I randomly stumbled into this coffee shop when I was walking by the other day. I ordered myself a lavender latte which usually I find barely taste like lavender but this one was amazing. I also ordered the breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious. I took my time ordering as I was also ordering from my friend and the gentleman who helped me at the front counter was so nice even though I was taking my sweet time. The overall vibes for the place were super cute. There were so many plants and so many people just hanging around. It's definitely a place. I'll have to come back to. read more

I ordered a single shot of espresso and the breakfast sandwich (without bacon). The espresso was a bit on the buttery side and the sandwich was tasty. They use Gusto Bread for the bun which is great to see them utilizing another Long Beach business. Service was pretty quick considering there was a steady stream of people. Lots of tables inside and a fair number outside as well. This is more of a collaborative place so wouldn't expect to go there for some quiet work space. They had background music that was a bit on the loud side if you're trying to work, but the outdoor seating was surprisingly quieter and more peaceful. read more

first of all this coffee shop is probably the cutest one I've ever been in! They have a really nice layout with a lot of plants and cute decorations everywhere! I let them know that it was my first time there and that I like sweet drinks and they suggested the brown sugar pumpkin spice latte! It was really really good! I saw that they have breakfast menu items which I really regret not getting, but I will definitely be back to try it! read more

Great place to work from. Good WiFi, tons of outlets, nicely lit with a lot of natural light and lots of seats street parking wasn't too much of a hassle. Got an oat milk latte that was fine. I will be returning to try other things on the menu, as it's such a great space to work out of. read more

We wanted to love it here-coffee, plants for sale and a clothing exchange/donation spot. The aesthetic is great. The drinks are well made-we had the champurrado latte and mocha chai--both beautiful. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches--what I appreciate is that each is made to order; what's a little more challenging is that it comes at a cost: time. We waited at least twenty minutes for our sandwiches, definitely not what we were expecting. It probably would've been fine if we were from the neighborhood, here to meet up with friends to hang out and catch up; the cafe is clearly a part of this community as we observed friends from around the area running in to each other here. The sandwiches themselves were tasty but not remarkable--simple and maybe a little overpriced. read more

Cute little hipster spot..perhaps full of college students. Decent coffee, decent service but VERY loud music over the speakers. Can't really have a conversation or take calls inside cause of the LOUD music. I had my headphones in and still could hear the music over my stuff. Sadly this is not a BAR. read more

Came on Sunday around 11. You order then find seating inside or outside. Inside is cool, they have items for purchase from plants, art, and other random fun things. The drinks were very good and so was my breakfast sandwich (yoke popped, which I personally love). My wife ordered a breakfast burrito, tortilla was slightly burned, but overall tasty! Staff is super friendly too! All around great vibes. read more

Food: I got their iced mocha, which was really light if you're into that kind of coffee. I also got their chorizo breakfast burrito, which was delicious (although they use fried eggs, while I prefer scrambled in my burritos). My only reservation is with the prices; I did not feel that either item was worth what I was charged. Ambiance: They have a very chill, garden vibe that is perfect for studying or chatting. There is plenty of seating! Service: They were all kind and very fast with the mocha! I was pretty satisfied with everything, but still hesitant to return simply because of the price. read more

I wish they had a bigger selection of pastries. I got there at around 11 and their case was pretty bare. Usually my go-to stop in Long Beach for coffee because it's super convenient to get to, but parking can be tough!

I received a notification that my review was taken down. The owner will probably respond to this and try to protect their image and business. Fair, right? yes it is. However, I cannot be shut down. My voice is valid, and it needs to be heard and shared with community members. Those who travel miles away for mediocrity. The service needs tremendous improvement. I have been mistreated, and received awful service. I visited early morning with my partner to have a matcha drink before heading into work a few years back. Ordered their infamous lavander matcha drink. The matcha drink was overly milky, and lacked matcha. I worked as a barista for 4 years and I am a tea expert. I definitely know good coffee, and bad coffee. Good Tea and bad tea. I asked if the barista could remake it, and I was given the worst attitude in the world. Whatever, drank my green milk and left. 7 bucks btw each drink. Not only did it occur 1x, it occurred several times. The only reason I returned the last time, was because my friend wanted to try their dry burritos based off Tik tok. I knew that was a bad idea, but being a supportive friend I agreed. She orders a burrito under name, and I stood up to grab her food. Because it was under her name , and not mine . I was accused of stealing her food and was berated in front of the paying customers. Ya, that was embarrassing and this continues to happen to other people that I have met. There is heavy discrimination that occurs here. This place is not genuine, it's performative. It's a cult that exist in the heart of Long Beach. There's this notion that the owners are trying to build community in the neighborhood of Zaferia but instead are gentrifying and causing natives to be displaced. Read the reviews, they are true. Carefully read the other reviews, and you will start collecting trends. If you are POC beware. This place is not for you. I gave this place a fair chance, because of who actually owns this place and their place in my neighborhood. Please believe the reviews of this place being mediocre, because it genuinely is. I was under the impression that this was a Latin(e) owned and trans owned coffee shop. In which is why I supported the cause, but that's clearly cap. Also, I do not want my money back. I want you to be fair with your customer base. Stop overcharging for food and beverages, and do not become upset when the customers are not satisfied with your underperformed hospitality. read more

