I eat here often. Usually it's a salad. Notice when I eat their single vegan burger with gluten bread and grilled onions don't feel great. I am very careful as I have celiac disease it must be gluten free! I discovered yesterday that the sprout bread this women would take my order gave me a spout bun. That was 2 days ago. I was super sick but figured it was something else. Woke up with a horrible rash. Yesterday i went back as I am in town and worry where to eat. I ordered the same thing, but I got a different burger and a different "gluten free" bread. I asked if they changed gluten free bread and said no it's been the same. So I don't trust that these people give a damn about your wellness. 2 days ago had a long conversation with order in take women about why it makes it gluten free. Meanwhile she fed me a crock of story and fed me poison instead. Guy yesterday fed me gluten free as I didn't feel sick, itchy (still have the horrible rash as it takes months to go away). I always ask, question, then when I receive it confirm gluten free correct? That's horrible. Goodness is one of those places that successfully delivers healthy food that tastes great. I haven't had one item yet that has disappointed me. My favorite thing to get here is The Goods smoothie. It has the perfect amount of sweetness to it, and the avocado lends a creaminess that just makes it sooo good. Other great things I've had here are the tuna salad sandwich (very fresh tasting) the og burrito (just a damn good burrito). My partner loves the Azteca bowl. As you can see, the menu is quite diverse. There is something for everyone here! Service has always been decent here. I'm not sure why but every time I come I take long to order and the cashiers have always been very patient and helpful, answering any and all questions I have an even giving suggestions for things (I wouldn't have tried the smoothie without the cashier's input, so thank you for that!). I usually love goodness and make it a treat of mine. However today's experience lacked in what I was used to. We got a mango açaí bowl and avocado toast for $19.73 total. Usually I don't mind paying higher prices but today I did. The quality wasn't what I was used to. The açaí bowl was soupy and amateur and the avocado toast was more sprouts than anything. It looked like a thin green avocado paste on soggy bread versus fresh avocado. Neither items had the look or the texture that I've had there before. Thank GOODNESS we have Goodness Fresh Food and Juice Bar here in Tucson, AZ. As a person that attempts at being healthy her fair share of the time, I find our options in Tucson are extremely limited. The few healthy options we seem to have are either underwhelming, lacking in flavor, or in super inconvenient locations. Goodness is absolutely NONE of these, and checks off all the necessary boxes. Goodness is regularly changing up their menu and keeping it interesting, while maintaining a consistently delicious standard. The atmosphere is casual, but aesthetically pleasing (AKA SUPER CUTE), and the staff is always helpful. I am a big fan of the Turkey Pesto sandwich, especially when toasted, and the BF loves the Azteca bowl (adds steak). We always mean to try new menu items, but we love these options so much, we always keep coming back for the same thing! I can't wait to try more options! My only suggestion would be if they had an easy online ordering system to order, pick up, and have it ready when you arrive (OR PLEASE BE ON ONE OF THE FOOD DELIVERY SERVICES)! Goodness gracious....how did I not find this place earlier. 5 Star Juice place all day long The juice menu here is a delight to find. One of the few places that you can find green juice that isn't tainted by the addition of sherbet or yogurt in order to make it taste sugary. A great selection of juices that will keep you healthily for years to come. Certainly juice is not all they have. That was all that I had today but the menu had a few items that caught my eye. Specifically the grilled cheese with tomato soup mad me think of my childhood and a blustery day. Now, there are not that many blustery days here in Tucson but this dish will definitely be calling my name soon. I was impressed with the clean feel and the friendly staff. I have to admit I didn't exactly give the easiest order with my juice and I had several modifications. I was reached out to after posting my review and was asked how the wrong could be made right. We were welcomed back into the restaurant today and greeted with kindness and excellent hospitality by the manager. After apologizing he then proceeded to cover our meal. Once we were seated, we had a good chat about service and what he expects from his employees. I learned a bit more about what Goodness strives for in hospitality and what we received originally was not what is expected of Goodness employees. