A one day move including full pack and unpack with one truck devolved into a 4 day (2 to pack and 2 to unpack). Crew was abysmal, disrespectful, yelled at my upset wife, drank my alcohol in the house we were moving from. Yelled at each other. I'm still in shock. To make it perfect, this is how they left our home today after the lead guy yelled at my wife who was so upset they were so behind. This place clearly bought their 5 star reviews. And let me be clear. We sent video walkthroughs of every room before booking the contract. We were abundantly clear on the parameters of the job. We even asked for a new crew for the unpacking. Not to mention the lead mover brought his wife for 2 of the days as one of the crew who told my wife "I don't really know what I'm doing, I usually work in the office." Run. Literally run, don't walk from this company. Oh to even add more color, I never comment on Yelp but I'll be damned if stay silent this time. PS. MY wife reminded me, I had to buy the crew extra boxes twice AND on the day we had to be out of the house I saw the truck wasn't going to hold everything and at 4pm (when I had to be out by 6pm) I had to go rent my own UHaul to get the job done. Disaster company. Disaster process. Responding to the owners response: We did ask for a new crew and was assured we would have one. On Saturday at 8am as we waited for the new crew we were promised, no one showed up. That's when I started calling and texting. It wasn't until nearly 2pm when my "new crew" showed up. Except it wasn't a new crew. It was the existing lead man, his wife (again) and two new people. I have yet to be called back. I expected apologies to myself and my wife and I expect a refund. Danielle family "got sick" and then when Erica called she talked to Julia Wednesday who said we would get that companies response that day or the next (yesterday/Thursday). It's now Friday at 10pm. My first experience using movers and I'm glad we did! My wife has been trying to convince me to get movers for our move since we've collected a lot more furniture and "stuff" with a new baby. We recently used Good Deeds Moving to relocate us from our 2 bedroom + garage (more like 3 bedroom + garage) apartment in La Habra to Orange. Our movers Edwin, Freddy, and Xavier arrived on time and got right to work! We had the majority of our stuff in boxes ready to go but had our clothes still on hangers and in the dressers. They told us to leave the clothes in the dressers and would move everything as is. As for the clothes in the closet and in hangers, they provided us with garment boxes which made things 10x easier to move! What took the longest was getting everything packed in the truck. Edwin was a master at arranging things on the truck to get the most space out of what he was working with. He must have been a pro at playing Tetris because he fit everything in all the nook and crannies! Freddy and Xavier got to work loading the boxes on the truck while Edwin stacked them up nice and tidy. They also got work on wrapping our furniture up so nothing would get damaged. We did have one piece of furniture break but it wasn't too bad and they took responsibility for it. We both were agreeable on the terms of it so we both we're satisfied. We used Good Deeds because they were the most affordable movers that provided 3 guys to help out! We couldn't believe how fast they loaded and unloaded and packed everything up nice and neatly. We went off of everyone else's reviews from Yelp to give them a shot. Do yourself a favor and if you're needing to move and don't want to do all the hard work, call these guys! They won't try to add any kind of extra charges to you end bill, if anything, they'll take care of you if you take care of them! Needed a mover and alway can count on Yelp! Found these guys and contacted them right away. Needed to schedule a quick move, which was not a problem! Morning of the move I needed to ask that they come a little later, arrival window was 8 to 9am, needed them to come at 8:30/9, my request was not a problem. The guys were there and in full swing just before 9am. The crew was Edwin, Raydon, Robert, easy going, fun to talk and mess with, and beyond professional in what they do! I had prepped some of the stuff, took apart beds, IKEA sectional sofa, and had packed a few boxes myself. Once the guys showed up it was full speed ahead, but with extreme care and always asking questions and letting me know what they were doing. I was moving from a 4th floor apt building, to a first floor, garden-type complex. They had lots of trips up and down, but got it done pretty quick. They padded and shrink wrapped everything, I had no worries of anything getting damaged. We got to my new place, and