It's a no haggle car buying experience and we tend to like that better. The price we paid was reasonable, not dirt cheap but not high. The vehicle we purchased had extra-low miles and was in very good condition. The 3 stars given here are because of the positive nature of that part of our experience. Everything after the sale has been awful. There was one thing that needed to be repaired and they agreed to repair it as part of the sale but said they couldn't do it that day. Turns out they couldn't do for a month! Curious that their service department is that backed up. It was the hazard lights. The switch was either bad or disconnected and we were leaving the state on a road trip, so waiting a month wasn't an option. They decided to get a local Chevy dealership to do it because the vehicle still has full manufacturers warranty. That still had us waiting weeks and having to do it at a time that didn't really work for us. I picked up the phone and called the Chevy dealership a few blocks away from ClearShift and they were able to take us the next day. So we wound up dealing with that ourselves and are still not clear on why we could find next day service and they couldn't. Now it is 5 days until our dealer plate expires and we have not received anything to take to DMV to register and plate. Called the DMV; they have no record of a title application and told us to go back to the dealership, get a new dealer plate, and get a clear picture of why they haven't done this and when they plan to do it. Have called ClearShift more than once, before and after calling the DMV. Can't get a human in that department and nobody returns my calls. Tried texting; so far no response. I would have loved to give them 5 stars. The GM (or owner?) of the dealership was really nice to us, and very accommodating. We were impressed. The salesperson was nice and we didn't have any issues with her. We love the vehicle we purchased. They had good resources for financing. 5 stars was theirs to lose and they're busy losing it. It feels like now that they cannot make any more money off of us, we aren't important. Seems short-sighted. I still (cautiously) recommend them if the right vehicle is there for you. That's the only reason we went there--they had a hard to find truck we really wanted and it was exactly what we'd been seeking and were struggling to find. We truly love it and are not sorry we bought it. We are really frustrated with the very poor after purchase service.

I have even been told what I wanted even though I literally just told them what I wanted! I decided on a car I wanted but it was a hard to find VW. I started calling all VW dealerships in the area. Stumbled across Automotive imports. Here is he conversation. "Hello, I'm hoping you can help me, I'm looking for a hard to find car." "What is it you are looking for?" "A VW Golf R with manual transmission." "No, we don't have any of those on the lot right now. My coworker drives one!" "Oh yeah? (Joking) does he want to sell it?" (In the background) "hey! You want to sell it?" "Yeah! He will sell it to you!" Seriously!! So this is how I knew me and my car were destined for each other! Through the entire test driving, financing, purchasing and delivery process I was never questioned on if I really wanted this not so practical sporty car. - I'm a mom of 2 in my mid 40s. I was never spoken down to, disrespected or treated how I've been treated by countless other car places of all varieties. I'm here for my second service and still they are always kind, respectful and honest. Furthermore they are actually FRIENDLY! They remember me, ask how I still like the car, ask about the kids, whatever! They are the only ones I will trust with my fateful little beauty!!

It is unfortunate that I have to write this poor review, but the crew at Royal Auto were not…read morewilling to assist, despite being warned that I would write this and report them to the Colorado DOR Auto Industry Division. I purchased a car from them and about two weeks later a check engine light came on and would not pass emissions. After taking the vehicle to two mechanics it was found that both catalytic converters were bad, and need replaced at a cost of $3,800. Both catalytic converters failing at the same time seems suspicious and I've now learned that it is common for chemicals to be added to the gas tank to trick the car's computer into passing until the next tank of gas without these chemicals in it. Which lines up with when the check engine light came on. I asked for assistance from Royal Auto, and I offered to pay half the cost of the repair and them pay half. (Plus write them a raving review about how great they were). Instead, all I received was that they would do the labor themselves, which was only 10% of the cost of the repair, and I was required to pay the remaining. I was also shocked that their salesman continued to say he wanted to help me but his Owner would not. And when asked to speak with the Owner, I was told that the Owner didn't talk to customers and refused to speak with me about the issue. I've now found that they are in violation of a few dealer sales practices, such as title transfer and lack of emissions voucher, so I will report this to the Colorado Auto Industry Division. These look like they could be large fines, and I warned about this, but Royal Auto didn't seem to care. This doesn't help me, but maybe it will help someone else and prevent this in the future. Buyer beware.

We no longer need two cars, so I listed this one on Autotrader, which provides an Autocheck report. The report shows that the car had severe frame damage when purchased at auction, therefore negatively impacting the value on it. I challenged Autocheck, but they stand behind the report. I asked Denver Auto company for help and was treated horribly. They clearly covered up critical damage. These guys are dishonest, unethical and rude. Go somewhere else.
