Sister restaurant to Barley Swine and Sour Duck, Odd Duck certainly is certainly not to be outdone by her siblings. A mix of fine dining and casual dining, Odd Duck boasts the delicacies of upper echelon cuisine while without its gaudiness. We had the grilled wagyu, pork belly chalupa, fried quail, cast iron cornbread, the ceviche, and the fettucine. Odd Duck delivered spectacularly and there were no misses that night. Standout dishes for me were the cornbread and the quail, definitely must-orders. Quail may seem unorthodox, but the sauce at the bottom fleshes out the taste in such a way that I found myself spooning the sauce after the quail was demolished. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went for a birthday and the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect, and of course the food was spectacular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday, and it ended up being one of the most memorable meals of the trip. What I loved most is how creative everything is. It's not your typical menu, but somehow every combination just works. I ordered the kimchi alfredo fettuccine with shrimp and pork sausage, and I won't lie, I didn't know what to expect. But it was so good. Rich, flavorful, slightly unexpected in the best way. As a table, we shared a few appetizers, and the standout for me was the cast iron cheddar cornbread with grilled onion butter. When I say I could've eaten three of those by myself, I mean it. It was warm, perfectly textured, and that butter melting into it... unreal. Of course we had to do dessert, and I tried both the strawberry profiterole and the oatmeal icebox cake. Both were incredible, but in completely different ways. Light, indulgent, balanced, everything you want to end a meal like this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole experience felt fun, elevated, and just different enough to make it special. Definitely a place you go for a celebration or when you want a meal you'll actually remember.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We had great service and view, we were in the patio but ac and covered so we can see the city.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was not basic, it was different but tasty. Ceviche, and cornbread were so good. We wouldve gotten a second cornbread if we werent so full. Mains we got pork chops and wagyu, so soft and tender. Drinks were strong so i needed the carbs. They were so great and wed go back. Valet is complimentary.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was amazing!! From the hostess to the bartender/server, to the drinks, the ambiance, the staff and of course the food!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered everything that was recommended on the reviews and oh boy!! They were right. If you were to ask what my favorite was, it will be hands down the jalapeño cornbread. Recommend eating it while it's warm, it will melt in your mouth.

Great dinner spot. Came here for dinner on a Monday night with my partner. We had a reservation so we got seated right away. The place was pretty busy even on a Monday evening so I'd recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. Started off the evening with their housemade Ginger Ale. The ginger flavor is quite strong so I waited for some of the ice to melt and even ended up adding some water to it. For dinner we shared the Redfish Ceviche, Beer Battered Romanesco Broccoli, Cast Iron Cheddar Cornbread, Pork Belly Chalupa, and Braised Goat Pizza. My personal favorite was the ceviche, the coconut lemongrass broth was delicious. My partner's fave was the cornbread, which was a very close second for me. The rest of the dishes were great as well. Glad we got to try this place!

10+ years in business. Do they still have it? Ten years ago today, 2/9, took my now wife on a date to Odd Duck. Was worried that, like with all restaurants, quality and service declines. We arrived and they greeted us and congratulated us on our anniversary and thanked us for returning. We sat at the bar and the server was such a cool, dude, who also congratulated us on our anniversary. To start, the restaurant gave us some bubbly which was great. We then ordered the Texas Pickles, the cast iron corn bread, pork belly chalupa and grilled wagyu eith tater tots. Everything came out as it was being cooked, all perfectly timed. The texas pickles were a variety of veggies, all pickled and all absolutely exquisite. Next up was the cast iron cornbread and Jesus F Christ, it was amazing! We demolished it. The pork belly chalupa was next and boy was it a treat. Loaded with pork belly, veggies and salsa, it was one to remember. Our final entree was the wagyu steak and tot. I don't even know what to say. It was just phenomenal and just melted in yiur mouth. The house made tots were unlike anything I've seen but so perfectly and deliciously crafted. Perfectly square crunchies with soft, pillowy inside. Whenwe thought we were done, to celebrate our anniversary, they brings us a strawberry ice cream dessert with olive oil croutons that was so good, it left me speechless. It was just magical and everyone should try it. All our servers were just such a joy to speak to them. All had great attitudes and eager to help. The staff made this evening even better. Still worth it? Absolutely. Possibly even better than 10 years ago. Impeccable food and impeccable staff.

