Father's Day dinner with reservations; we quickly got seated in a very nice room with a Fathers Day background! Our server, Xiomara I believe was her name was so attentive and suggested house favorites. We had the Rockefeller oysters for an appetizer, they were okay, a bit cold for my taste. We also had the lobster and steak meal and the salmon dish which were both nicely cooked and well seasoned along with the lobster Mac and cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean, intimate with valet parking (able to validate) and a nice wine selection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed our experience and will definitely come again; pricing for 3 people was about $220 but it is fine dining so expected the higher price. Business casual is welcomed.

Had a work dinner at The Capital Grille and was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually skeptical of steakhouses because I feel like steak is often better at home, but everything here was excellent. We started with the calamari, tuna tartare, & lamb chops. All fresh and flavorful! I also ordered the lobster bisque, which was rich and comforting. The highlight for me was the lobster and scallop risotto, perfectly cooked seafood and a creamy, well-balanced risotto. The service was fantastic: attentive, polished, and exactly what you'd expect from an upscale spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is beautiful and was packed even on a Wednesday night, which says a lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place for business dinners or a special occasion. I'd definitely come back!

This is hands down one of my favorite places. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I come here, it feels familiar, comforting, and consistently great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is always delicious, the quality never slips, and it's a spot I truly enjoy coming back to again and again. Some places just become part of your routine and your memories -- this is one of them. Reliable, welcoming, and always worth it. Definitely recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Capital Grille is a wonderful place for date night, special celebration with family , or just a classy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Full of delectable eats and a top notch service that is unbeatable. From the valet parking, the waitstaff, and the greeters I was truly impressed. Now the EATS!!!! This dining event was called "Wagyu & Wine" and the selection I made was the Waygu Cheeseburger (Bleu cheese). Mouth watering and full of "tenderism" Also, as a starter we had the Calamari extra crispy!! The wine selection was excellent and matched flavor combinations of the full experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you are in City Centre of Houston/ Memorial City area and you want to treat yourself to a sexy yet classy evening this is your place!!!! Enjoy!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We dined here for Easter Brunch and overall it was delicious. We valet parked which was $5 if you're dining at a restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nicely decorated and the noise level was appropriate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated immediately when we checked in. My grandson had the chicken fingers with fries and he enjoyed them! We started out with the oysters on the half shell, which were smaller than I expected but they were good. My husband and I had the Cold-Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast and it was delicious. My daughter had the clam chowder and she said it was good. I had the Lobster Frittata, which was delicious but the hash brown was overcooked. My daughter and husband had the filet mignon and egg and they said the steak was good but it was a little salty and overcooked on the outside but good on the inside. I had The Doli, my husband had the High Flyer, and my daughter had the French 75 and they were all great! Our server, Donald/Don was amazing and the general manager stopped by the table to see if everything was great. Overall it was a great dining experience.

5 stars I had such a great experience at The Capital Grill!e I didn't get any pictures of my food (too busy enjoying every bite ), but I did manage to grab a quick video of the wine pour during the wine tasting--definitely a nice touch and added to the overall experience. For my meal, I had the sea bass topped with crab, and wow... just so good. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I paired it with the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, which were both amazing--no notes! I was curious about the cream of spinach, and even though my server recommended the Brussels sprouts (which I'm glad I got), he was thoughtful enough to bring out a sample of the spinach for me to try. I really appreciated that level of service. Overall, everything--from the food to the wine to the service--was top tier. I'll definitely be back!

I had the wine and wagyu special that was only $35. It was absolutely incredible! What a value too. I didn't know if I would be treated as a second class citizen when ordering it but that was not the case at all. The bread and soft butter they serve prior to the meal was just spot on wonderful. The burger choices are great - you will find one of the three choices to suit your fancy. I didn't opt for the truffle oil or blue cheese burger and just went for a basic one and it was GLORIOUS! A regular burger from a fast food joint would be like eating out of a dumpster or being served a bucket of vomit, by comparison. That's how TERRIFIC the burger was and the wine too. I love Duckhorn.

I enjoyed the stellar service for our Christmas dinner with the family at The Capital Grille. Hostesses, Waiters, and server's assistants were all terrific. Especially with our 1yr old who they doted on hand and foot the entire time. They lived up to the high end steak house standard of care that you expect. Valet parking up front is $5, but there is a garage a bit of a walk away if that's your style. My steak here was fantastic! As suggested by our server James, I went with the Kona crusted Bone-in Ribeye. Excellent portion size, and the coffee flavor profile was just different enough to be memorable and familiar at the same time. Was the absolute highlight item of my Christmas break meals. Everything else was good to ok. We got some fried calamari and pepper that were fine, Crab cakes that were passable, and some fried prosciutto and mozzarella that was great (because how could you go wrong?). My lobster bisque had a fair amount of meat, but the soup didn't punch as hard as I would've thought, maybe had too much cream. The sides were also just fine compared to some other high end places, baby loved the mashed potatoes. TL/DR; the steak here is near perfect, but the apps and sides leave a little to be desired. Service is impeccable!

