Reviewing for the cafe aspect since for a long time we just thought this was a bike shop. It's definitely Cap Hill's best kept breakfast secret - delicious (and affordable!) breakfast tacos, coffee and they have Seawolf baked goods now, including their sourdough loaves which are to DIE for. This is quickly becoming our go-to quick breakfast on the weekends spot because they have that nice courtyard area out back to eat by the fire and hang out. Staff is great too. Only downside for me is that they don't serve lattes/espresso drinks - just drip coffee. read more

I brought my brand new bike in for a tune-up. The bike has disc brakes which I am not familiar with, and I just generally thought it was a good idea for a bike mechanic to look it over. The owner, Jason, took a look and told me he didn't feel right about taking my money because there was nothing that needed doing. He then took 15 minutes or so to teach me about my new bike, and what to look for as far as future maintenance needs. I will be taking this bike and all future bikes back to Good Weather!! read more

Great little bike shop/coffee/bar/bodega. Good selection of beers and coffee drinks, all made quite well. They have this amazing little patio out front where you can sit and drink your beverage. I can't speak to the bike services but the shop was full of bikes and competent looking mechanics. Their bike apparel is super dope though. A very Seattle spot! read more

started this review in December, but paused submitting it until I witnessed another situation where staff are completely incapable of handling situations where conflict and customer service collide. === December 16, 2022 === We've loved coming to Good Weather for coffee and the amazing breakfast tacos many times for the past year. Sitting in the courtyard has a great community feel. Today while in line to order, a woman and her young Wire Hair Pointer were in front of me. I said hello to the beautiful puppy and gave it a good overall buddy rub scratch to its delight. About a minute or two later, after no further interaction, as the dog owner was ordering her coffees, and while both of my hands were buried in my pockets trying to keep warm, the dog leapt up both paws, pawing and scratching for love from my chest to my waist, pushing me. A 180 lbs 5'11" guy backwards. "Oh?!?" was all the dog owner said while the barista watched on. I was dumb-founded. No apology? Or an explanation perhaps that the dog was a puppy, or perhaps even jest "that's what you get when give such good puppy rubs"? After the woman and dog walked a few feet to the left to wait for their drinks, it was my turn to order. Not a word from the barista who had witnessed it all. So I asked.. "Are you not going to say anything to the dog owner about controlling their pet so it's not jumping on people?" A dumb look was all she could muster. Not a single word was said through my entire breakfast order. So, expect great breakfast tacos and coffees.... but the staff, at least this day, was every bit as daft as their partied-out face indicated and didn't have a single inkling as to how to deal with situations more complex than counting out change from a cash register that only accepts credit cards. read more

Hidden away in a small cute cove, this shop had quick service, nice and passionate mechanic, fixed issues on my bike (without prompting) that multiple bike shops before had not solved, and good price. Where to start with this 5-star review :) How about the great people who run this place! Such a fun group, great to stop in and have a chat with, they are a central part of the community hosting bike rides, knitting, all kinds of great stuff. Bike shop: Couldn't ask for more in service, timeliness, expertise... have brought my bike there several times for a mix of repairs and it always comes out riding like new! Cafe... Breakfast tacos!! We are here visiting from L.A., participating in the RNR. This cyclist friendly coffee shop had some delicious eats. We got the French toast and the Avocado toast and eggs with some coffee to wash it down. Let me tell you, the French toast was the best I've ever had! It surprisingly had a slice of cheese with the right amount of syrup and powdered sugar. I can't forget to add the fresh strawberries and blueberries . The avo toast was good it had a bit too much seasoning for my taste but my fiancé loved it with a fried egg on top. The cherry on top of this gem is the friendly staff. read more

