Short rib quesadilla with chimichurri sauce

We stumbled upon Goodall's while in Austin. The hotel is very charming and the staff were friendly! It is a great photo opt property. My husband and I ate dinner at Goodall's and it was amazing. The short rib with the risotto was amazing. I got the pumpkin ravioli and it was also very tasty. We had cocktails at their parlor lounge before dinner and it had such a great vibe. We ordered the pretzel bites and short rib quesadilla-- which was also very tasty! The chimichurri sauce served with a quesadilla complimented the meal very well. I will be going back!

I didn't know they did an afternoon tea service. It wasn't too popular an option amongst others, who all seemed to be there for lunch. It was good presentation, good service. As a vegetarian gluten-free option, they presented macarons, cucumber cheese sandwiches and bon bon chocolates. I enjoyed the Moroccan spice mint tea. I do wish they had more tea flavors to choose from for the second pot. It's not the fanciest tea in town, but at that price, a good casual option to experience the traditional setup.

We ordered room service because we wanted to eat in! Plus there was a huge wedding party outside and we didn't want to crash it lol We were also celebrating our anniversary with this dinner! We didn't realize the burgers came with fries, so this is why we ordered an extra set of fries. One thing they don't mention is a 22% room fee charge when they deliver it to your room! We had no idea until we got the bill. They took about 30 minutes which wasn't too bad and everything was fresh! The man carrying it was super sweet and the burgers were super flavorful! We definitely had fries for days!! We really enjoyed it and look forward to trying other items on the menu soon!

This unassuming restaurant in Austin is attached to the Hotel Ella which matches it's theme very well and seamless. I had breakfast and lunch and the seasoning was perfect. For breakfast I had the breakfast sandwich which was large portioned and yummy. For lunch I had the Ella burger is really good but always seems to come out well done. The crispy chicken sandwich is made out of dark meat chicken which is super juicy and I appreciate that and the chef adds a sweet but not too sweet additions like the pickles and sweet sauce. The cafe mocha, both hot and iced is a great treat after dinner. Also don't get me started on the Goodall Fashioned. One of the best old fashioned I've tasted.

Great brunch spot. This restaurant is at the Ella hotel. It's in a charming historic building. Service was great. The menu is not long but there is something for everyone. Our food was perfectly prepared and tasty. They offer complementary valet too. I want to come back to have a drink in their bar and to try their burger.

This place is going to be our wedding venue in a couple of months so we decided to check out the restaurant. The service here was pretty slow. Our waiter was very nice and I had an excellent bloody Mary there. Maybe two. My shrimp and grits were very tasty but I only had two shrimp in my grits. Two! My fiancée had a burger that was good but not $18 good. She had some rosé she really liked but after spending $100 on lunch (two drinks each) I was still a little hungry. Lovely venue but I won't be back after the wedding.

The ambiance was nice, the service was great (which is easy to maintain when you're one of two entire tables eating), and the pan seared salmon was delicious. The cornmeal crab fritters were pretty good too. That being said, 3 large scallops from Maine, no matter how beautifully plated, should not be $34. That's ridiculous. It's also a bit backwards to me to have valet restaurant parking that is ten feet from where you pull up to the Hotel. I felt inclined to tip for a service I'd rather do myself.

    Sunchoke soup

Classy and elegant restaurant inside hotel Ella. Came for brunch and ordered the sunchoke soup while others ordered the deviled eggs and the shakshuka. The service was good and I enjoyed my time here. I had no clue what a sunchoke soup was but I highly recommend it. It comes salty and slightly sweet topped with a hazelnut crumble that is neutral in flavor and a creme fraiche that tastes slightly sweet and sour. The hazelnut crumble was amazing! I wish I could have gotten more of that because the crispness against the smoothness of the soup paired so well. Expect to pay a little more since it is a high end hotel. For reference, the sunchoke soup is $12, deviled eggs (5) is $10, and the shakshuka is $15.