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed our visit. I previously rated them very high, but I had a very unpleasant experience last time I came here. I ordered "The Veggie" that is described as "garlic kale, butternut squash, roasted peppers, hummus, balsamic glaze, french roll." Well, my sandwich ONLY contained the French roll (which was soggy and not toasted) and roasted peppers. The kale was replaced with spinach without them informing me of the change. THAT WAS IT!! Soggy bread with some spinach and a little bit of red pepper! Where was my kale? What about my balsamic glaze? Where was my hummus? I do not enjoy writing bad reviews, but I just feel like I was so cheated. I paid $12 for such a crappy sandwich, and that's just not right. I've visited Goodness multiple times, and each time I was hoping it would be better, I was disappointed. Consistently a hit or a miss, but more often than not an overpriced miss. Yes they do have some good things I would recommend like their Tacos and the Tofu Noodle bowl, but other than those, their smoothies are bland and their other items just aren't up to par. I got the "Morning Bowl" that lists it has Kale in it, yet there was only wilted lettuce in it and barely any of the turkey sausage it claims to have. My friend got the Azteca Steak bowl and there was such a disproportionate amount of rice and a tiny amount of steak we thought that maybe they were running out of steak and just didn't feel like making more for her meal. I got the morning bowl, super fluffy eggs, balanced fillings. Absolutely adored it. Definitely coming back for another one. I came with my friends, one got the roasted vegetable bowl, and had only one complaint that the vegetables were cold, but that was the main part of the dish, so she really just didn't pay attention. My other friend got the breakfast burrito, hers took a little longer than our bowls, but that's because they roll the burrito and then put it back on the flat top to make the entire outside warm, which is a GENIUS idea. On the service aspect, food came out quick, and the workers kept checking in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food. As we walked out, we were thanked, which was great. Met a friend here at noon on a Tuesday and the wait wasn't bad at all! This place really reminds me of Chopshop in Phoenix! I wanted something light, so my friend recommended the Teriyaki Veggie bowl with brown rice (the other option is quinoa) -- Super delicious but I was craving more sauce! Maybe next time I'll ask for extra sauce. I was actually surprised at how much food I got! I ate all the veggies but was left with so much rice! I think it's just because I wasn't super hungry though so I didn't eat as much rice as I probably would've. I also ordered a cold brew coffee which was great! But man, it was strong. Tried the "Mango Jungle," and boy was it mango-licous. The fruit toppings were extremely fresh and packed full of flavor. However, there was a bit too much honey in the bowl for my liking. The bowl also had an amazing crunch to it, so I would def recommend for those that love texture with their foods. I also had their chocolate chunk pretzel cookie; this might not be the exact name, but anyways it was amazing. I'm not usually a fan of sweets with a salty element, but this is honestly a treat I see myself consistently ordering. Usually when I eat out, I want to indulge. I can prepare decent-tasting and healthy food at home. My friend and I wanted a light, healthy lunch before a workout, and this place fit the bill. We got in line in the nick of time, as a long line formed right after we ordered. Goodness is an order-at-the-counter joint, you take a number and your food is brought to you. I've been into green juice lately so I ordered a Green Bully and the chicken and brie sandwich. It was hard to choose what to have for lunch. I also considered the Thai bowl and a couple of the salads. The breakfast menu (served all day) looked good too. I liked my sandwich. The juice was okay, way too much ginger, and I've had better from other juice bars. It was quite busy, so we got two seats at the bar. You can watch the juice being made and food being cooked. There is a yoga studio nearby, and it appears members come eat here in droves after their class. A VAST majority of people there looked as though they had just come from a workout or were going to one. They had a location at La Encantada that closed, and I'm surprised, because I would think this concept would do best in that area, but hey, it's clearly doing great here too. My green juice and sandwich (with chips) was about $18. A bit spendy, but not more so than most other restaurants. They do seem to have successfully struck that sweet spot of good for you AND tasty.
