We sometimes do doordash/ubereats here as this is the favorite spot of my girlfriend's mother. So every time she visits us, we always order from here. The food delivered is ok; nothing that will scream gourmet but the way they do their eggplant parmesan and the pork chop (the favorite entrees of my girlfriend and her mother) with mashed potatoes and broccoli sides somehow always have them ordering from here more than once. Personally, I always told them not to order me anything cause I had negative bias towards most chain places. Well my opinion changed one day on Christmas Eve as we were heading to Katy and looking for a place to have dinner before our lights event at the Katy Mills mall. Every restaurant we went to was closed; except for this one. And I figured since my girlfriend and her mother would love this place, might as well give it a shot. Now I'm on board the Carrabba's train. I give props to the hostess and service staff as this place operated like it was on steriods considering how many people popped in here (since it was one of the very few establishments open for dining on Christmas Eve). Service was very attentive as our server Jessica gave us some good wine recommendations and told us about the BOGO options for entrees (although tempting, we declined it since we had plenty of eats at home for the holidays). Caesar salads served had balanced amounts of dressing and parmesan. The complimentary bread has the olive oil and parm topping to dip in which kept us over while we waited for entrees. Being my first time here, I decided on the chicken trio with a side of penne w/ marinara. Pretty tasty dish as you get chicken breast three ways (marsala, tuscan, and some other one I can't remember). The penne is basic penne w/ tomato sauce that tasted like it was store-bought but the star of course is the chicken which is solid. My girlfriend got the eggplant parmesan (her go-to) while her mother decided on the salmon instead of the pork chop due to a dental issue. The salmon was tender and she enjoyed it. Chain restaurants are hit or miss; depends on the location and who's managing it. Looks like this one is managed well as we enjoyed our dining experience here and I'm proud I popped my Carrabba's cherry at this location. read more

A Carrabas regular in Katy. I had been to this one only once with a group, but thought that the name carried quality. Decided to order spaghetti with meatballs and a small salad. The portion for both the salad and the spaghetti was a bit small, especially the salad. In fact, I venture to say that the size should have been free, lettuce and carrots. So I'll just say that I was disappointed, but a person told me that I had to remember that this was the original, not Katy. I'll say that they may want to take a tip from Katy. read more

She whiped it down rapidly and apologies for it. I enjoyed the Salmon Capperi. It was made to perfection. I had it with A Caesar salad. With a 9oz glass of moscato, Italy by seven daughters. I could have enjoyed the 6oz instead. I appreciate the sample wine. And the sample of the seven daughters prior to committing to a 9oz. Thanks to the management Donate for his hospitality. Rachel was a pleasant server with great service, I really like that she replaced the to go boxes without requesting her to once I questioned if she was planning to box my leftovers next to the spoiled dishes from a different table? (-1) (+1) Rachel pleasantly handled that first by removing the dirty plates returning them to the kitchen, left the boxes she originally had next to the spoiled dishes to assure that she return with a different set to go boxes. I thanked Rachel for her great observation especially since she's aware I don't eat from public flatware. +1 We shared a beautiful comp dessert offered by the manager for my first visit here. I selected the Sogno di cioccolata "chocolate dream" which was good. I asked if I could get it with ice cream. I was told yes, but it was served without it. It was very great either way. They offer a buy one take one entree home for $10 that's equal or lesser value. On our first visit a month ago the food /Service was good this was for a large group of guests. The 2nd visit was way below par, where to begin . We had a party of 13 guests total, 4 adults the rest teens/ children. Our food was tolerable at best. The food wasn't served hot and the pasta was dry. 1 guest asked for extra sauce when it was poured out it ran over the entire trio dish. The sauce was milk consistency. Another guest didn't get her meal until after we had finished eating. 2 of the kids orders were incorrect, 1 missing a side. The Italian Trio dish was returned and a properly prepared dish was not offered. It was told the Manager had to approve the removal off of the bill. After all these inconsistenes the Manager never once came to our table. This is very poor all around hospitality and service not to mention poor food quality. I have been to Carrabba's a handful of times and one time I picked up a holiday meal from this location as well (this was prior to my Yelping days). I was most impressed with my recent visit. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our special requests. The food arrived to our table very fresh, great temperature, and the portions are quite large. Including leftovers, I got 3 meals out of mine. The only thing I don't like about this location is the traffic noise from I-10. That's not necessarily their fault, but I wouldn't enjoy their patio. We had an incredible dinner party here on Sunday evening, January 11th. There were about 25 people in our party and the service was exceptional. Of course the food was 'off the charts' delicious. And the waitstaff were so efficient and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised how hot the food was when it was served. With a party that large, to have everything served as if it had just come out of the oven was amazing. And the manager was so attentive to all of us all evening. She went above and beyond just 'good service'. She was exemplary. I am giving a "5" rating, but wish I could give it a "10". Definitely recommend this establishment. read more

Have been patronizing their original Voss Rd location since they opened in the early 1980s. Atmosphere is lively with mostly Memorial area families. Don't see Rose & family there as often as before, I'm sure they're busy on multiple fronts. To all the people that think all of Italian food is just components of a pizza rearranged into different shapes and sizes... you're wrong. Our workplace had Carrabba's catering brought for our lunch, and I think everybody is about ready for a food coma! Despite our employees taking lunch into their own hands, an employee was here to assist in set up, with a smile on his face. Usually, I watch I walk into the breakroom to see one of our own employees struggle with the massive load on their own, but not this time! As one of those 'healthy eaters,' I was worried I'd be filling up on more and more carbs without a proper proportion of protein or vegetables. However, Carrabba's has something for everyone, even vegetarian options. I tried some of their grilled chicken (not dry!), shrimp and pea pasta, broccoli, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was perfect and too my liking. We were also given a generous amount of sauce, so I tried some five cheese marinara with their garlic bread, which was perfectly spongy and fresh. Ordered takeout for Father's Day. You got fresh bread along with olive oil/seasonings to make the dipping sauce for the bread. That's definitely clutch moves. Added sautéed shrimp to one of the meals in the "additional instructions" for one of our entrees. They called and said it would be extra charge. No big deal, but the fact they read the instructions and called us....awesome. Wouldn't have been disappointed either was because sometimes online ordering may not show everything like the additional instructions. It happens. Pulled up, they came out with the food. I have visited here during this summer twice now for lunch and dinner. For lunch I had a seafood pasta dish and for dinner it was simply spaghetti and meat sauce. Both meals were very good in taste. Plenty of seafood in the first dish and the second meal was just a big ole bowl of pasta and sauce. Each meal satisfied along with attentive table service. Prices are higher than average (I think my spaghetti and meat sauce was $16.49). Chain restaurants sometime get a bad rap when reviewed. There is a tendency to give them 3's unless they are exceptional. With my experiences I could give a 3 because everything was a-ok and I think the prices are high but I did have two very good meals and I think to give a 3 would be unfair so I will give a 4. I would be happy to come back. P.S. They have their own large dedicated parking lot. read more

They definitely need more servers, they had one server taking care of way too many tables and it was impossible for them to be attentive.