as if it was planned, it starts raining, and not just a drop here and there, it was coming down! How did this affect the crew??? It didn't!!! They took the rain in stride and got it done! I had put down some rugs and towels at the door, my new place has brand new carpet! The crew made sure they did not track in any mess and took care in making sure the carpet stayed looking new! All in all, the move took about 5-1/2 hours. My old place was about 840 sqft, so there was a fair amount of stuff. Beyond happy with the service, and didn't mind at all dropped a 25% tip onto the final bill, Edwin, Raydon, and Robert more than deserved it!!! I and my wife and our three 20-something children live together here in Orange County, trying to make the best of a dim and dire situation. While settling in for the Holidays, I got the dreaded text message from our landlord, we had 60 days to vacate. No one's fault, just different families having to circle their wagons due to changing and challenging times. One of the FIRST calls I made was to Good Deeds Movers because they moved us the last time and were SO good! We are REPEAT CUSTOMERS. And that is really saying something when it's a service that is not used that often! Anyway, I called Tony on the Holiday weekend and even though he was not really open for business, he took time out of his day off and I was all booked and scheduled within a few minutes of calling. On the day of our move, I got a call from the team leader, SAUL, that he and his guys were on the way. He kept in touch with me the whole time. All of the guys, SAUL, TRE, NICK and CHRIS were excellent with us and very attentive to our needs. I was especially pleased because I am in my 60's and can't do that physical kind of thing anymore. They immediately put me and all of us at ease and spent the whole day in a very cheerful and professional mood, which really helped take the sting out of a pretty traumatic situation. I feel as though five stars is not enough to describe the amazing service Good Deeds provided me during my move. First and foremost, a BIG thank you to Joseph and Rodney for helping me move from a 2B/2B in Newport to a 2B/2B in Costa Mesa. My move was scheduled between 8/10 am. I received a call 30 minutes prior to their arrival from Joseph and he explained the process and asked some questions. I probably should have gone with three guys because the walk for the two of them was a little far. (My bad!) They worked a total of 6.5 hours and packed EVERYTHING!!! They even managed to get all my stuff down the tiniest elevator at my old apartment. I kid you not, this elevator is like a 3x3. It still blows my mind how they were able to do that. Not only that but they took down all my tv's and other things that I wasn't able to get to myself. Not only were they super professional and good at their job but they both were extremely friendly and nice. Moving on a Saturday sucks because you lose a weekend but honestly I had the best of time with these two. It made my move that much more enjoyable. This company is amazing! Christine always answered all my questions. Everyone was super friendly! They gave me a courtesy call in the morning letting me know that they were coming. Akeem, Mike, and Dejuan came exactly at 9:30 a.m like they said they would. They had smiles on their faces as I greeted them. Even though there is a pandemic, these people are still out there working doing a "good deed." Everyone wore gloves and wore a mask! They kept themselves safe and us safe. Everyone went to work right away, absolutely no lag time. Akeem took apart me bed, although it was a difficult bed to disassemble he did it in a timely manner and was never frustrated. Mike was helping my sister wrap up all her z gallerie furniture and disassemble everything so quickly we were in awe! They were very professional and were conscientious of our stuff! They made sure to wrap everything with blankets and plastic wrap! Mike went above and beyond and summoned his Superman skills and brought down the whole refrigerator himself! Very skilled and knew what he was doing. Everyone was Superman they maneuver all the furniture out of a tight space, down a long hall, and down a flight of stairs. I was looking for movers to move from LA to Seattle. I looked into a few vendors and ultimately decided on Good Deeds because of customer service and price. Rodney (the owner) was responsive with the quote and worked with me as I was figuring out my exact move date. We agreed on a flat rate and scheduled to pick up my items from LA and deliver them 2 days later in Seattle. The movers, Edwin and Eric, were very professional and handled my furniture with care. They were good about wrapping my furniture