It sucks getting locked out of your place. I looked up a few locksmiths and called two before calling Good Lock. Good Lock was the first number I called who answered the phone. I gave them my address, they said 20-30 minutes, and made it well within that time. It took all of 5 minutes to get the door open, then another 10 or so to "fix" the lock... I assume this is what was happening, since they sort of forced the door knob out of its enclosure. They also accepted the Yelp discount without having purchased it ahead of time. All-in-all, my mistake cost me $85, but the service exceeded my expectations. read more

Recently had to re-key my employer's new home... and it was a JOB FROM HELL!!! Tal was incredible. There were so many doors to do that I actually missed a few on our walk-thru. I called for to have a lock opened in an emergency after hours. The initial person I spoke to was great and said he would have someone out right away. 15 minutes later I received a call from a man who said he was referred to come open the lock. He quoted me $75-100 to pop the lock and or change both locks in my home. Upon arrival the locksmith stated he couldn't open the lock and would have to break the lock. He proceeded to destroy my door knob and make a mess of metal shards. Once open I had no choice but to purchase a new door knob. Once installed I noticed the lock appeared to be inferior. Like it belonged on a bedroom door not a front door. So now I will have to pay for another door knob, as the current one does not seem secure and have the locks changed to match one key as required by my apartment manager. The "locksmith" took cash and did not provide a receipt. He was solely concerned with making money off of my misfortune. As an RN it sickens me to think people are just that greedy. Luckily it's only a door knob and the other locks are secure in my home. The very next morning Tal called and insisted on making things right. He demonstrated the integrity I was hoping to receive. I will definitely recommend this business in the future because the sub contracted individual was a first and last time referral. read more
