I lovedddd the outdoor seating and games, lots of things to do for children. I loved the sampling and all the beer options. Pizza did come out on a paper plate, the garlic bread was not cheesy enough, the wings are okay. Food didn't wow me, but the beer and the ambiance definitely did. The bathrooms were clean and had bible verses on the walls which I loved. Absolutely love the message and logo of the place, good news is awesome and Jesus is the best news! Service was great.

This is the second location we have visited and love it! The company history and story of how it got started is refreshing. This location has a great play area outside and lots of seating. Service is quick and friendly. Nice that they have the buzzers to tell you when the food is ready. Cool vibe with the music and simple decor. Wish we had one closer to us in Kirkwood!

NEW (3mo.) GN brewery location - same great crafts and wood fired pizzas! Casual and family (and pet) friendly environment with both indoor or outdoor seating; location is set-up with small stage outdoors for additional entertainment, events and games. Overall, 4.5 experience for smiling staff service, good food and beer, new and clean location, relaxed place to visit, eat and drink. A few App offerings for under $9 and Pizzas $14-16 each. Locally brewed crafts $7/pint, or they have 4oz flight size tasters as well, plus few other adult and child beverages. Today we came at HH for a couple cold Local 636 Hazy IPA's and also tried the Perfect Storm Pale Ale. Both were excellent and easy to drink! The 636 is definitely one of my faves on the Hazy IPA's list around STL breweries! Additionally, we ordered a Vampire Deathwish Pizza with Garlic Sauce, Spinach, Feta and Mozzarella - YUM! Plenty of other specialty pizzas or build your own available. I'd say these are personal size (~6-7 slices) and great to share a couple different types - tasty and fresh! Hope you get out to the new GN brewery in Wildwood. I'll be back soon. Cheers, ENJOY!!

I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband is! I had seen things posted on Facebook about this place and thought we might enjoy checking it out. We had not been to any other locations. There is a lot of parking available. The outside area is fairly large and it's really pretty out there. Bocce and corn hole/bags are set up near the building. There are some picnic tables and faux Adirondack chairs scattered around. Beware - I saw some wasps going into holes in the chairs! There's a stage for live music, but there wasn't any when we were there. Drinks and food are ordered inside at a counter. In addition to beer, they have soft drinks and a few cocktails. We didn't think any of the staff members we interacted with were friendly at all. They weren't rude, but no smiles, no do you have any questions about the beers offered, etc. They were very matter of fact and just doing their jobs and nothing more. The cocktails weren't appealing to me so I just had a soft drink. My husband first tried the stout and said it wasn't very good. He then had the hazy IPA and said it was good and very refreshing. We decided to order a pizza. We chose the pineapple and jalapeño and added bacon. The pizza was $15 and literally fit on a paper plate. I know this because that's what it was served on. The $15 did not include bacon. I'm not sure what the up charge was for the bacon, but I'm guessing it was too much for what we got. There weren't pieces of bacon on it, but some bacon bits and not very many of them. A picture of the pizza is included, but we had a few pieces before I remembered to take it! Also, inside has picnic tables and high top tables for seating. The setting was the best thing about our visit! We won't be going back.

I met here with members of a local running group for one of their periodic pub runs. It was extremely cold when I got there, despite having been nearly 90 degrees out the day before. Several members of our group stood in the doorway, preventing other patrons from entering and exiting. Modern's staff deserves credit for not complaining or forcing them to leave. They may have sensed that this wasn't the local unhoused population. Only employed people run recreationally, despite having relatively little free time. I see this place all the time, from my car on the adjacent highway, on my way back to civilization, but I'd never had the occasion to stop by. Perhaps I'd be a regular if I attended the nearby community college. But if I could afford to eat here, why would I be attending community college? The beer will set you back. I would have been fine with a 32 oz can of Miller High Life, but when in Rome. There's an extensive selection of beers on tap, and probably even more in cans and bottles. I'm no connoisseur, and I don't have that kind of time, so I went with something called Silent Gs, or something to that effect. I justified it, in part, by telling myself that its name is a reference to the Lil Wayne bar adored by people who started listening to rap music in 2003. I paid $7.50-ish for a not particularly large serving, but damn it if it wasn't pretty good. I appreciate it anytime one of these higher gravity pale ales doesn't taste like it was sourced from a trough-style urinal at a circa '83 ballpark. A couple of girls from the aforementioned run group mentioned that this place carries a brussels spouts salad. I don't eat salad, because I'm a guy, but these girls are certified baddies, and I succumbed to the peer pressure. I attempted to mitigate the impact on my reputation by also ordering a slice of pepperoni pizza. I'm gonna have to have a difficult meeting with my accountant, as a result, but it was worth it. The entree serving of the salad would have been enough food, even without the pizza. It's enough vegetables that it's actually kinda obnoxious, like they're trolling you. Who do they think I am, a damn cow? Part of that may have been the brussels sprouts. They help give the salad a surprising heft, for something that doesn't have any meat in it, and help make up for the lack of bacon, which I generally require with brussels sprouts. The candied walnuts, which I thought might be croutons, were another delightful surprise and complemented the tang of the pickled red onions. The pizza came topped with an oddly precise-looking quantity and arrangement of pepperonis, like they might have Russell Crowe from the movie A Beautiful Mind working in the kitchen. It's not like at Domino's, where they just toss them on there and they might not even be on half the pizza. I guess they have to do that when they sell it by the slice. You'd be upset if you didn't get enough of them, because they're delicious. They're the kind that curl up into little cups filled with disgustingly unhealthy and yet delicious oil. I wonder if that's also because they serve it by the slice and hence have to reheat it. That may have resulted in the end of the crust suffering from a bit of Popeyes biscuit-like dryness, but what are you going to do. Then again, that may have been a purposeful attempt to get you to purchase more expensive beer. Everything else here was so well executed, it's hard to imagine this wasn't intentional on their part.

We did not want to argue with this man any further, as his attitude and lack of knowledge was already frustrating enough. The Manager on duty turned on the lights in the room, and then had the audacity to leave the room, while my boyfriend was left taking chairs off the table so we would have a place to sit. We stayed for about 45-minutes, ordered food and had a beer. Prior to us leaving my boyfriend's mom (who frequents this place and even helped them stay open during COVID with purchases and donations) went to have a conversation with the Manager to help clear things up and educate him a bit... he responded to her with, "There are no exceptions, a dog is a dog." To the owners of Third Wheel Brewing: I am truly saddened and disappointed in the lack of empathy, education, and understanding of individuals who need accommodations, and use service animals. I would HIGHLY recommend you provide additional education and training to your staff about ADA regulations, and the treatment of patrons in relation to such. While at times, certain accommodations are acceptable, this one was isolating and intentionally exclusionary. Please do better.
