I was just trying to have dinner with my kids. The first red flag i experienced was the AWFUL wait time and the yelling i heard from the kitchen. Finally I got the chance to order. When my food arrived after another long wait my food was cold, hard, and had a finger nail in the fries so i'm guessing no gloves were worn. There isn't really anything good or bad about this place. I would put it more into a sports bar/ watering hole, category as opposed to a restaurant. The servers were really friendly and attentive, so that is where they really shine. It could also be because I was there around noon on a Saturday, so was pretty dead. The food itself was alright. Hostess was a little slow to seat us but, not a big deal. Immediately, our waitress started apologizing for the kitchen being backed up even though less than half the seats were occupied. I ordered the only local craft beer on the menu and they were out. Really, 7pm on a Friday? The draft I ordered next came flat but, I didn't complain. They finally brought our food. I knew the fries weren't right and the burger didn't seem right but, this was my first time in and I wasn't familiar with the menu. After eating about half the meal and not enjoying it, I pulled up the menu on the phone and realized that the order was completely wrong. Ordered a Southern Pride burger with sweet potato fries, was served a The Ringer burger with regular fries. Manager decided that I would have to pay full price since I had eaten some of the meal!!!! Service was almost non-existent. Sat for quite awhile without attention. No menus. Drink order came out wrong. No silverware. Waiter was inattentive and communication was difficult. Can't even give 1 star. This was our first time trying this restaurant because a few friends said it was good. 1. The server was less than friendly. 2. The fried pickles appetizer took a while to come out and when it did it was lukewarm. Told the server and she replied that they just cooked them so told her to take it off our bill because we knew our food would be coming out momentarily. 3. I've enjoyed lunch here a half dozen times, and on each occasion both the food and the service were excellent. There is very pleasant outdoor seating with overhead fans, as well as comfortable indoor seating. The chicken fingers, onion rings and slaw are extraordinary. This place is tops in my book. Food is good, most of the time. Service is good. Ambiance, it's ok, but it's a mess trying to get in the door. Why is everyone crowding the door inside? You cannot get inside, and everyone is just standing around because it's unclear as to sit at clean table as sign says, or do they seat you? Who's in line? Nobody KNOWS. Been here twice now and similar issues both visits. Came in and self seated. No waitress for over ten minutes. Once the waitress arrived, service was good and very pleasant. Food was ordered and served within fifteen minutes. Wings were a little undercooked with not much sauce at all. When we asked for BBQ sauce, we were offered A1.... Fish and chips was ok, although portions were very small and fish was mildly warm. Beer was good and cold. Likely will not return for a third visit. read more

An awesome steak. So, went to Goodfellas tonight for my Christmas/Birthday dinner. I got the Sirloin Steak and I'm here to tell you that that steak was one of the best steaks I have had. I've been to a lot of steak houses (including Ruth's) and they did not come close to this steak, I could almost cut it with a fork. Kudos to the chef on a job well done. Saw a number of good reviews and looked forward to coming here to try the food. Overall the place seemed nice until I got inside... The staff was unfriendly and inattentive to other customers besides me, especially the bartender as I had decided to sit at the bar with a couple of friends. As a paying customer I felt ignored and frustrated because I just wanted to order my food and enjoy my meal. However, from the lack of attentiveness to the rude and very prejudiced and discriminatory commentary made by the bartender, I did not have the best experience here. I wouldn't come back here again. Definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. I'd suggest going to the PK BBQ and TR's bar & grill that's in the same area. read more