We made reservations through Resy pretty seamlessly for a date night. Not sure if the parking was valet only, it seemed like they had so many cones around a fairly empty parking lot. We were able to find street parking easily As we walked in, we were greeted friendly and seated very fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes inside the restaurant is super nice with a diverse set of seating options available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is variable and since it's a farm to table restaurant, the menu items will change by the season. The waitress suggested that for two people, 4 menu items would be sufficient, and that's what we got. The food quality and flavor are definitely above average, but we weren't absolutely blown away by the flavors, and the portions are rather small. Nice for a good casual date night. Happy hour seemed decent. Service was great

The Odd Duck impresses with creative dishes, strong execution, thoughtful and warm service (thank you John), and quite delicious (and balanced) cocktails. Recommend sitting at the chef's counter to watch the well-run kitchen at work. Redfish ceviche my wife and I both thought it was one of the best things we had eaten recently Pork Chop with fish caramel extremely creative dish with very strong depth of flavor. I loved it but my wife thought it a bit pungent Antelope Tataki nice and tender, meat forward, lacked the depth of flavor of the other dishes Carrot cake incredibly delicious and I don't even like carrot cake 5/5 would go out of my way to visit

We had an awesome time at Odd Duck. I snagged a bar seat reservation for two and was so excited. I had heard great things about the cornbread. We ordered the Paloma, cornbread, goat pizza, and antelope. The Paloma was delicious. I loved the salt foam. It was a great deal on happy hour(: The cornbread was divine- especially the onion butter! The goat pizza was not at all what I expected (I expected goat cheese flavor) it was very meaty and had a roasted flavor. The antelope was delicious! I loved the crunchy kale and hints of citrus that paired well with the meat. I had a great time and would recommend!

Came here for a dinner date and the vibe was nice and rustic. However, the food wasn't very impressive and I left a bit unsatisfied. Ordering off their vegetarian menu, I tried the tomato ceviche and the flatbread. The coconut lemongrass broth in the ceviche reminded me of a thai curry due to the coconut milk (personally not a huge fan of thai curry), and the lemongrass flavor wasn't noticeable at all. But, it did pair well with the tomatoes and onions and I appreciated how bright the flavors became. 3/5 stars. The flatbread was really nice and soft and the broccoli was roasted to perfection with a nice char. The flavor of the dish itself was cheesy with a hint of spice which was not bad, but it was pretty one dimensional and I wished there was a secondary flavor to cut the smokiness/cheesiness (maybe something like hot honey?) and bring some depth. 3.75/5 stars.

Okay I see why this place is highly praised and raved about. The service is A1 and top notch! I actually loved that the food came out one at a time because I got to appreciate each dish individually with my family. The servers were all amazing and every time they brought out a dish, they gave a quick synopsis of each dish with ingredients. It gave me an idea of what I was biting into and expecting . You can tell everything was well thought out, freshly made with love. I love the farm to table aspect and appreciate that they list the farms they get their items from. Most places put farm to table but never say where they actually get it. Our server, Clint was truly the best. He made sure we were always getting everything we needed and enjoying everything we got. We first order the cornbread and chicken hearts for appetizers. The chicken hearts had good flavor and not gamey at all. Kind of reminded me of a mushroom texture. The cornbread was good but not as good as good ol southern cornbread. It was not sweet at all and had a spicy flavor due to the jalapeños. That was definitely different from the normal Southern sweet cornbread we were use to. It was more a of a savory cornbread and not sweet at all. We ordered the fried quail and it surprisingly was my favorite dish of all! The flavoring of the quail was well seasoned and reminded me of the texture between fried chicken and duck except smaller of course. It was on top of a curry corn which was very delicious (chefs kiss) and had pickled onion on top. We also ordered the burger and it was pretty good Top 3 best burgers I've ever had for sure. The pork jam took it to a whole nother level and the wagyu meat was very tender Love that everything was made to share family style. We were so stuffed at the end and really appreciated all of the flavors that came together. Each dish brought in the element of sweet, salty, umami flavor which I love. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also booked this place for our anniversary and brought our toddler. We were so surprised and happy to see they already had a high chair set up at the table for her and a menu with Happy Anniversary on there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Every server was helpful and truly made it a great experience. It's a very unique spot with unique dishes, but we would recommend everyone give it a try while in Austin. Highly recommend a reservation if you plan on visiting.

We grabbed seats at the chef's counter, and it made the whole experience even better to be able to watch the team prepping and thoughtfully plate each dish. Of course we ordered the legendary cornbread, and it absolutely lived up to the hype: unbelievably moist, packed with flavor, and perfectly complimented by the green onion butter. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, with a hint of lemongrass that elevated every bite, and the broccoli was perfectly cooked with incredible texture and depth of flavor. The staff was warm, attentive, and paced the meal beautifully so nothing felt rushed. Even though we were completely stuffed, we couldn't skip the strawberry shortcake and I'm so glad we didn't. The whole restaurant had cozy, homey, comforting vibes that made us want to linger and come back again. I was recommended this place by multiple friends and it was absolutely delicious and the best experience!

