Now St Louis Subs. Would be good but they don't have half their toppings a lot of the time. A problem before and now still even with the rebrand! Out of tomatoes, bacon, mayo, and the list goes on and on. You have 1 job - keep your ingredients stocked. It cannot be that hard. This is and has been an ongoing problem. We only go there at this point because it's convenient and every once in a while you get lucky and they actually have the ingredients they are supposed to have. If there was another sub place close by we would never go here. read more

The employees of this location told me to leave a negative review and maybe the manager will actually do something. The last 5 visits they have failed to have the Garlic Pepper bread in stock. Employees tell me the owner/manager refuses to order enough of the ingredients to do it even though it's the most popular choice. Frankly that bread is the only reason I have chosen Goodcents over other sandwich shops. I will not return until this location gets their act together and stocks the product. read more

The staff here is so fun & beyond nice! They do the best they can with what they have, and they have a lot! Even with a line to the door, they take the time to make sure my sandwich is perfect ! I love getting the chipotle cheesesteak with pepper Jack; last time I got it, one of the employees suggested that I try the sandwich with oregano and pepper & now I will always order my sandwich with those two affitolnals! read more

I ate here a couple of years ago on their 30th anniversary and enjoyed it at $.30 for a turkey sub. This time corporate wasn't there and as I was looking at the lettuce that had seen better days I noticed a fly buzzing around the toppings. The staff were friendly but I wish I had journeyed into the city for Blues City, Gioia's, or Mom's. If unable to go to the city I recommend Subway. read more

I heard this location was selling the to-go meals and stopped by yesterday. I was immediately greeted by the staff and they were all wearing masks. Looking around the restaurant they had Plexiglass up, stickers on the floor and germ-x bottles out. (I also noticed the fresh paint job, it looks amazing!!!). I highly recommend the chicken pesto tortillini! Its definitely one of my favorites. I will definitely be back soon!! read more

The bread is so soft and fresh. Expensive subs, but tasty. Lots of meat on the subs. The meat is cut to order.

Glad this sub shop reopened awhile back. It was a long time waiting! I definitely prefer Mr. Goodcents over Subway or Jimmy Johns. Decided to stop in for lunch with my wife. I ordered the cheesesteak with steak. My wife ordered the meatball sub. Both were made quickly and the people behind the counter were very friendly. We got our food, paid for it and sat down. The food was great. Hot, delicious, and just the right amount of all the toppings. I love cheesesteak so I was pretty excited to dive in. The veggies were fresh and crispy and the steak was juicy. The spicy mayo sauce was also delicious. The table was crumby as were most of the tables. I think we came in right after the lunch rush and they hadn't had time to clean the dining room yet. Also, my wife's meatballs were a bit pink in the middle. Not sure if this is normal or not. Either way, we will be back for sure! I will frequent this place for lunch when I start working right down the street! read more

We have been ordering there $5 meats and cheeses weekly during this Covid19 quarantine. You can get a pound of fresh cut meat or cheese for $5. You can also buy their bread for .75 a loaf. I usually ask for my favorite sauce like I would get in store and they always put it on the side for me when I make my sandwich at home. Most people eat lunch meat so why not help out a local business. You can order ahead and pick it up curbside which is a great convenience. read more

Lousy service, stale bread, meat is so thin you can read a paper through it. Way overpriced. The area around the meat slicer is filthy. The counter where the sandwiches are prepared is dirty with old food debris sitting on it. Do they ever clean it off. read more

I really do like this place, both for the bread (which i am truly a fan of, never had a bad piece from here really) and of the fresh cut meats that they do in front of you. I do like that aspect of this place is that you can see them cut it in front of you. The people usually are very nice and greet you as you come in the door. My favorite is the penny club (which i seem to get EVERY time), but i am a creature of habit when it comes to this place so, what can i say? I do however, am a fan of the meatball sub too (HUGE meatballs!). Most of the menu is yummy sounding! read more

No complaints about the food but why do they offer delivery if they almost never have delivery hours?? Nowhere can you see what the hours are or if they are currently delivering untill you go to check out. WHY?? I have at best hit and miss luck with getting delivery from the Arnold location. As a former restaurant manager myself the cross contamination alone on the slicer is something to be alarmed about. cutting different meats without cleaning and sanitizing the slicer in between is a big no-no. Needless to say I got sick off of the food I got from there last time and I won't be back. Not overly impressed with the selections either. read more

