This is the second time this place has scammed me out of money. I go in, place my order, pay with a card, don't leave a tip, go home and then 1 to 3 days later, I get a message from my bank showing they added an extra transaction to my sale. It's been 1 year and 3 months since I last ate here. I thought I'd give them a second chance but nope, same scam. Now I have to dig through my trash to find the receipt so I can go pay them a visit. Last time this happened, I think it was March 2024. The manager or owner whoever it was told me there's a password on the card terminal that only he can access to re-process sales and that he "accidentally hit a button" that caused it. I call BS. My gut says: never come back here. Once I find the receipt, I'll post a photo showing no tip. If the owner tries to show a receipt with a tip added, then they forged it and I'll demand to see the CCTV footage of me signing that receipt. How does this keep happening to me? The lady at the register said they haven't seen the owner in weeks. She told me I could take cash on the spot or wait for him. I was like, "Weeks? Yeah, no. I'm not waiting weeks for my $2.18 back." I didn't need to play the long game with the bank which can take months or sue for $2 (which, ironically, could later cost the owner hundreds of thousands in court and recovery fees... plus the $2). And yes, I'm that petty. If you know your card terminal is doing this, and you didn't even argue when I mentioned being overcharged then why haven't you changed your terminal or processor in the 1 year and 3 months since it last happened? It's as if you're the one doing it. Trying to quietly score an extra couple bucks per customer. Some might say, "It's just $2, let it go." But if they're doing this to every customer, all day, every day? That adds up. This drive-in has been here in Lindsay forever. The current owner has paid tribute to the origins of the place while expanding the menu. My wife says it's the best patty melt in the central valley, I love the Ortega burger. The fries are seasoned perfectly. The menu is so big that we haven't even come close to exploring everything, partly because our favorites are so good . Get off Highway 65 and head down Hermosa to the roundabout and treat yourself. I am OBSESSED with their chicken sandwich oh my gosh. I really want to try their Avocado Burger, but I prefer chicken sandwiches so I always end up caving and getting the usual. Fries are always crispy and well-seasoned, and they don't skimp on the toppings. Overall a great quick eat in Lindsay, and I do recommend calling in and ordering ahead of time if you're on the lunch hour! The restaurant can get a bit hot in the summer, but they also have soft serve ice cream! I've heard their Philly cheesesteak fries are good too, so I need to try those, too. I had the worst experience with the owner of this restaurant. I have been living here a few years in this town and there's not many places to go eat. We usually go into Bobs and for the most part it's decent but recently within the same month I've had an issue with my food. I had to take back the food the last time because it was so sloppily put together, which was not something that Bobs usually does they went ahead and exchange the food for me the second time and it was made right. Tonight me and the boys went to go get some food and we made an order over the phone. My son and I were sitting there making an order and we expressed exactly what we wanted. Michael wanted no tomatoes on his and I wanted no lettuce and no onions So we get to the house and we are passing out the hamburgers and I open up my hamburger and there is onions and pickles. They didn't put the lettuce but the onions were on my burger so I called up because I either wanted my money back or new food . I live out in the country so I have to go into town and I did not wanna go back into town? I would've rather him just give me a credit for another meal or return my money. One of the two. He stated to me that he had taken the order himself and that it was right and he repeated the order and he was correct. He did take it down right that doesn't mean it was cooked right the hamburger had onions all over it and had been sitting like that . So the flavor was on the meat and I absolutely detest onions on my hamburger Instead of giving me an option to either get my money back or get another meal at another time, he started telling me that he knew for a fact that he had done the hamburgers right and the hamburger was not done right I asked him if he wanted me to take a picture of it so I could send it to him and I explained to him, the hamburger my son had didn't have any onions so what happened was they took the onions and instead of putting them on his hamburger they put it on mine He was still very argumentative and I was getting very annoyed with him and I explained that this was not good business. I've worked in a service industry before and this isn't a hard job. It's not difficult. You just gotta double check everything before it goes out. Well, apparently he didn't like this statement And he was rude. He stated that there was no way to give a refund. He didn't give money back and that if I wanted another meal, I had to go back right then in there, but this time I didn't want his food or anything else from this place he told me that if Michael Wanted to make an order that maybe we should just walk in and make an order because he couldn't understand my son, he stated to me that maybe I should be the one making the orders and I told him well. What if my son wants something to eat and I'm not here he said well then maybe you can just walk in he doesn't realize that my son does not drive and we live almost 3 miles away from this location. The man was very rude and this business is slowly going from something that was absolutely great to something absolutely stinks and it's the attitude of the owner. He made it a point to tell me he was the owner. He hung up on me and I called back but he did not answer the phone and he said he didn't want me to go back over there at all so there was no way for me to get my money back or my food so it's going in the trash cause I'm not eating this so basically Bobs In this particular case is a thief because you took my money made my food wrong and I could not eat it and you hung up on me and you refused to give me service or my sons for that matter I don't know how you do business with other people, but I know that the way you did business with us was completely unacceptable and from here on out, I will always and forever think bobs is trash . read more

Growing up in Lindsay from the 60s & up, I am very disappointed on the quality of Bob's Drive-in. I left Lindsay in 83 and come back only to visit family. I bought me a strawberry shake from Bob's and realized that they can't even use strawberries to add to the shake, instead, used strawberry syrup, which taste horrible. I originally ordered a pineapple shake but, they no longer had that either. They downloaded their nice size styrofoam large to a smaller see through cup and increased the price. The reason for my two star is out of being nice. They actually deserve a minus one star. Their burger was, what I consider, only 10% meat and the rest was bread, tomato, lettuce, and a few other items. Sorry to say I will no longer be going back. I miss the old Bob's Drive-in. read more

I was looking forward to having there turkey wrap combo, and I normally look in my bag and make sure everything is correct but this time I didn't (my bad) I get home and there's a Turkey Club Sandwich with bacon and onion which I hate, the fries were cold like they had been sitting. It reminds me of a old school diner they serve burgers, chicken, shakes, and ice cream. The burgers are really good along with their chicken. I've personally never have had their ice cream but I can tell you the shakes are really good. Very very RUDE young lady working there tonight as a cashier. Makes one wonder if she is getting paid to work there or if she is there by force. I also had one of their milkshakes and it was a perfect mix of milk and ice cream. Their food is great, their service is exceptional, and it takes about 5-10 minutes to get the food out. I had the San Joaquin Burger and it was the most delicious burger I had in a long time.They were very generous and put a lot of pastrami on top of the patty. Honestly this place is extremely average. A lot of the food is typical frozen foods heated up and served. The service is very spotty and often bordering on rude. There are a couple of hidden gems on the menu like the chicken fried steak sandwich and milkshakes but very little to bring me here often. read more
