    Seafood medley

We were visiting from out of state and found this place on Yelp. The food is amazing and fresh and the service was great. Nice size portions and very tasty.

An overall good experience. I'll start by saying, my husband and I wished to give 4.5 stars so we resolved that he would give 5 and I'm giving 4. I got the cod fish and chips. My husband got the pineapple chicken sandwich and the frog and chips. The presentation on these plates was very satisfactory, and mixed with the atmosphere, may have even made the food taste better. We enjoyed everything a good bit, but found that everything had a similar flavor, maybe because the same oil was used to fry everything? We don't know. The fish and chips weren't the best I'd ever have. The fish itself was good, although for the price at $19, I found it lacking in substance and in quality a bit. The breading was a bit dry and too crispy on bits, as well. The skin was too crunchy. The fries were very crispy and hard to stop eating, and they were good! The frog legs were the highlight. Juicy and tasty, and certainly a fun item to pick on our date night. I had never tried frog legs and enjoyed them possibly more than the fish and chips! My husband's sandwich was good, but very messy, he noted. Overall, the experience was good. What really made it for us was the atmosphere. We loved the murals and decor. It was classic Florida but not the overused beach decor with the same tan and shade of blue that I usually see. Colorful purple and blue and orange - beachy in a very fun and vibrant way. It was neat to see a place serving gator, frog legs, and other cool things. We talked to the owner, who was a very pleasant man. Our server was a very nice guy as well, and never left us feeling awkward or as if we were asking too much. Everyone was polite. There was a calm and cool atmosphere here. We thought it very nice, the menu variety including Thai cuisine as well as seafood and classic Florida dishes. Overall we had a lovely date here. For the price, it's not a place we'll likely go back to, but as a special occasion date night, we surely enjoyed our experience here! Bathrooms were clean. People were nice. Food was good. Atmosphere was lovely. Comfortable chairs.

St. Lucie Platter - Fried Colossal Shrimp & Aligator, Fries, and Coleslaw

I stopped close to even they opened on a weekday in order to beat the crowd. There is a bar or tables you can choose to sit at. The ambiance is very Florida, so it's true to the restaurant name. I immediately noticed the gigantic octopus mural on the right side of the restaurant after I sat down at my table. My photo does not do it justice, but it paired nicely with the fish and aligator decor. My stomach was set on trying their aligator and I was told by the male owner that their aligator is sourced from a county close by and comes in fresh. I was curious about how big their shrimp were as well so I ordered the St. Lucie Platter. The texture of the aligator was just right, not chewy at all. The shrimp were huge and the batter was nice and flaky with a crunch. The coleslaw was refreshing to have between the shrimp, aligator, and bites of fries. I wish the portion of the coleslaw was larger (considered how much fried food there was) but it is a lot of food already, so not a big deal. I thoroughly enjoyed my entrée and wanted to explore a bit more of their menu so I asked about desserts. My waitress showed me their two desserts options - Florida Key Lime Pie and a Cheesecake Brûlée with Blueberries. I decided on the blueberry cheesecake at the recommendation of my waitress and it did not disappoint. The sweet torched soft but dense cheesecake was simply decadent. I will be back to try more!

Been here several times and always Enjoyed the food and conversation. Owner is super nice as is the staff. However, something seemed off compared to usual. Seafood was chewy, not as fresh - was it frozen? The menu was paired way down, and some of our favorites were not an option anymore. For mostly empty place, it was almost an hour for our food to be served. I don't mind a wait for good food, but it was very mediocre. It was so good when We first started coming here - our treat. Unfortunately, we may not be retuning for a while. Very sad!

Super good food, great staff! Super fun menu! Chill atmosphere, I love the mural . Well lit and clean, with the tall ceiling. A great bar for extra seating They keep up with the bathroom cleaning. I loved my pineapple chicken sandwich! It was HUGE so glad to see Somebody isn't skimping these days... the batter tasted good, but it does taste like they use the same oil for everything, sandwich a little fishy. I really hope they put iguana on the menu soon! Next time I'll get Gator or one of the delicious sounding Thai dishes.