We had a large order for our volleyball team and would need to pick it up within 45 minutes of their opening. I called ahead to discuss how we should handle the order. We ordered online the night before, but we had to add a couple of them the next morning. They had everything ready at pick up time, there were no mistakes, and the boys loved them. My son said it was the best sub he had ever had, and one of his teammates thanked us for getting them and said he thought they helped us win the tournament! read more

No complaints whatsoever on food as its hard to mess up a cold sandwich and a bag of chips. I have had over 2000 sandwiches here in the last 20 years and its become the most unfriendly place I know of. The owner or the employees could care less if you come there or not. read more

The one star has absolutely nothing to do with the food and everything to do with the hates-her-job-and-wants-everyone-to-know-it woman working behind the counter. I actually think she may have been some sort of manager or supervisor, which is unfortunate because either of the other two guys that were there with her would've been WAY better options for a position like that. First, she left off the bacon on our ultimate club. Even though her attitude suggested that this was somehow our fault, I didn't hold this against her because stuff happens and one of the other employees fixed it....not a problem. Then we presented a coupon at the register that the guy forgot to ring. Again....stuff happens and the coupon was actually quite tiny so it wasn't a big deal, we just wanted to get it fixed. Well the poor kid ringing didn't have the authority to override the system and refund the difference so he asked *her* if she could help. Her response was to roller her eyes and shout a snarky response at him about how she wasn't sure because she was so incredibly busy. She wasn't sure she could fix the error they made??? What does that mean? Plus, besides us, there was one woman in line behind us. She did wind up "getting around to it" but it was so unnecessary for her to behave that way, especially yelling at the kid. What bothers me is that I've read several other reviews on other sites about this Goodcents location that mention a rude female employee that date back several months. I'm nearly certain that they are referring to this same gal because the encounters are so very similar to ours. So why is she still there? And why in the world would she have any position of authority there? It can't be due to a lack of options because, like I said, the other two guys that were there would've been much better candidates for that kind of role. In case the owners read this and want to try to pretend that they don't know who I'm talking about.....it was the only woman working on Saturday, April 16th around 1:30/2:00 in the afternoon. I used to love this place. Anytime I had to feed a large group of people I was entertaining I would feed them Goodcents subs. However, my most recent visit on 7/3/17, was displeasing. I ordered 2 16" ultimate subs and 2 16" penny subs. When I got home the penny subs only had turkey on both subs and it was only one layer of meat. My guests had to eat 2 subs that barely had any meat. I guess the girls behind the counter making the sandwich forgot to put the other meats on the subs or purposely did this to be mean. It seemed as if the 2 female employees didn't want to be working or waiting on customers...like they had somewhere better to be...I get it...I do; but gosh I came to Goodcents to spend my hard earned money to get quality service, subs with more than 1 layer of meat and get what is stated on the menu for the price I paid. But No, I gave Goodcents my money only to be cheated out of meats I paid for because 2 teenage girls didn't want to do their job. Ridiculous! Remember karma is coming whether for you or your loved ones, and when something like this does happen to you...remember you did it first so don't get mad. As for Goodcents subs, I will be back but I will be watching your employees like a hawk as they make my subs and I will not be giving tips anytime soon. read more

Absolutely hands down the worst service I have ever received in my life!! Called 45 min before my scheduled lunch time to ensure plenty of time for delivery, ask the young lady taking my order about how long for delivery? She replied 30 to 45 mins...ok so be here in time for lunch I thought...Wrong!! Showed up a 1hr and 25 mins later and lunch was over. Had called once when there was still 30 min of lunch left and was told it was on its way...called when there was 5 min left and was told to hold on for a min...5 min later hung up. Called back to tell them to keep their sandwich and refund my money...yet to see the money on my debit card. I understand completely that businesses get busy at lunch...I had no problem ordering from somewhere else or going out to get lunch somewhere else had I been told the truth on delivery time. I'll never order from this company again and I will let every single person I work with know the crap for service they give!! read more