to protect them while working diligently. The LA move was packed up in a few hours and they hit the road. On the Seattle end, they were delayed due to weather issues but were good about keeping me updated with their status. Everything seemed fine when the move was completed (which was very late at night this point since the guys were delayed due to weather) so I paid and tipped the crew. However, next day I found a few things that were damaged and contacted Rodney. I recognized the movers did a good job and that damages can still occur regardless. Rodney was very responsive and made sure I was compensated to some extent for the damages. My family received stellar service from Good Deeds Moving Company. The team was professional, punctual and quite charismatic ( words I never thought would be associated with a moving company). The team of 5 ( Sergey,Kevin B, Ty, Kam, Nigel) had such a great chemistry amongst themselves that it almost made you want to join in on the "fun" and we all know that moving a 5 bedroom house should not be classified as such (10.5hr day). Good Deeds is creating a strong culture within their company and it is evident by the hardworking members of their team who appear to genuinely enjoy what they are doing , who they are working for and with. Perhaps it has something to do with infusing a sense of purpose and "Southern Hospitality" into their training - uncertain :o) but whatever the recipe is - don't change it. My post was intended to be placed last night, but again it was a long day. We picked Good Deeds Moving based on their Yelp reviews and being in the local area - we rate their service as outstanding. We were moving from our 2,800 sq. ft., 2-story home of 27 years so you can imagine there was quite a bit of furniture, boxes, and appliances to be handled. After talking with Robney in the office about the details of our move, we decided to go with his recommendation of using 4 movers and we're glad we listened to him. Our four excellent young men (Duane, Antwan, Sam, and Henry) were busy and efficient the whole day long. They had a great attitude and we established good understanding and rapport. To our surprise and because they knew what they were doing, they were able to complete the move in just one trip, getting all our household items as well as patio furniture in the truck. They carefully wrapped all our furniture, pictures, TVs, and appliances and unloaded them at the other end in just the same condition. It took them 5.5 hours to load the truck and 2.5 hours to unload, so 8 hours total. We packed all our own boxes before they arrived so their task was just basically loading and unloading. We feel we got great value for money and will use them on our next move (as this was just a temporary move) and will ask for the same guys. read more

You don't need to look any further then Good Deeds Moving!! I researched over 15 moving companies to help me with my move from Orange County to Las Vegas. Rodney, Christine and Necole in the office were so patient and worked with me for a month in coordinating my move. Then on moving day they sent their dream team in Crew Boss Sal, Jonathan, Matthew and Saul H. This crew was friendly, highly efficient, hard working, and FAST!!! From the moment they arrived, they worked non-stop. They were very organized, disassembled and wrapped all my furniture and they were careful with all of my belongings. The move started in Orange County at 9:00 am and they were on the road by 1:00 pm. They arrived at my place in Las Vegas at 6:00 pm, and went straight to work, finishing at 9:00 pm. Good Deeds is amazing! Gave them a phone call and asked them for pricing. They asked me what I needed and told me that they charge a flat rate with a 3 hour minimum. All I needed was a refrigerator moved and a washer and dryer for my father in law. They were on point. They told me they could do it the same day and that even though my father in law was in Rowland heights they would leave Costa Mesa immediately and drive up and take care of him. Rodney was a pleasant guy and I'm so thankful and glad I found Good Deeds. Because it was only three items being moved Rodney told me his normal hourly rate and told me to just be Honest and take care of his guys for their time and helping me. After seeing the work and craftsmanship of his two guys he sent out to move stuff for my father in law, I Went above and beyond and paid them even more than what Rodney suggested because they were so good. I wound up giving them $140 and some water and juice and sending them back in their way to Costa Mesa! I'd recommend Good Deeds anytime and will not hesitate ever again to use them if I ever need anything moved! We got a quote and a contract