Hidden gem- excellent experience. We went this evening for a late dinner - casual dining with eclectic menu choices and great service. The food was fresh, great sauces and nice presentation. We had gator bites - cooked well, tender and light batter. The curry sauce on the potstickers was amazing. Grouper sandwich and shrimp pad Thai were also very good. Excited to return and try other things on this very "varied " menu. Highly recommend.

Ate at this delightful, locally owned restaurant and enjoyed every bite. The owner and staff are so friendly and eager to please. We shared a scallop roll and soft shell crab sandwich which were perfectly prepared. The cole slaw, fries and fried rice were delicious! Finished off the meal with a homemade crème brûlée cheesecake topped with monster blueberries. Please give this place a try. You'll love every bite!

I have passed this place numerous time and never stopped in till tonight. I pulled up into the parking lot. It was pretty full, so I parked off to the side. Walked up to the front entrance, love the Christmas decorations, nice and bright. I walked in hoping I could find a seat with all the cars in the parking lot. There were 8 people in the dining area, so I had plenary of seats to pick from. I sat at the bar, looking around at the sea life theme of the place. The server came over with the menu and got my drink order. I looked over the menu, saw some interesting items on it. Not quite sure what I wanted. So I decided to get their crispy chicken, garlic fried rice with a spicy sauce. I also was curious about the cranberry coke slaw, so I ordered a small side of that. I guess the food was made to order cause it took a good while for it to come out. The good thing is that everything was hot. I tried a piece of the chicken, nice flavor, the batter was the right amount to not over take the chicken. I dove into the cran cole Shaw. It had great flavor, it was a sweet Cole Shaw and the cranberries add a nice fruity flavor. I poured the spices sauce over the rice and chicken. I need more to coat both of them, I had to ask twice for more cause they were tight on the sauce. I mixed it all together like a rice bowl. It had nice flavor, I might try something else with the crispy chicken next time.

The way the food is cooked here immediately transports me to my childhood home, with mom cooking, yelling at us kids to stop lifting the lids off the pots. This food is phenomenal. The rice and beans, platanitos, tostones, all have such a flavor, and that special ingredient that only a mother has, love. I had the tostones, the wife had bistec empanizado and we took the croqueta sandwich home. Man o man, I dont think I've ever finished ameal without taking a to go container with me. The service is excellent, food is 10 stars! I genuinely feel as if I was in a family members home for lunch or dinner, not in a restaurant. This place should be on a tv show somewhere. Everything was house made and according to the server, it was grandma's recipes. In fact, the entire family was working last night so please come support this small business. The only recommendations I have is to minimize the number of small plates on the main entrées. Your dishwasher will thank you. The ropa vieja was well seasoned, but it lacked the tomato sauce.

We started out with a chocolate martini & a Whispering Angel Rose. Both were refreshing and very celebratory for my friends birthday. Since it was lunch, we went straight to entrees. My husband had the Strawberry Field salad with shrimp. Beautifully crisp and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly even if the salad should have had less dressing. The birthday girl had the short rib grilled cheese which looked exactly like the pictures. She managed to eat the whole thing. I had the steamed clams. The presentation was totally unexpected. It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

It ended up being a great find! The restaurant is spacious with huge windows overlooking the water, which I absolutely loved. It was much too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from an inside table. We decided to split the steamed clams (without the sausage) and a lobster bisque for lunch. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The clams were served inside a bread-like pastry. My husband especially enjoyed that part, while I skipped the bread and dug right into the clams--they were fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and just as good. One unexpected bit of entertainment came from the couple seated next to us. It sounded like they were on a first date, and while I certainly wasn't trying to eavesdrop, they were talking so loudly it was impossible not to overhear! They seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it added a lighthearted touch to our lunch. Hope springs eternal! Overall, I was very happy with both our meal and the beautiful waterfront setting. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we're passing through Stuart. The only thing that gave me pause was the dinner menu, which looked a bit pricey, but for lunch this was a very enjoyable stop. You don't need a reservation for lunch so that was a plus. Sometimes you just want to go with the flow, and that is just what we did!
