Their oysters Rockefeller from happy hour
    Dawana L.

I went on Labor Day, expecting a crowd. There was barely anyone there. The place was clean and quiet. My friends ordered the seafood tower and both of them had items that were not on there tower. I came for happy hour. Drinks were OK. Food was not it. I got these oyster Rockefellers from their happy hour. These were the worst oysters I've ever had. I don't even know how they could classify this as oysters, Rockefeller. This congealed orange sauce was not it.

I really, really, really hate writing this review and it has taken me quite a while to get it completed. I like to write honest reviews and the reason why this one is so hard is because if I went on service alone, it would be at least 4 to 5 stars. But most of my reviews are about the food, and because of that, the best I could do is 2 stars. I do also want to mention the atmosphere. When we entered the strong fish smell was off putting. It was very strong, so bad that I should have left after the smell almost pushed me back out of the door. But I've been here before and it wasn't bad, and I was really craving some seafood to, I ignored that smell. For appetizers we ordered Shrimp Empanadas Crispy pastries packed with our classic shrimp and creole vegetables. They were eh. I mean, I ate one and that was really all I could do. My friend ate the other ones. For dinner I ordered red fish. It was NOT good at all. Had a strong fishy flavor that I don't like at all. I also didn't eat that. After having such a bad dinner experience we decided to go else where for dessert, and I am glad that we did. I would love for this to be a great seafood place because its close to me. But they've never really impressed me, and this last visit was the worst one.

The food was excellent. We had a variety of items from the Grand Prize Tower to a burger. The service was very attentive our drinks never wet empty. The restaurant was crowded and the noise level was a little loud but understandable. If you like smoked salmon your love the smoked red fish dip that's in the tower.

First time at Goode company seafood and it was delicious also ordered but not pictured is the grand prize seafood tower it was amazing. The oysters and all the various servings on top impeccable. The poboy in my opinion did have too much mayo but that's only my personal opinion. The redfish special was delicious with the crawfish sauce poured on top oh my. The service was great very attentive and quick to get the items to our table. I do love the clean ambiance of the restaurant and the way the tables had enough space away from each other.

Lunch meetings are always more fun with yummy food. We hosted a business lunch meeting with another company on Tuesday. The restaurant was not quite as busy yet since the door seemed to just open for lunch hours. The vibe fits the sea/ocean theme, a lot of blue color in the restaurant. The smoked redfish dip and the blue crab, corn, and poblano bisque are a must to start off with. Be sure to ask what the catch of the day. I had crabmeat fettuccine which consists of jumbo lump crabmeat + fettuccine in garlic Romano cream sauce. I enjoyed the pasta, but the crabmeat contained a lot of shell fragments. It was a bit embarrassing splitting them out into a napkin. Would I come back? Most definitely, but probably not schedule a lunch meeting or another option would probably order something else.

A family favorite here! The campechana here does not skimp out on meat! Always our go-to here as it tastes wonderful. Mesquite grilled oysters and the red fish on the half shell were great with their feature special adding crab meat on top of it. Very fresh and nicely prepared. For the pie, I wasn't expecting such a huge slice this time around but it was good. I think the crust is the most lacking part unfortunately. Perhaps this slice was a older piece but it tasted a bit stale from what I remember previous times Overall a great spot to go to for fresh seafood. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Parking is plentiful.

I would give this spot 3.5/5 stars! Fun interior with a bar in the middle and tables surrounding it with beach decor. For appetizers, my friend and I got the campechana de mariscos and oysters. Both were great but the campechana de mariscos is a must get! The seafood was delicious, the acidity from the tomato and limes were perfect, and I loved the additional flavors coming from the onions, cilantro, and avocado. Honestly, I would come back just for the campechana de mariscos. As for the main entree, I got the daily special which was salmon with a seafood cream sauce on top. The salmon was good and the sauce was okay- I personally feel like it woud've been better if the sauce was separate because the fish by itself was just fine. As for the sides, I got the seafood rice. The seafood rice had good seasoning/flavoring but unfortunately the rice was pretty undercooked. I enjoyed the garlic bread and empanada though! The service here was fantastic. I wish I remembered our server's name but she brought such good energy and always made sure my friend and I were well taken care of throughout dinner. Overall, there were some misses but it was a good experience overall!

This bisque is what dreams are made of!!!! Will be my go to cold day order- it was soooo delish! Love this spot, service is always great and very clean and cute vibes inside. Grilled oysters were yummy & smoked redfish dip was good. A little too smoky for me though. Will absolutely be back to this Houston staple!

