Want to come back and try more. Maybe they could start selling coffee as well? This Banana Bread booth located at The Farmers Market in Los Angeles is fantastic. I've never been the biggest fan of banana bread, but this place is next level. Such a yummy treat in the middle of the farmers market. No nonsense, simple tasty banana bread. Was on a first date when we stopped by. Jeremy was great at helping us break the ice as we made our decisions lol. Business is booming bc they were out of a few options... but I'm more than pleased with my chocolate chip choice. The girs at the counter was very nice, but the banana bread was awful. Never before had such a heavy, gooey, sticky bread. Toasting didn't help. I wanted to take it back, but didn't feel like driving to the store. Ended up throwing it out. It was a total waste of $10. read more

It was my first visit to GBB and I ordered 2 different slices, as I wanted to sample their bread. They were served pre-packaged and I didn't discover that both were small end pieces until after I'd left the area. Perhaps all single slices are served this way, hence the pre-packaging? Regardless, I won't return to find out. I strongly dislike the end piece of any bread and for $8/slice, it was definitely not worth it. read more

went to this place for some banana bread. located in some outisde food court. exterior and interior is just a stand with shared outside seating with other vendors. clean with funky decor. simple menu with diferent flavor banana breads..ie..og, chocolafe chip, cinnamon etc. served sliced or whole loaf. also has banana pudding that looks like those ready to eat pudding you see in grocery stores filled with chunks of their banana bread. ordered the sluced standard plain banana bread. total damage $8. breads are presliced and already in togo pouchs and served room temp. 1 minute later got the food. amd the verdict. its ok to good i guess. taste like a regular banana bread. nothing special. slice portion is bigger then grocecy store though. 1/5 of a loaf that you buy from a grocery store whole loaf. and served room temp. but at $8 its pricey for the portion you get. should be more $5-$6 ramge. anyway, i wont eat it often due to price but once in awhile isnt bad. read more

There was no customization with the selections and there was no one to ask. For instance the mango shaved snow came with the melon. I wanted the strawberry shaved snow with the melon balls but they didn't have that option. When you order additional toppings, they leave it on the side. Not visually appealing at all. My niece and I shared the Strawberry Shaved Ice ($18.99) and added Mochi ($2.50) and Melon Balls ($4.25). After you order from the kiosk, you seat yourself and they'll call your number when your order ready. I really like their shaved ice here because the ice is creamy and flavored before they shave it so it's extra flavorful and creamy. It's just really expensive for what it is and especially pricey when you want additional ingredients. Most other shaved ice businesses will allow multiple ingredients for a portion of the cost. One thing that was weird is how it came in a plate instead of a bowl shaped container. Eat quick and make sure it doesn't tip over. I'm so torn because I like the product after the addition of more toppings, but I'm not sure it's worth the price. Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. It's flipping through them so fast. Since it's a new concept and ordering is a bit more involved than other dessert joints, I was getting frustrated that the menu would change as I was trying to read it. I believe there are three choices daily, and the latter is most likely a daily offering. I didn't get to eat these until much later, but I'm pleased to say they are really good! This is a very heavy/dense treat in the shape of a mini 'brick'. I didn't even finish them in one sitting, so I'll get a lot out of these two due to their size. The only downfall for me is that these are $10 each, so this is going to be a special occasion type of place, and my birthday already passed. The chocolate chip cookie with rice krispies "Summer Camp Chip" ($4.25) has delicious flavor and if you enjoy soft & chewy with a slight crisp, they hit all textural marks for excellence. This has become our absolute favorite snack to get here and I gots to have it every time I'm in. The chocolate pop tart is solid. We prefer the taste of this to the brownie cookie...we aren't big on that one. I had such high hopes because I love brownies and obvi love cookies, but alas, personal taste preference. The chocolate cake pudding ($4.25) is a rich and decadent treat that can be eaten right out of the wrapper it comes in! I was surprised I loved this chocolate cake soaked in chocolate custard with a few marshmallows and caramel on top. The Peanut Butter El Rollo is a tiny but cute little guy at $5.50. They make their own peanut buttercream for the inside filling and the chocolate is just wonderful. I like their bars One of my favorite things at Cake Monkey is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cakewich. This mini cakes are just $5.75 and individually wrapped so make for great little gifts to bring to a housewarming or event. Plus it's gluten-free and vegan so all our friends can enjoy it! Cakewiches for the win at Cake Monkey Bakery! I've only tried the Matcha Latte in the drink department here and was satisfied with it. I'd like to try some of their fizzy drinks but they were out of tonic water this morning. Next time! And there will definitely be another time with Cake Monkey Bakery! They just have SO MANY options here, it's easy to find multiple baked goods you can enjoy here. I'm a fan.

The swirl is actually made with a frozen vanilla yogurt base and then they just throw in all the other things you want! I also liked the little picture wall they has for photos!