fairly quickly. The team was willing to match other offers. There was a booking snafu that required us to delay our move by a day, but Danielle gave us a call and made us whole. The day of the move, the movers gave us a call when they were 30 minutes out and arrived during their window of 8-10am. Within 3 hours, Ed, Rob, Herb, and Kevin had all our belongings in the truck, including our furniture and our wall-mounted TV's. They arrived within 15 minutes of their ETA and got straight to work, finishing within 3 hours. Great move experience overall. I'll be sure to give Good Deeds a call for my next move! Some things you should know about my move: * We made sure we had nearly EVERYTHING packed. Clothes, books, dishes. * We put everything.that we didn't want moved in a single room and told the movers not to touch anything in that room. * We labeled boxes for everything. Rodney and Good Deeds Moving are top notch! In preparation for a recent move, I received quotes from several moving companies. The majority of them quoted anywhere from $500 - $750. Rodney, the owner of Good Deeds Moving, quoted $237 for 2 movers and a large truck with a three-hour minimum. After reading the numerous 5-star reviews, I decided to go with Good Deeds Moving. Rodney texted me to confirm the move the day before. On the day of the move, Rodney gave me a courtesy call thirty minutes before the movers arrived. Kervin and Jorge arrived promptly and were prepared to begin right away. Both guys knew what they were doing - they were extremely efficient and careful in handling my property. They were also super down to earth and easy to talk to. The entire move was completed in 2.5 hours. It would have literally taken my girlfriend and I a whole day and probably 4-5 trips. Okay, so initially, my experience wasn't 5 stars, but because the guys were so nice, I decided to make it 5. Here's what happened. To start, the guys were an hour late. It was Friday at 4pm, so I get it, but that's nothing new (traffic in SoCal.. on a Friday). It didn't seem like they were being communicated with through whoever was dispatching them. I was irritated at first, but the three guys, Jorge, Eric and Saul, were so kind and friendly that I forgot about my initial irritation. I was moving from Long Beach to Costa Mesa so there was a long drive between the two. I asked one of the three guys that was moving to ride with me so I could use the carpool lane and he obliged me. The unpacking process, which happened in the dark, moved quickly enough and they moved me out of my Long Beach storage unit and into my apartment in 3 hours (billable) plus the drive time (double the typical distance of A to B, which is typical). Overall, I was very pleased with them. Any shortcomings with regard to the process are easily forgiven when the guys are all nice, kind and hard working. We had an excellent experience with Sal, Saul, and Ronnie, who handled our office move with professionalism and care. The job grew from our original expectations, because we decided to include more items than originally anticipated. Despite no elevators, and bending concrete stairs at one location, and a residential flight of stairs at the final location, these guys were real troopers hauling A LOT of furniture and boxes. On top of our standard desks, chairs, and tables, our office move required careful consideration for a very large solid mahogany executive desk through a narrow hallway. It was impressive seeing them navigate that desk out of the corner office and to the truck without touching a single wall! Today was a very long, hot, exhausting day, and Sal, Saul, and Ronnie worked extremely hard to accomplish our move while still maintaining pleasant and positive attitudes. The service is exactly as advertised online. Christine was our move planner and stayed in contact with me right up lo the day of the move. As promised they called when they were 30 minutes out. On our moving day, the arrival time was scheduled between 8am and 10 am. At 8:30 the call came that they were on the way, and 24 minutes later they arrived . The moving crew of Sal, Kevin, and Ronnie were so fast, they had our 2 BR house loaded and ready to go in 2 hours. I hear you, they just threw stuff on the truck, right? Not a chance. Everything, and I mean everything, was wrapped with moving blankets and plastic wrapped to hold the blankets in place. They were so efficient and for as fast as they moved, they were very gentle with our stuff. The 105 mile drive time was reasonable, and on arrival, my crew blew my mind. Like others who have left reviews, these guys were RUNNING to unload items. Again, speedy but efficiently, and extra care was used when approaching doors, walls and corners.