What a brilliant place - haven't been here since the new site opened (we moved away) but this place does not disappointed. Great service from Hazel and the manager (Dillon) checking in with us - food is great - who doesn't love gulf oysters? Can't recommend highly enough!

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.

The Chargrilled Rockefeller? That's the one you call your mama about. Big, flavorful, perfect. And the deviled eggs... listen. I don't even like deviled eggs, but these? My mouth is literally watering thinking about them. Smooth, creamy yolk, perfectly seasoned shrimp on top -- a combo I didn't know I needed. The crab cakes? Chef's kiss. Packed with fresh crab, and that aioli is doing exactly what it needs to do. The only miss for me was the crab and asparagus -- it just wasn't giving. No flavor, no cohesion... just no. The crème brûlée is delicious, but I'm still wishing they made beignets. Now the drinks? Top 2 and not number 2, do you hear me? The Mexican Martini and the Texas Blueberry Martini -- TEA. EXCEPTIONAL CULINARY EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING - END…read more LUXURY, PALATE PLEASER, ELEGANCE AT ITS FINEST From the moment we arrived, this dining experience embodied sophistication, impeccable hospitality, and culinary excellence. As my husband and I celebrated the special milestone of our 20th anniversary of finding our way back to one another, every detail was thoughtfully curated to make the evening unforgettable. The experience began with the valet attendant, who greeted us with a warm smile and genuine welcome, immediately setting the tone for what would become a remarkable evening. Upon being escorted to our table, we were greeted by delicate red rose petals beautifully displayed across the tabletop, creating an ambiance that was both romantic and elegant. It was evident that this was not simply a restaurant visit, but an experience designed to make guests feel celebrated and valued. What truly elevated the evening was the exceptional level of service. Our server, Mya, was nothing short of extraordinary. Her gracious demeanor, extensive knowledge of the menu, and sincere attentiveness made us feel as though we were the only guests in the restaurant. She anticipated our needs effortlessly and guided us through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm. Her ability to provide attentive service while remaining poised and humble was impressive and worthy of recognition. We often joke that we wished we could bring her home to serve every meal. The hospitality continued with Kellen, the Bar Manager, who personally stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our experience, and Ed, who also took the time to welcome us and make us feel appreciated. Their personal touches reinforced the restaurant's commitment to excellence and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. The cuisine was equally impressive. We began with the creamy Spinach Dip, which was rich, flavorful, and the perfect introduction to the meal. Our selection of Aqua Panna water and two glasses of Moscato complemented each course beautifully. The seasonal Chickpea Soup was comforting and well-balanced, while the Lobster Bisque was velvety, luxurious, and bursting with flavor. The Signature Wedge Salad, topped with bacon, green onions, and tomatoes, offered a refreshing contrast and showcased the quality of each ingredient. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Perry's Famous Pork Chop, expertly carved tableside and served on a cast-iron plate. The presentation alone was impressive, but the flavor surpassed expectations. Perfectly caramelized, tender, and exceptionally moist, it was a masterclass in preparation and execution. The Cedar Plank Fired Redfish was equally memorable, delivering delicate texture and subtle smoky flavor that showcased the freshness of the fish. We concluded our meal with a Lemon Bar that was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to an extraordinary dining experience. This establishment delivers far more than exceptional food. It offers an atmosphere of refinement, heartfelt hospitality, and attention to detail that transforms an evening into a cherished memory. The elegant surroundings, impeccable service, and outstanding cuisine combined to create a celebration worthy of our special occasion. For anyone seeking an elevated dining experience, whether for an anniversary, milestone celebration, or simply an unforgettable evening out, this restaurant exemplifies luxury, sophistication, and excellence in every sense of the word.

Not lessened, but different. Everyone knows and loves the Friday pork chop. Good portion, good flavor and great value. However, WHY is it important to stuff all condiment containers, sides containers, foil-wrapped bread AND the pork chop into one larger container? That way, all the oils, dirt and dust (from the individual containers) are all now mingled with the cooked meat and everything has a generous coating of oils and meat juice, inside the larger container. And as an added bonus, you may need gloves to take it all out of the package in order to eat it. Mind you, the cooked meat is hot and...guess what? The semi-solid whipped butter for the bread is now butter soup. Who is approving this packaging? Why don't you get a small container for just the meat and "brown paper bag" all the rest of the sides and condiments? It's baffling that someone thinks this is acceptable. The message is clear - Don't order takeout and always sit in the restaurant because your experience will be highly degraded from the regular dine-in experience. Do better.
