Sports equipment, also nicely organized & clean.

Compared to the two other Goodwills in the area that I stop by, this one is the tidiest. It is smaller than the others, but has a pretty decent toy/game section, which is my main interest. The frame and wall art items were also really nice though, so I picked up 3 of those. Scored some posh Swell water bottles, too, for just $1.99 each. And a cute bird tea & saucer set that I will do something with, not sure. Maybe turn into a mini cactus garden. For $1.99, it was a steal. Clean, organized, well-stocked, and smelled good. Don at check-out was helpful and wrapped up my tea set for me. All of the staff members said hi and offered to help. There was a designated staffer to clean every cart between use, too. Very nice covid precautions observed. I'll be back!

    Really cute vanity and lamp!

Found some great goodies in this store but the customer service from The cashier and greeter were substandard. While I waited in line to checkout, I noticed how friendly the cashier, Jackie with the salt and pepper bangs, was with the customer in front of me so I expected nonetheless. When I approached the counter, Jackie immediately reached for my items after ignoring my greeting. I took my items out of reach and said hello again and Jackie reluctantly said hello. I can't figure out why would Jackie be so friendly with the lady in front of me and try to ignore me as if I was invisible but maybe it's because of my abundance of melanin, but I'm not sure. Jackie avoided eye contact, didn't say thank you, and moved slower than spilled molasses bagging up my items. The greeter, Alejandro, also failed to greet me or show gratitude for my business and yet I heard him say thank you and hello to other shoppers. I don't understand why as a customer who minded her own business and shopped like everyone else, received such poor customer service but I'll probably be back just to let them redeem themselves (and get more deals). I swung by this Goodwill location yesterday afternoon to see if I could pick up some things I've been looking for. They didn't have what I was looking for; yet, I was pretty happy walking around this store. This is the cleanest and most organized Goodwill I've ever seen! The good-quality clothes were hung neatly (I saw maybe one shirt falling off a hanger), the clean housewares/toys/books/electronics were sitting lovely, and there was plenty of room to walk around and explore without bumping into other people. I was drooling over a couple chairs in the furniture section that were in great condition at great prices (I honestly would have taken them home if I had the space in my car). This is a seemingly small location and doesn't have the biggest selection, but it's a smooth shopping experience.

Oh...I dislike having to write this, but I have too. St.Vincent was the place I enjoyed going to…read morejust to escape the world and find some peace and quiet while I hunted and pecked to find deals...not for resale, but for myself. I am not slamming the top manager. He is only trying to make money for the program St. Vincent has to help people in need. As a past reselller, estate sale conductor, a once partner to an estate sale company, I can see things of value...not clothing, I can't stand that. But collectibles. I've noticed new patterns. 1. Prices are up to at least 1/2 the cost of an ebay asking price. 2. Broken collectibles still priced high as if undamaged. 3. Collectible pieces put behind the check out counter holding high prices. 4. A new sneaky practice I only saw at a Goodwill I was a manager at and discountinued, the practice of burying large items of collectible furniture, or marking it sold. To back up this claim, I have seen flippers (you get to recognize them after you see them a slew of times) ask for the manager...ugg...and he comes out and I hear, "Hey...what can you do on the price for this?" The worst piss me off time was when a man walked into the work area the public is not allowed to go in and he came out with the manager. He pointed to a folding MCM dining table, I knew what it was, and the possiblity of it's worth, and it was sold for 10 bucks. Yeah....a cherry/walnut folding dining table for 10 bucks. I've seen Heywood Wakefield dining sets behind chairs (we are talking now in the thousands). 1930s metal cabinets or display cases which bring in a pretty good 200-300 bucks return...sold for 15 dollars. That gets my goat more than anything. Goodwill stopped the practice of that. They do it for themselves now. The people who donate items out of generosity or need, may write things off their taxes. To me, this is against the policy of helping people in need. Yeah, people can say...if you want a deal get there before the flippers...I get it. Today was the 'straw that broke the camels back'. I was going to pick up my meds. I stopped at the store for snits and giggles. I saw two items...no price tag. The lady in front said she would get the manager. Now, she is new I think and have tried to talk with her before. Her attitude is worse than a person with hallotosis, and b.o. at the same time. Her attitude. She placed a price on them which if they were at regular price I would walk. But today was half off day. Score. Yes, I bought them. One for me and one for my daughter. Then I saw a wall coat rack bar. It was 6 feet long made of hard wood. Did i want to buy it for my wall and coats? NO. My bed broke last night and I had to repair the frame. So,I thought, hey, I could buy the rack and support the mission, and save money because I am a person in financial need. It was not priced. The lady who helped me the first time said, it was not marked I couldn't buy it. Then she called the 'manager' I was told it belonged to another piece of furniture. I said, no...it was a wall coat rack. She insisted it was part of another piece of furniture. I remained polite, and respectful. I pulled up a photo of a similar product to 'teach' someone it was not what they thought. It didn't matter. Now the story was, "it is not priced and had to go through the process." exact quote. I looked at her. "Really? You priced these two thing." She just reiterated her excuse. I had felt a feeling I hadn't before. On top of the sneakiness, high prices, and rudeness by this one person, I realized, I can't shop here anymore. I stopped looking for that cool handmade mug by an artesian from Europe. I stopped looking for the depression glass juicer. I stopped looking for Theodore Haviland China, Waterford Crystal, Limoges, Belleck..and more. This store has become a mutant offshoot of Goodwill and Salvation Army. Now, for clothing fine, and that is great for people who wear clothes. I do...lol...but for everything else...it just seems it is not about helping people anymore, but helping those who don't need it (flippers...hey if a person wants to flip, let them register and donate 25% of the profit to St. Vincent) and not helping those who do need help. Not everyone needs to walk in and fill out a form who is in need. Most of us, walk in and look for something to save a few or a bunch of bucks. Oh well...the last of thrift stores for escaping reality is over for me at St. Vincent, which a flipper may enjoy because I might pick up an American Brilliant Cut Glass with a first generation Copley marking which could bring in over $600! I know because I sold a second generation one ten years ago for $250. No more. And to top all this off, is hearing an employee talk about the flippers who come in. Okay fine. But don't rub our faces in it.