Really cute spot for happy hour. Met up with a girlfriend and found we were the only ones here till dinner time and then it turned into first date night. Drinks were great. I had something with Matcha and too bad they ran out or I would have had three more.

Very slow and disorganized staff. Limited menu options. The food however was excellent once we finally got it.

They printed special menus without pricing because I wanted my parents to order whatever they wanted and not worry about it since I was treating them (they feel bad when I spend money on them). They had the special menus ready and an anniversary card already set on the table. They have a selection of NA drinks and also gave us a commemorative NA drink on the house since I told them before we arrived that no one drinks. These small touches made an excellent time a magical time. No wonder they are a Michelin starred restaurant! Everyone said happy anniversary to them and it was such a nice touch. We did the tasting menu and Im so glad we did! The highlights were: 1. Short rib 2. Caviar and cornbread 3. Scallop 4. Halibut Notable mentions: 1. Tuna 2. Oysters Everything else was delicious even if it's not mentioned above. The dishes played on many different senses and were very well planned, not only in execution but the order in which they were served. I think everyone should do the tasting menu at least once. The restaurant was filled but the noise level wasn't loud. They have valet parking on Friday and Saturday, which was very convenient.

You get to control not just how much food you order, but how long you spend enjoying said food. All while still get to experience what Hestia has to offer. What we had were all good, from the bread to small bite starters and the main, which was pork chop. The chop was done well, smoky and juicy - evidently achieved through their open fire method of cooking. The atmosphere was not too stuffy for a Michelin-starred place. Overall, we'd come back and stick with the à la carte option! The fact that Hestia is on the Chase Sapphire OpenTable list was also a nice incentive for us to use our bi-annual CRS OpenTable credit.

We typically enjoy ordering the skillet, but unfortunately, we had a very strange experience during this visit. Even though we were the only customers there, it took around 20 minutes for our food to come out. When it finally arrived, the skillet was completely cold to the touch, and every bite was room temperature. We were genuinely confused, and it was one of the few times we felt the need to send a dish back. Because of that experience, we likely would not return to this particular location, especially when we've had consistently better visits at the Mueller one.

The restaurant itself is decorated so nice, it's picture perfect. I also really appreciate a restaurant committed to having options that are seed oil free, from local farms and also having options without refined sugar. Miranda was our server and she was so kind and attentive. She made sure we had a great experience and was a pleasure to talk to. To eat I ordered the classic breakfast and to drink I had the vanilla maca. I didn't love the vanilla maca, and I only blame myself for that. I have never had maca so I didn't know what to expect but the drink basically tasted like a chocolate protein shake. Which isn't bad but I wanted like more of a latte so that was on me. My meal however? Loved it. Everything was so flavorful and hit the spot exactly with what I wanted. I also really appreciate a salad with breakfast since this helps lower your glucose spike and so when a restaurant offers this I know they know true wellness!!! My girlfriends both ordered the avocado toast and loved it. One ordered the cherry vanilla limeade and enjoyed it as well, but as an avid cherry hater I didn't try it...but if you like cherry she recommends it! It was painfully boring. We had our 6-year-old, who is head of the Picky Eaters Society, so we ordered bread with butter. This 6-year-old, who eats bread on the daily, took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. We even get gluten-free bread regularly, and he eats it. The bread was fine, but don't expect flavor. By some miracle, they even made butter tasteless. I considered calling the Vatican to see if this was some holy, divine miracle, but my wife suggested maybe the main course would be better. We settled on the pesto pasta with chicken added for an additional fee. The pasta was good. Great texture, good flavor, and the combination of ingredients was good, but it's nothing original. It's pesto pasta. It's a classic. I appreciate the pomegranate seeds on the guacamole because it's original, it's clever, and it's different. We also ordered a special soda drink for our son, and it had a small black bug on top. I had them take it back and replace it. I kind of expected a "Listen, we apologize for the bug. Here's half off dinner," or something, but nothing. Service was fine, and it's a decent atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to sit and talk it's a great place, but if you want food or a drink go somewhere else.