Y'all. I had my bike tire stolen. I called up Goodweather and they immediately cured my woes. I walked my bike the half mile to the cutest bike shop with books and cocktails and a baller atmosphere. The owner greeted me at the door and put a tire on my bike within my price range (which was "cheap as possible"). It was the most incredible customer service I've seen! Plus Lindy West was there! Helped me replace a tire on my bike in no time and went above and beyond to help get me a replacement via the manufacturer (since it was a relatively new tire that had formed a bubble). This is my favorite bike shop! The staff here is friendly and very knowledgeable, and I love that they are eager to explain the small details when working on my bike. I'm new to cycling, and coming here is like getting an education on bike mechanics. I've come here for tune-ups to my derailleurs and disc brakes and to install new clip-in pedals. My girlfriend has had most of her bike reconstructed and replaced here. Their repair and tune-ups, as well as the few accessories they sell, are priced very reasonably, and the bikes always work better than new after I leave. Also, they're very fast and can often do small jobs while you hang out and have their amazing spiced coffee. I always feel like I got way more than I paid for! read more

I needed a bike helmet I had found online and I saw that Good Weather carried it. I went in to look at the helmets, and Jason helped me. He said that I could just probably buy the product online if I wanted to save money and time. I felt like the sizing help I'd gotten and friendly service was worth buying at Good Weather, and I did so. The price on the helmet was extremely competitive anyway. I wound up buying some other small items there just because they have good products and the service was so great. I recommend this place highly. read more

I originally learned of this store during planning for my wedding. We ultimately ran a tab with this store along with some others in Chophouse Row and had a good experience. After injuring my toe at my wedding, I started biking to work for exercise and had Jason begin working on my bike. I found their pricing to be fair and their service and timing to be excellent. He was persistent in fixing my bike demons, and fair with me. I felt everything was communicated effectively. I probably spent around 1k at the store on tuneups, foxes, upgrades, and ultimately packing my bikes up for my upcoming move. You will be happy to have your bike serviced here. read more

I had a great time here. The service was great, and the staff was very friendly. I personally like beer and i saw this place and had to go in. It's a very cool place because not only is it a bar, but it's a BIKE place. I'm visiting in town and it was a good experience. If you like beer and are in town it's a good idea to stop by. I love this place. Aside from being ridiculously knowledgable in all things cycling related, Jason and Danielle fill the entire shop with laughter and good vibes. They do quick and affordable tune ups on bikes, and also make one of the last affordable lunches in Capitol Hill. I pop in regularly for the 7-dollar-sandwich, and just recently had my heavy cheap cruiser worked on by Jason. I always feel a bit self conscious with said bike, but these guys don't have a whiff of pretentiousness about them and treated my bike the same as the custom road bikes they build and service for their other customers. Sweet mercy those tacos are DELICIOUS! How there isn't a line out the door every weekend is completely beyond me! I first stopped in about six months ago and had the French Toast...it forever changed the way I think about French Toast. IN. CREDIBLE. And now these breakfast tacos!?...for the rest of my life I no longer have to worry about what I need to make for breakfast on weekends because I'll be right here, bright and early. Big fan of Good Weather! Jason tuned up my bike and installed a rack with panniers so I can haul groceries and other goods - and it works great! I initially wanted a front-mounted basket, but he determined that it wasn't feasible with my current handle bars and frame. Really appreciate him taking the time to help me with an alternate solution and executing on a back-mounted rack. Seems like a good place to come if you have some open-ended questions/issues with your bike given the interactive style I experienced at Good Weather. Oh ya, they have good food too! read more

Little immaculate cafe in front of a bike shop, great outdoor seating. Best of all, the staff are so friendly and focused. Menu is brief and so excellent. I was wowed to find they added some truffle oil on top of their crunchy, seedy avocado toast! This is such a delightful shop! I picked up some glass in the bike lane, and they were only a few blocks away. All too often people in the shops refuse to give a quote without seeing the bike in person and won't get on my level (level 0) to explain the work that needs to be done. Very sightly bike shop tucked away in central Capitol Hill. Came in thinking I needed new disc brake pads ($$). With a quick glance at my bike and a quick spin of a multi-tool my brakes were working again without the need for new pads. Happy to pay the small adjustment fee instead of buying new pads.