I was not impressed with this steakhouse at all. I ordered online and picked my food up to go. I arrived at the designated pick up time, 40 mins after my order was placed, and my food was not ready. They offered me a soft drink to accommodate and I accepted. My boyfriend placed an online order for me as an anniversary lunch. From his end, it seemed as if he had paid, since he entered his card info and the amount of the order was deducted from his balance. Oddly though, upon receiving my food, I was also asked for payment. I paid, but also explained that my boyfriends card had already been charged. I was assured that the charge on his card was solely an authorization hold and that it would fall off. That is stupid. If it's a hold then send the charge through once I get the food. No reason why I should have to present payment upon arrival if you already have card info on file. My food was just as bad, if not worse, than the payment process. I ordered a medium ribeye, truffle fries and lobster-crab cakes. My steak was sooo tough. My goodness, I was so disappointed in how tough it was. I was cutting forever, I was chewing forever, and I pulled way too many tendons out of my mouth. Overall I was just extremely displeased with the quality of the meat. My fries were good. While the fries themselves were comparable to somewhere like chilis, the garlic/truffle flavor was really tasty. The crab cakes were not good either. The lobster meat was rubbery and the crab was overworked. I prefer my crab cake with lumps of crab meat, but here the crab cake consisted of shreds. I would also like to point out that the dish is advertised as two crab cakes and I received one large one. Maybe if they had split it in two, the lobster meat wouldn't have been so over-cooked. Houston has a plethora of steakhouses that beat this place by a landslide. I heard from friends that Cap Grille was not great, but I wanted to try it for myself. After this experience, I can confirm, they were telling the truth and it is indeed not great. Will not be returning Also, this was the only place I swiped my card yesterday. The transaction was completed at the back of the house, out of my sight, and by 10PM last night I had received an alert that an attempt to charge $1500 was made. Do with that info what you will.

The service FANTASTIC The drinks AMAZING The overall atmosphere CHIC and UPSCALE The flavor of the food IMMACULATE The food poisoning I suffered from the seafood? The WORST. Like almost went to the ER bad. Experienced numbness, chills, tingling all over, ect which I've never dealt with before when dealing with food poisoning. Thankfully, I have a cousin who's a doctor who chalked it up to most likely being ciguatera poisoning. This was back in May so it's been awhile. 3 of us went together, and all of us ordered seafood but different plates. I ate all of my plate along with a lobster bisque AND a few bites of the other 2 peoples plates. Like I said EVERYTHING was delicious, just upsetting that I got sick from their food. The Pan-Seared Sea Bass was my plate and it was *chefs kiss* delicious. I don't plan on avoiding this place, quite frankly wish I could go back but FOR ME at the moment it's too pricey.

The Capital Grille has always been great and memorable. The service, food, drinks and ambiance are nicely done, and our recent dinner experience at the Houston - CityCentre location was no different. This place is deserving of a high rating. Their shellfish platter, lobster macaroni and cheese and tuna appetizers were such a treat, and the bone-in ribeye was perfection. Each menu item is better than the next and truly enjoyable. Five stars for a great dinner experience.

The food is always great so no complaints there but my brave review is definitely the service. There were laughs, and background information on the restaurant, some of the chefs, and servers and it was also very interesting. We tried so many menu items. We had like three or four boards and several brunch items. Of course, I got the cucumber honey lemonade and I made my friend try it too. Lol. Delicious as always. 10 out of 10. However, I will say that the new battle of the board is not Great like I remember. They had super basic flavors and the ones they did experiment with different combinations were actually pretty disgusting. So, after two boards of those, we got our true blue staple favorites on the original menu. That did the trick! I think I've been to this location once or twice but I absolutely will be coming again!

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. The package included a wine tasting and food pairing for up to 16 guests, and I paid more than $1,000 for the experience. When I contacted the winery to schedule our tasting, the ladies who assisted me were pleasant and helpful. I followed every requirement, submitted my guests' names in advance, and even visited the winery beforehand to tour the property. Although we were celebrating my birthday, I respected the restrictions and did not bring a cake, balloons, decorations, or anything else that was prohibited. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, and the wine and food pairings were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service during our tasting felt unnecessarily rigid and prevented the experience from being as welcoming and memorable as it could have been. Our tasting host seemed focused on keeping to a strict schedule and moving through the presentation. When members of our group raised their hands to ask questions, we often felt as though our participation was an inconvenience. During the vineyard tour, it was extremely hot because our event took place in July, so we hoped to move through that portion a little more quickly. Our host also appeared bothered by our desire to take pictures, even though we were simply enjoying the beautiful property and celebrating the occasion. Before the event, I requested traditional-height tables and chairs because several older ladies were attending and the low couches would be more difficult for them. I was told this could not be accommodated because Saturdays were busy and other parties would be using the room. However, our group was the only party in that room for the entire time we were there. While the room was gorgeous, the lack of flexibility was disappointing. Another issue that made me uncomfortable was the repeated reference to our experience as a "donated tasting." While the winery donated the package to the fundraiser, it was not donated to me. I purchased it at auction for more than $1,000. Continuously describing it that way felt dismissive and made us feel as though our experience was somehow less valuable than that of a regular paying customer. Ironically, other guests at the winery were warmer and more accommodating than some of the staff. They graciously offered to take pictures for us and complimented our group on how lovely we looked. We also purchased several bottles of wine at the end of the tasting. Overall, the winery is beautiful, the wine is good, and I am still interested in joining the wine club and returning. However, I hope the owners will provide additional customer-service training and encourage the staff to show greater warmth and reasonable flexibility. A wine experience should be about more than moving through a presentation and checking boxes. Guests should feel welcomed, appreciated, and excited to return--especially when the ultimate goal is to introduce new customers to the winery and build lasting relationships. This review definitely would have been four or possibly five stars if the service would have matched the beauty of the property.
