    Cheese-wrapped Volcano Wing
    Airi G.

I'm about to get on my health grind by eating Korean oven-baked wings instead of fried ones. I tried all of the flavors they offered except pepper crispy and my favorites were definitely the volcano, soy garlic, and sweet and spicy. That said, the galbi and original dipped in the sauce wasn't bad either. What made the saucy wings even better was the cheese dip. I've seen so many people try this on Instagram and even one of the waiters recommended that I wrap the wing with the cheese. It was actually a lot better than I thought because the cheese was pretty tangy and sharp as opposed to mild. I wish I knew what type of cheese it was because it was delicious. The interior design is stunning and the space is huge. There's a seating area downstairs with plenty of tables but also a beautiful private blacked-out room. Then, as you go up the staircase, there's more tables indoors and a spacious outdoor patio. They're having the grand opening this weekend so I can't imagine how packed and popular this place will get within the next few months. Street parking is tough but they do have valet for $3.

The pricing is pretty steep for chicken wings. At $34.99, that is almost $3 per wing. The sauces were okay, but likely contradicts the 'healthy' marketing aspect. The gochujang chicken pasta ($19.45) was pretty good. The mac and cheese ($4.45) left a lot to be desired. The pickled radish ($2.00) lacked crunch and portions were small and you have to pay extra for more servings. Add a 9.5% tax and the typical Korean restaurant service, you may question whether or not this Korean chicken experience is worth it. It was nice to try this Korean chain restaurant and see what the hype is. Plenty of seating and the restaurant is quite spacious. Mandatory valet parking fee even if you parked the car. Total: $90.29 post-tax and tip

I had Goobne since I've already tried lots of great Korean FRIED chicken places before but this time I wanted to go for a healthier alternative, and this place did not disappoint at all. A Korean American friend was the one that recommended it. I tried the boneless galbi seasoning one but there's also the Sweet & Spicy and the Pepper Crispy one. The flavor alone is totally worth it. Although I still love deep fried chicken, I think with this roasted method you get more actual meat per pound. The boxes that the chicken come in are also super cool and practical for takeout and overall it was definitely worth the price (the portions are so big, you'll definitely have leftovers for the next day as well!)

everything I had here was sooooo delicious!! my favorites were the soy garlic and the galbi . even though these wings are healthier because they are oven roasted instead of fried, the texture is so amazingly crispy and delicious, and even better than the classic fried ones imo if you're looking for a healthier but delicious alternative to your favorite fried foods, this spot is for you!! When I first walked in the servers were so so friendly and enthusiastic about what they served, eagerly pointing out what flavors they recommend. The interior is very sleek and modern and there is actually a ton of seating! I loved the patio on the second floor, it was really nice to sit outside and enjoy the meal. In addition to the chicken, I was able to try their fondue cheese, which was so amazing with the chicken. The cheese pull was *chefs kiss* and so chewy. The Mac and cheese was also a good addition to the salty, sweet chicken. All in all, I had a great time and would highly recommend goobne!

Food: 4 stars Service: 5 stars (for take out only) My sister told me about this place, and we finally tried their chicken this past Saturday. Ordered takeout on early Saturday night, and both phone and in-person services were great. Our food was also ready when I arrived. Took about 20-25 minutes for phone order. Overall, I would say this place is a hit or miss since our family all gave 3 - 4 stars and said they would go back to other Korean fried chickens. We ordered two half & half as follows: original & volcano wings, and soy garlic & pepper crispy wings. Of the four, my first pick was soy garlic. Other family members picked pepper crispy and volcano. Original barely had any flavors, it was too plain for me. Wings are definitely bigger than other places, and all wings were cooked perfectly. But unfortunately, it was a miss for our family.

Tried out this new Ktown location both takeout and dine in. I would have to say food was amazing! I originally was not fond of oven roasted chicken but this place is recommended. We ordered the pepper chicken, galbi and soy garlic boneless and was flavorful. Also try out the garlic pasta and the chicken tacos they are new on the menu and go well with the meal as well. Service was awesome, staff were friendly and the interior provided wide open space. Great vibe overall.

Staffs are extremely friendly but apologetic as it took over an hour to get the food to our table‍ But it seems like that s how it is all the time (as I attempted to visit multiple times - always 30-60min wait to get the food) regardless of how busy they are. BUT THE CHICKEN IS OG I tasted a bit of Korea here. The sauce lacks of bit compared to what I use to have in Korea but just glad to have Goobne in KTOWN. But the onion rings and waffle fries are waste of money. Too much breading and rather soggy than anything near crispy.

The food was good & the service was good!! I really liked their volcano chicken!! Also they have really beautiful window views.

I had the creamy chicken burrito and korean pesto pasta! I had gotten delivery from this place ever since they opened, but when their side menus opened up I just had to come in to try it in person. The service was amazing, all the servers were really sweet and attentive, and the food was even better! The vibes and ambiance is so much better than the pictures. For chicken I recommend the original or soy garlic, and for the sides you HAVE to try the pesto pasta. Highly recommend this new hot spot in LA!

