We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

A red salsa which was mild and has some nice acidity from the tomato. Then there was a creamy green salsa that had a nice spice. Then finally my personal favorite a great black bean dip. These paired well with the free chips. My partner ordered the queso birria, great flavor and a great consume. Then I had the poblano enchiladas which was the best dish of night! The poblano sauce was creamy cheesy and delicious. There was a nice spiced shredded chicken super tasty. Overall a fantastic restaurant with great service too !

We loved the enchiladas Suiza and the tacos de Camarón. The shrimp tacos were delicious, but be aware they're pretty spicy. Highly recommend both entrees. For dessert, we had the churros and they are incredible. Can't recommend them highly enough. A work of art. Bring back the chicken flautas. The menu is a bit limited. The Carne Asada is a bit cost prohibitive compared to other Mexican restaurants.

The service is CRAZY good. And if you're lucky enough to find a spot at the bar, you're in for an even better drink/food journey. Favorites: the carne asade and seafood chile relleno (w/Serrano queso). If your dining mate will split these two dishes with you, you're going to have the perfect meal. All their drinks are good, but among my favorites are the Mezcalita and La Diabla. If you're unsure, you can share your liquor/cocktail preference and the bartenders will serve you something delicious. Also, if you like things spicy, they have a creamy green salsa that is . You just have to ask. I can't wait to try their new location (mostly because I want to see how some of my favorite bartenders are doing over there). Sueño deserves all the success because they truly care about your experience from start to finish. Which reminds me, get the churros if you save room.

It has gray interior, tables, and chairs. We ordered strawberry margaritas while waiting for 2 more people to join our party. The first margarita was not bad. It had decent strawberry flavor. After the 2 joined our party, it took quite a while to get the servers' attention to order more drinks and food. I ordered another strawberry margarita and the Fernando Tex-Mex platter. This margarita had so much strawberry mixer in it compared to the first one. It made it too sweet. The Fernando had plenty of food, and the beef enchilada was my favorite. The meat could have been seasoned more to give it more flavor.

It had a cute patio (it was too cold at the time) and inside is somewhat intimate with how dimly lit it is. Service was pretty straightforward, we ordered and we were checked on consistently. I had ordered Manuel's enchiladas and they were so perfectly saucy. I like that there was a variety because I can never make up my mind on what I want. We finished off with the coconut flan and it was everything I wanted. The coconut flavor and flakes added a whole different level to flan for me. I've never had it this way before. I look forward to having it again!

At no point did my server tell me that there would be an additional $2 charge for the substitution. Had he told me, I simply would have kept the rice and beans that came with the meal. When the bill arrived, I noticed the extra $2 charge and questioned it. Instead of simply acknowledging that the additional charge had not been communicated to me when I ordered, the server sent the manager over. The manager ultimately refunded the $2, but his attitude was unnecessarily rude. He told me that the menu explains there is a $2 upcharge. Regardless of what may be printed on the menu, when a customer specifically requests a substitution that carries an additional charge, I believe the server should clearly mention it when taking the order. This wasn't really about $2. It was about communication and customer service. A simple, "Just so you know, there's a $2 upcharge for the vegetables," would have prevented the entire issue. Instead, I left feeling like my concern was treated as an inconvenience rather than a reasonable customer-service issue. I will not be returning because of how I was treated.
