    Fish & chips
    Alexandra E.

An overall good experience. I'll start by saying, my husband and I wished to give 4.5 stars so we resolved that he would give 5 and I'm giving 4. I got the cod fish and chips. My husband got the pineapple chicken sandwich and the frog and chips. The presentation on these plates was very satisfactory, and mixed with the atmosphere, may have even made the food taste better. We enjoyed everything a good bit, but found that everything had a similar flavor, maybe because the same oil was used to fry everything? We don't know. The fish and chips weren't the best I'd ever have. The fish itself was good, although for the price at $19, I found it lacking in substance and in quality a bit. The breading was a bit dry and too crispy on bits, as well. The skin was too crunchy. The fries were very crispy and hard to stop eating, and they were good! The frog legs were the highlight. Juicy and tasty, and certainly a fun item to pick on our date night. I had never tried frog legs and enjoyed them possibly more than the fish and chips! My husband's sandwich was good, but very messy, he noted. Overall, the experience was good. What really made it for us was the atmosphere. We loved the murals and decor. It was classic Florida but not the overused beach decor with the same tan and shade of blue that I usually see. Colorful purple and blue and orange - beachy in a very fun and vibrant way. It was neat to see a place serving gator, frog legs, and other cool things. We talked to the owner, who was a very pleasant man. Our server was a very nice guy as well, and never left us feeling awkward or as if we were asking too much. Everyone was polite. There was a calm and cool atmosphere here. We thought it very nice, the menu variety including Thai cuisine as well as seafood and classic Florida dishes. Overall we had a lovely date here. For the price, it's not a place we'll likely go back to, but as a special occasion date night, we surely enjoyed our experience here! Bathrooms were clean. People were nice. Food was good. Atmosphere was lovely. Comfortable chairs.

St. Lucie Platter - Fried Colossal Shrimp & Aligator, Fries, and Coleslaw

I stopped close to even they opened on a weekday in order to beat the crowd. There is a bar or tables you can choose to sit at. The ambiance is very Florida, so it's true to the restaurant name. I immediately noticed the gigantic octopus mural on the right side of the restaurant after I sat down at my table. My photo does not do it justice, but it paired nicely with the fish and aligator decor. My stomach was set on trying their aligator and I was told by the male owner that their aligator is sourced from a county close by and comes in fresh. I was curious about how big their shrimp were as well so I ordered the St. Lucie Platter. The texture of the aligator was just right, not chewy at all. The shrimp were huge and the batter was nice and flaky with a crunch. The coleslaw was refreshing to have between the shrimp, aligator, and bites of fries. I wish the portion of the coleslaw was larger (considered how much fried food there was) but it is a lot of food already, so not a big deal. I thoroughly enjoyed my entrée and wanted to explore a bit more of their menu so I asked about desserts. My waitress showed me their two desserts options - Florida Key Lime Pie and a Cheesecake Brûlée with Blueberries. I decided on the blueberry cheesecake at the recommendation of my waitress and it did not disappoint. The sweet torched soft but dense cheesecake was simply decadent. I will be back to try more!

Been here several times and always Enjoyed the food and conversation. Owner is super nice as is the staff. However, something seemed off compared to usual. Seafood was chewy, not as fresh - was it frozen? The menu was paired way down, and some of our favorites were not an option anymore. For mostly empty place, it was almost an hour for our food to be served. I don't mind a wait for good food, but it was very mediocre. It was so good when We first started coming here - our treat. Unfortunately, we may not be retuning for a while. Very sad!

Hidden gem- excellent experience. We went this evening for a late dinner - casual dining with eclectic menu choices and great service. The food was fresh, great sauces and nice presentation. We had gator bites - cooked well, tender and light batter. The curry sauce on the potstickers was amazing. Grouper sandwich and shrimp pad Thai were also very good. Excited to return and try other things on this very "varied " menu. Highly recommend.

Super good food, great staff! Super fun menu! Chill atmosphere, I love the mural . Well lit and clean, with the tall ceiling. A great bar for extra seating They keep up with the bathroom cleaning. I loved my pineapple chicken sandwich! It was HUGE so glad to see Somebody isn't skimping these days... the batter tasted good, but it does taste like they use the same oil for everything, sandwich a little fishy. I really hope they put iguana on the menu soon! Next time I'll get Gator or one of the delicious sounding Thai dishes.

Ate at this delightful, locally owned restaurant and enjoyed every bite. The owner and staff are so friendly and eager to please. We shared a scallop roll and soft shell crab sandwich which were perfectly prepared. The cole slaw, fries and fried rice were delicious! Finished off the meal with a homemade crème brûlée cheesecake topped with monster blueberries. Please give this place a try. You'll love every bite!

Owner rude, food overpriced. Advertised as fresh but lobster was frozen and for the price the portions were small. There is no ambiance.

Located in a strip mall with ample parking. Large menu with lots of choices and items I'd not heard of before. Had the chicken curry puffs for our apps- pretty good but a bit too fried for my personal taste. Lots of soup choices but declined ordering any as I knew it would fill me up. Hubby and I shared drunken noodles with chicken, which was good. We also ordered yellow curry with chicken, which was filled with veggies ( yay!), although there were several other choices that I was tempted to order. Service was good. They tag teamed and were attentive. The meal went quickly but we never felt rushed. Will return when in town for another game.

Two absolute standouts for me are the pineapple fried rice and the caterpillar roll. The pineapple fried rice is perfectly balanced with a little sweetness, savory flavor, and generous portions, while the caterpillar roll is fresh, creamy, and just melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff always make you feel taken care of. Whether you're going for a casual dinner or a sushi night treat, this place consistently delivers. If you're looking for fresh sushi and standout dishes beyond just rolls, this spot is easily five stars.

We had not had the chance to have a Thai meal in Miami yet, so this was a mutual top choice. It was only about 3 blocks from the Art Deco Welcome Center, so we made the short walk there. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full when we arrived (this was on a Thursday). We got a seat right away. The waiter was somewhat chatty in a helpful way. He at one point did note that all the area restaurants, including this one, tended to add an 18 - 20% 'service fee' to the meal, before any optional tip. I was at least glad that they acknowledged this here. My wife opted for a vegetable dish and I got Panang curry. The food was tasty and fresh. I might have had a bit leftover, but I was hungry after a light breakfast. My wife did have some extra, which we took with us. Prices were a bit higher here, but in line with what you see throughout Miami Beach (from what I could tell). This is perfectly fine option for Thai food in South Beach.

It wasn't quite the ambiance we were seeking for a Saturday night family dinner, but the food made up for it. We ordered edamame and gyoza appetizers, both of which were tasty, though the edamame could have used a bit more salt. For the main courses: The portions were large, so they are shareable, and the prices were reasonable. One daughter ordered pho w rice noodles and chicken. It was light, but nicely seasoned. The other daughter ordered the Tropical Dragon roll. It was large, fresh, unique and full of flavor. She loved it! Hubby and I ordered two dishes to share: Exotic Eggplant (added Pork), It was slightly spicy, but delicious. The only was that the eggplant skin was tough. Usually Asian eggplant skin (when cooked is soft and edible. This was tough and chewy, so we had to spit it out. Low Mein w Chicken-- also delicious and not greasy. Overall we really enjoyed it and would certainly go back, but most likely for takeout or for a more casual meal out.