Def top tier korean fried chicken place. I've never seen that thickest juicy chicken wings in my life!! But wish the price was bit lower than that.

I ordered the chicken strips with fries, while my partner ordered a two-piece chicken dinner with macaroni salad and spicy rice. Although we had to wait a little while for the food, it arrived hot. We both agreed that it was some of the best fast-food fried chicken we had ever eaten. The chicken was moist and the batter was crispy. My fries were good, and my partner's macaroni salad and spicy rice were both flavorful. We especially loved the biscuit. I also couldn't help noticing that although the dining room feels like something of a relic, it is very well maintained. There were no dirty tables and no trash on the floor. I was genuinely shocked when the cashier came out to ask how everything was and whether we needed anything else. Most fast-food chains seem determined to eliminate as much human interaction as possible. Pioneer Chicken was a refreshing reminder that fast food can still be friendly, clean and satisfying. The kind of spot where you walk in and immediately think, Yep... this is where you bring someone you're trying to impress. The ambience hits that perfect balance of modern, moody, and stylish, a little sexy, a little artsy, and fully date‑night certified. Service was on point the entire night, for my experience, maybe cause they know I was was going to tip very heavily. Ha ha ha. Which ai did by the way! Staff was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The team here knows the menu inside and out, and they guide you like they're curating an experience rather than just taking an order. Drinks topped off, plates cleared smoothly, pacing perfect. High‑end feel without the high‑end attitude. Let's talk about the food. Filipino Fusion Done With Swagger Ribeye Salpicao, This dish is straight-up dangerous. Tender ribeye cubes seared with garlicky, buttery goodness, the kind of salpicao that makes you rethink every bite you have. Rich, savory, and addicting. If you don't guard your plate, someone at the table will steal a piece. "Because I know I would!" Rockfish Pritong, it was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and seasoned like someone's Filipino auntie whispered the secrets of life into the batter. Bright, punchy flavors with that perfect crunch. Definitely a sleeper hit. Crispy Duck Pancit, This one is wild, pancit with a crispy duck twist that somehow feels both comforting and elevated. The noodles soak up all that savory duck richness, and the crispy skin on top. Wow, a moment of silence for how good that bite is. Papaya Salad, so fresh, bright, and refreshing. A perfect palate reset between the heavier dishes. Crunchy, citrusy, and balanced, the kind of salad that actually earns its spot on the table. Grilled Eggplant Salad, smoky, silky eggplant with a char that tastes like it came straight off a backyard grill in Manila. Light but flavorful, and a great contrast to the richer plates. Pasta Palabok, a true Filipino classic reimagined. Creamy, savory palabok sauce wrapped around pasta instead of noodles, bold move, but it works. The textures are luxurious, and the flavors stay true to the original. Tare Tare Tamale, definitely one of the most creative dishes of the night. A fusion tamale with tare flavors that hit sweet, salty, and umami all at once. Soft masa, rich filling, and a flavor combo that makes you pause mid‑bite. "Mmmm hmmm!" Hamachi, so clean, fresh, and beautifully plated. The kind of hamachi that melts instantly and makes you feel fancy even if you're wearing sneakers. Of course I had my dress shoes on. It has bright citrus notes and just the right amount of heat. Sampa nails the high‑end, artsy vibe without feeling stiff. Trendy lighting, modern décor, and a soundtrack that keeps the energy fun. Perfect for date night, anniversaries, or when you want to look like you know the cool spots in LA. Sampa is Filipino fusion with confidence, bold flavors, gorgeous plating, and an atmosphere that elevates the whole night. If you're trying to impress your significant other, celebrate something special, or just treat yourself to a killer meal in the Arts District, this place delivers. "Always remember the energy you give ...is the energy you receive. One bite at a time! " Miguel C.

We came here during DineLA week. $55 for 4 course menu. It is our first time here but we had tried…read moretheir kare-kare tamale and ube cheese cake at food festival... so, we were quite excited to dine here. The menu is simple but creative, perfect blend of Filipino and Spanish cuisine. Inasal cesar salad: calamansi dressing is refreshing. Grilled chicken is perfectly grilled add a nice twist to the salad. Kare-kare tamale: signature dish. The braised oxtail is so moist and tender..the veloute sauce is milky. Bucatini and rigatoni are also so yummy. We can't decide the winner. Bucatini is spicy. Rigatoni is milky and buttery... so you decide. Grilled escabeche white fish: the fish is moist with crispy skin. Ribeye is melt in my mouth. For desert, panna cotta is a.perfect ending of a beautiful dinner. Every dish.is beautifully presented. The service is impeccable. There is paid parking across from the restaurant for $10. It is probably one of the best meal we had this year. If you have not been here, Sampa should be on your bookmark to check out.
