I was in St Louis for work, and I wanted a real, local joint and not a chain…read more WOW, did I choose well. First of all, I knew I was doing well because of the traffic coming in and out while I waited (ever so briefly) for a table. I wanted that delicious St. Louis style pizza, and Liliana's delivered on my expectations. The cheese was perfect, the toppings exactly as I would hope, and it did not hurt that I had some leftovers. I also ordered a Caesar salad and a House red. So many places under-deliver on Caesar salads these days that I tend to be cautious when ordering. This one was delicious. It hit all the high notes. As for the ambiance, the dining room could've walked right out of the 70s, plopped itself down in 2026, and manage not to look out of place. Service was spot-on, the food did not take too long, and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Next trip tom St. Louis, I'm stopping here again!

The location was chosen because it was a good midpoint for us, a friend in the neighborhood recommended it. Really appreciate it as it is a fairly nondescript outside and in a shopping center. Inside it was pretty dark despite it being a sunny day.... There is a total vibe Service was good and efficient.

I didn't realize it was quite so far away, but it was worth checking out. Overall, I really enjoyed The Berliner with chicken, and the fresh Somun Bread & Kajmak was also a standout. The food was flavorful, and everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their meal. The only downside was that several of us ended up with upset stomachs afterward. That said, no one had anything negative to say about the food itself, and overall it was still a positive dining experience.

As always, the food is simply delicious. What really pissed me off? Upon leaving, I asked for a container to take most of it home because it was too much to eat. The young woman served me a brown cardboard wax-coated box to dump everything in. She said, "Will this do?" No bag to carry it home or prevent the 2 oz. Soufflé cup Olive Oil, and partially full- 2 oz. Soufflé cup of Tzatziki. I asked if I could get an extra 2 oz. portion of Tazatziki. The young woman looked at me rudely and as if she would be terribly inconvenienced, she said "We charge extra for that!" I replied "Just FORGET it!" She was very attentive to a table of females behind me who were obnoxiously loud! I regret I left her a tip after spending $40.00 + for lunch. Your To-go orders include very fancy packaging in orange bag, oversized white plastic bag. I'm a sure an extra 2.0 oz portion of Tazatziki wouldn't break your piggy bank and cost a helluva lot less. Truly disappointing snd pathetic. If you want similar, delicious cuisine and nicer service, spend your money at Balkin Treat Box. At least you won't be rudely, mistreated by arrogant, lazy "Millennial" wait-staff.

Anyone that's ever won something in a team setting knows how hard it is for a team to mesh, play together, learn from one another, etc. It's not something that's done over night. It happens in the offseason, during two-a-days, and at 6pm during the evening rush on a Friday night. I'm not saying salt + smoke couldn't win a championship right now. They have the makings of a great team. They just haven't learned to play together. Ribs falling off the bone, that's your quarterback. You want a guy that will take a swing on a deep ball without barbecue sauce. Fatty brisket, that's your left tackle. You expect them to be the saving grace of a meal through consistency and flavor. But don't forget how important coaching is. You can't just have talented players. You need more salt and less smoke. It's called accountability. Now I say this all to say that my 1.5 year old toddler ate more food than she'd eaten the last week. As a dad, if she's happy, I'm happy. So, I'd recommend to any family. But as a yelp elitist, I'd wait a little longer for the team to become championship caliber.

We started off with the deviled eggs (good) and the hush puppies (horrible). The hush puppies had no flavor to them and were burnt on the outside. They give you a honey butter with the hush puppies and I see why because the hush puppies are horrible. Then we ordered the three meat platter with two sides. Smoke wings, ribs and chicken. The meat overall was good. They do offer four different sauces at the table to go along with the meat. We also ordered the coleslaw and fries, which were both good. There was some kind of bread (Cheddar and bacon popover) that came along with this plate and flavorless (horrible) It was pointless to have that on the plate. Drinks- Lucky Club cola Our waitress was great and she knew a lot about the food there. They did offer us a sample of their special. It was some kind of turkey jalapeño sandwich. I wish I would've ordered that. It was good.