I rung the doorbell and a grumpy old man with glasses came to door. No hello, no verbiage. Either he has a vocal problem or didn't want to be bothered I couldn't figure it out. He reached for a bag I placed on the ground and took it inside. He came back and thought I was going to hand him the 2nd bag which I placed it on the ground for him. I wish they had more hours. But what they have offers enough time for me to shop there. Such a pleasant shopping experience! My Husband luvs the store too & trust me he is not into shopping. We both had a great time! The store is super neat & the prices are low to very fair. Push baskets to shop with. Enough room to browse around. Round racks for clothing so you don't have to be in a narrow isle & in someone's way. Dressing rooms if you need them. The clothes & other items are very nice. Not junk as other stores try to sell & for high prices. The prices are good & reasonable. I go for clothes & more. But they do have a very nice selection of furniture, dishes & house items, toys, shoes, nice coats & much more. This was my first time shopping at this wonderful store. I plan to go back as much as I can. I was lucky to be there when all blue tickets of clothes were only $1! Yes, $1!. You can't even buy anything at a $1 Tree store for $1 anymore! Some things are a bit pricey but not bad at all! I love shopping at store like this. Many people donate nice clothes etc. Also I luv finding different kinds of jackets, coats, tops & more that you do not see in chain stores. The staff is very friendly greeting waiting to get in customers with a cheerful "Good Morning" & so pleasant to deal with. For the holidays I see the store has extended hours. The down side is the regular hours are only 3 weekdays open from 10 am till 4 pm. But I will take it. I am retired so very lucky I can shop here & it is not super far for us to drive to. There is a huge parking lot in the back as well. I can't wait to shop here again. For some time I was shopping at another thrift store & 1 of the volunteers was so unpleasant & mean to me. So, It looks like they lost alot of my business. This is another reason I am so happy Gerry & I finally tried this store. We always drive by it & now we can shop here & find some nice things. A very cheerful & pleasant shopping experience for sure.

Almost any volunteer is wonderful & very friendly & kind. But today I encountered such a rude witch! I am very mellow & I bought alot as everything in the store was half off. Well, I bought so much & when I went to pay there was a beautiful black lady working the register & she is so kind & cheerful. But the woman bagging my items had a very mean attitude. She jumped on me because I removed the hangers. She demanded to know what I did with them. I told her I put the hangers on a rack. She went off on me! It took me by surprise because as I mentioned usually all the volunteers are super nice. This lady has a lousy attitude. She also told the nice clerk the wrong prices. Everything was half off & that nice lady had to correct it. The mean lady proceeded to rag on & on about how now she has to get all the hangers I hung up! I did tell her I am sorry I did not know it was so important to her. But she just acted like a jerk. I never had this experience with anyone there. The baskets are very small & I was shocked this jerk would get on me like this. I remove the hangers to make room for what I buy. She was totally out of line. I posted this on their page & I seen it was removed! Don't they care if someone is out of control working at the store? If I see her again I will not put up with her or just not reply at all. It is hard enough in this world without fools like this around. I spent $64 over there & you would think my business would be appreciated. I have shopped at other thrift & resale stores & always am treated with kindness. This lady should not volunteer if she has such a sour attitude. It is a good store but avoid the small blond with greying hair. I am 68 & do not act so crabby like her. Who ever is in charge talk to this fool & tell her to treat customers with kindness or hit the road. I am sure they can find volunteers who are nice.