We visited Austin for the day and snuck a 5pm reservation here and got in happily The place provides complimentary valet. As parking is hard to come by The restaurant is very cute and cozy. Lots of pickle jars everywhere which I love The service was great from the valet to the host to the servers. The food was a little touch and go. I felt they were trying really hard to put unique things on the menu but some things didn't taste too good. The things we ordered and their ratings Pickles 4/5 Fried broccoli 5/5 Cornbread 4/5 Antelope tataki 3/5 Pork Chalupa 3/5 Chicken hearts 2/5 ( honestly felt undercooked) Shrimp fettuccine 5/5 Quail 4/5 The broccoli was the best thing I ate there. I would order a big bowl of it. I also loved the crust on the quail. And the home made pasta was good The worst thing to be honest was the music. Loud rap music isnt what I think of when having a nice dinner. The price was very good for all that we ordered. Also food service was very timely.

The view at Nido is breathtaking, the lay out is nice and the seating is comfortable, even with children. The apps and drinks are 10/10. The mains are where we encountered problems. I ordered a petite filet and I have attached the picture below. They served me a New York strip ( obviously) and tried to pass it off as a filet. I have never had a filet come cut like this and you can tell by the meat this was a strip not a fillet. They said all of their filets come pre sliced like this. So that must mean they are passing off New York strips as a filet. Which is not only unethical but so disappointing. Don't have a filet on the menu if you're going to do this. Most people probably can't tell the difference but we could, easily. Managers were nice, but would not own that this was not the right cut of meat and insisted it was in fact a filet. Yall be the judge by the photo below. The "mushrooms" on the plate were also charred to an unrecognizable point. The only other steak we ordered at medium well was served medium rare. We also ordered biscuits that never came but we were not charged for them. I will say they did comp my steak and my husbands and gave me some dessert on the house, which we sincerely appreciated. If you're looking for a place to sit and talk it's a great place, but if you want food or a drink go somewhere else.

The first thing that stood out was the beautiful ambiance. The restaurant offers both stunning indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any occasion. Since we planned to bring our dog, we called ahead to confirm outdoor seating availability. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly guided to the outdoor patio. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Another touch that made the evening special was that the staff acknowledged our son's birthday upon arrival and presented him with a birthday card signed by team members. It was a simple but incredibly sweet gesture that made him feel celebrated. For drinks, my husband ordered the Swedish Fish Punch, while I enjoyed the Family Business German Pilsner. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata and a salad that is no longer on the menu. The salad featured cashew butter and was absolutely delicious. Both appetizers were beautifully prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned for the three of us. For the main course, we decided to share two dishes. I wanted to try a vegetarian option, and our server was extremely helpful, offering several menu items that could be modified. I chose the Mafaldine pasta, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. It was rich, flavorful, and unlike any pasta dish I've had before. Every bite was outstanding. My son ordered the salmon, which was equally delicious and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were satisfying and filling. Since we wanted to save room for dessert, sharing the entrees turned out to be the perfect decision. We ordered the Pistachio Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding, and the restaurant also surprised our son with a complimentary birthday cake complete with a candle. All three desserts were exceptional and a perfect ending to the meal. Eberly is definitely a high-end dining destination and an excellent choice for special occasions, celebrations, or gatherings with family and friends. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious, the service is attentive and thoughtful, and every dish felt carefully crafted with unique flavors and attention to detail. What impressed me most was that every aspect of the experience--from the hospitality to the food and special touches--felt intentional and genuine. We left feeling celebrated, well-fed, and already looking forward to our next visit.

The turkey avocado sandwich (my husband enjoyed it) and the hot chicken sandwich was so good ( a little spicy but very well seasoned! My 9 yr old daughter had the chicken fingers kids meal (not pictured). She enjoyed it but the portions for the kids meal are a bit small so keep that in mind. All in all, we will definitely be back to try new items!

With a point system to accrue benefits over time, and at each visit, and impressive happy hour specials for both food and drinks, it's hard not to visit more than once. Every member of service either greeted us, or supported our needs with a smile. Calvin, especially, made sure every step of our experience from walking in through ordering was special. While we didn't indulge in the beverages, we enjoyed the $10 burger special which also came with fries! We paired this with a side of a $6 Caesar Salad (really tasty and thrown together with thinly sliced cabbage, roasted chickpeas, and popcorn chicken). Next time, I'd really love to try the truffle mac and cheese (which was also on HH). We weren't aware of the upcharge for swapping out the slice of American for Cheddar (+$1.50), which would've been nice to know ahead of time, since we both got burgers and wondered about the swap...but lesson learned. Also, BIG lesson learned...the parking validation is for only two hours! We were having such a lovely time at Dish Society, but exceeded the 2 hrs (by an extra hour) and got charged a significant amount for parking. Next time, we will certainly park on the street. We tried reasoning with the parking attendant and they wanted no business in understanding we were patrons of the restaurant. It was certainly an unexpected shock, and didn't leave the best final touch of our evening (specifically in that parking garage). It's unfortunate that we got penalized for enjoying our time at dinner.

We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.