Goodfellas Grill & Bar. My post to your page disappeared. And when trying to leave a review, it oddly wouldn't let me. Here from out of town for soccer and wanted a decent sit down meal between games. Super thankful for the several hour break between games because the 1.25 hour wait time just to get some type of food was ridonkulous. 54 minutes after ordering we brought it to their attention that we had to leave shortly and that we still hadn't been served, we had no refills on our drinks, and we had no silverware (apparently didn't need them anyways). Their "special" of the day was fried chicken with either light or dark meat. We didn't get this special. But oddly, after complaining about the food taking forever, my kiddo was served his "buffalo wings " which weirdly looked like their fried chicken special with franks hot sauce dumped on it to "shut up the customers who weren't happy". 5 minutes later my cheese quesadilla arrived with tortilla shells and cold shredded cheese in the middle of it. ‍ But hey, I'm super thankful that y'all took off the $2.00 in lemonade we drank from our bill. That helped a lot. We get wings for takeout every couple of weeks. They used to have the best crispy wings! I've gone out of my way to suggest their wings to everyone I know. We ordered wings for takeout a couple of weeks ago and the skin was chewy and hardly crispy at all. I was disappointed but things happen sometimes. We had family over last night and decided to give them another chance, and once again not crispy and too chewy :(. I'm not sure what changed but I hope it gets fixed. Went for Friday lunch. We started off with the pretzels which looked and tasted like they were straight out of the microwave oven but the cheese dip was good. My wife had the beef sandwich which was stuffed with meat and she liked it. I had the wings with their special sauce and onion rings. The onion rings tasted like the came out of the same box as the pretzels. Most were over cooked and more like dark brown or black onion straws. The wings were large but but left a terrible taste after eating one and it was not due to the sauce which was tasty. It was the first time ever I left wings behind at any restaurant. Perhaps they needed marinated before cooking. The servers were very nice and very attentive and we ate in the dining room where the atmosphere was bland. The prices seemed reasonable. The first warning sign we should have listed to our gut was waiting forever to get seated even though there were many available tables. The service was just bad from start to finish. But when you serve cold chicken that is undercooked (you know - raw in the middle) you should just call it a day. Something tells me I will be listening to my gut later tonight. This is our third time coming to goodfellas and each time it was more disappointing. We went on a Saturday night and expected it to be busy but not for our food to take almost 40 mins to get to our table. Stopped by this little gem, in a understated building on rt. 378 . We discovered very friendly staff, we arrived at lunch time . While busy, we were greeted & seated immediately . We ordered the ringer burger, fried onions, bacon, cheese burger with Carolina gold sauce on a bun & a chicken salad plate. The Burger was outstanding ! The Chicken salad was very good - mostly chicken and it was NOT over dressed or seasoned. The veggies were still crunchy and just the right amount. This place is terrible unless you just want a beer. They used to be located in a strip center just down the road. The food has always been mediocre and the service ok. Since they have moved to their new stand alone location, the service is poor and the food, if you can get it, is terrible. We tried to eat there on Saturday evening. The place was half full, but we were told that food would take at least an hour. It's unfortunate that there aren't any other restaurants right around this area, but do yourself a favor and drive on into town where anywhere you go is better than this place. read more

We called in for a takeout order. We had car trouble on the way to pick it up. We tried about 6-7 times to call them back to let them know we needed to delay the order or to have them keep it warm for us. It took about 1 1/2 hours for us to get our vehicle going again. The restaurants phone had apparently been put on some kind of after hours messaging system because we never could reach anyone at the restaurant after it rang 10 to 15 times every time we called. When we got to the restaurant, my husband explained why we were late getting there. The food was cold and the shrimp was very tough. Our car problems weren't the restaurants fault, but them not answering their phone was. We have not placed anymore to go orders at this restaurant. The food there is usually good. read more

Usually this place is great but today nope. Walked in at 12:45. There was a sign to seat yourself at a clean table. There were only two tables but they hadn't been clean. So waited 10 mins. Tried to go to dinner here tonight. Went to the hostess stand and told the girl we needed a table for 2. She said you have to wait for the hostess, I'm a server. While waiting for the hostess another couple came in behind us. The hostess went up to them and asked how many were in their party. They said 4 and she pointed to a table and said you can sit there. I said excuse me we were ahead of them and she said well I'm out of tables now so it will be a half hour wait because it's trivia night. We've been here quite a few times.