I am so thankful for Good Time. I started grabbing coffee and burritos there about 3 years ago. Honestly what kept me coming back at first was the Espresso Tonic. I was obsessed. Then I found out you can bring dogs and actually everyone that works there loves to see them. And turns out my dog also happened to love Good Time. Then I started getting to know the staff and the regulars because, turns out, it's a great place to work from. Then when I was going through a rough time, they offered me a job. And, turns out, everyone that works there really is as great as it seems from the outside. Good Time offers great coffee and great burritos, but the community they create is really what it's about. The care they put into their staff is a ripple effect into the drinks, the food, and the customer experience. The events are fun and welcoming. They support great causes and genuinely care about everyone. I am so thankful Good Time exists and if you are still reading, go give them a try. read more

I used to be a regular here and always loved how welcoming the baristas were. They'd greet me by name and make me feel at home. Unfortunately, the culture of this place has completely changed. On my last visit, the woman at the counter was unwelcoming and dismissive. When I asked a question, she didn't respond, just pointed at the menu. I also used to work from here often, but the environment has become uncomfortable. The music was blasting so loudly (Justin Bieber on repeat) that even with my headphones at full volume, I couldn't focus. The coffee, which used to be excellent, now feels just average. It's disappointing to see the quality of the service, product, and overall atmosphere decline so much. I've started exploring other coffee shops and cafes around Long Beach, and it's clear to me that Good Time's peak has passed. I visited Good Time over the weekend and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. While the service was fast, it left a lot to be desired. The cashier had an unwelcoming attitude, which wasn't the best first impression -- though I tried to overlook it. I ordered the breakfast burrito and was really let down. It was mostly old, dry potato cubes with a bit of egg, and while I did ask for no cheese, other listed ingredients were missing. When I asked about it, I was told they no longer include those ingredients -- despite them still being on the menu. That felt misleading. On a positive note, the young lady who helped me afterward was kind and tried to be helpful, but the overall vibe and quality just weren't there. We used to love this shop every time we visited Long Beach. The coffee was great and the breakfast tacos were amazing. The unique vibe of the attached plant store added to the charm. However, on our last visit, we were disappointed to find that the plant store had been replaced with additional seating. The breakfast tacos weren't the same as we remembered and we couldn't quite put our finger on what was different. The coffee is still great though. One thing to keep in mind if you park on the street: there is a twig-looking tree across the street with a wasp nest in it, so it's best to avoid parking there. I visited this coffee shop for the first time this weekend and really enjoyed it! I ordered a hot hazelnut coffee and it was good- smooth, warm, and just the right amount of flavor. The atmosphere was really nice too. I loved all the plants inside the shop. It gave the space a cozy, calming vibe. I also tried their breakfast burrito and it was delicious. I asked for an extra egg, and the blend of potatoes, eggs, avocado, and cheese was perfect. Super satisfying without feeling heavy. Overall, I'd definitely come back again. This coffee shop is one of my favorite spots! The vibes are always amazing...warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The coffee is consistently great, and they have a fantastic selection of drinks, wines and pastries. One of the best parts is the cute flea market they have on Saturdays. Might well be the coolest *vibe* coffee shop in Long Beach. Funny enough, every time I happened to be in the immediate area, it just happened to be during a Sunday morning "listening session", so I had thought that meant they only play interesting records from their collection on Sunday morning, which is, as it turns out, entirely inaccurate: they are *always* playing records from their large collection of interesting records, just that most Sunday mornings, they do a specially-curated "listening session" where they briefly talk about their selections, then bring up the volume a little and ask people to be quieter, to enjoy the music. Which is pretty neat! I should really go to those more often, instead of just by accident each time. Unusually, they really focus entirely on class drinks, they don't have any zany personalized fancy lattes on their core menu, which I'm totally fine with - their espresso is entirely worth drinking on their own. I'm also very happy with their pastry selection, which they get from Colossus - their brownies are very good, *very* affordable, and go spectacularly with espresso, so that's a draw in and of itself. The only thing I couldn't get quite as much behind - I was so excited when they announced a couple months ago that they'd just started a new brunch menu, to include breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos are bomb, something restaurants in California haven't really seemed to have caught onto, so I went there immediately to try them. Anyway, they're pretty tasty, but not *extraordinary*, and for $9, they aren't particularly large. It's also not a very large space, either so it's a lot easier finding a comfortable seat to quickly drink a coffee with a bit of brownie, than it was that time, finding a comfortable spot to eat a proper meal. Given I was eating a proper meal, though, I did also try their green iced tea to go with it, which I can confirm is also delicious, super refreshing, and was at the time, a very reasonable $3.50. Went great with the tacos, for sure, though I don't think I'd go back for either of them. I would definitely stop by for coffee and a brownie any time I was in the area, though, and I really *should* remember to intentionally make it to more of their Sunday morning sessions.
