Really clean and inviting Goodwill in Torrance
    Marisela E.

I stopped here last minute to see if they had any toys for my toddler and they let me look around even though they were going to close in a minute. I appreciated it so much because kids grow out of toys so quickly and recycling toys is better than adding more to the carbon footprint. They were kind to have me check out a few minutes after 8pm and did it with a smile. I definitely want to come back earlier to see what other goodies I can find. Thank you to the store manager Corina and her coworkers. Today's finds: - Kids water table $9.99 (original price range $50-$100) - Infant Life Jacket $3.99 (practically brand new) - Glass Tea Steeper Water Bottle $2.99 (brand new)

So much more organized and open and clean compared to my usual go-to! Stopped by one afternoon mostly because I was curious and was surprised how well everything was put together. I noticed their stuff are always on the constant task of putting things away to where they belong. No wonder it's so nice and clean everywhere! I came away with a few bargains. Who knew I'd find things I didn't know I needed! Parking was easy. Staff was nice. I might just dump my usual Goodwill store and patronize this one instead...

Priced at $9.99 with original $3.99 price tag still on it

ARE THE PEOPLE WHO PRICE THINGS HERE HIGH ON SOMETHING? Goodwill prices are insane lately, but this store is next-level. I will include some pics because you've gotta see it to believe it! I've picked up a couple of nicer items here, but seldom stop in at this one because there is so much absolute garbage, most of it overpriced. Oh and I bought a pair of jeans across town, where I was told I could exchange "within the district" - came here the following day and was told they no longer do exchanges. Beyond pissed about that! Returned to the original store across town where they said that this store absolutely should've been able to complete the exchange. Guess what? I lost the receipt in the meantime, so now I'm out $10 thanks to the laziness and incompetence here.

She was proudly promoting Goodwill and so passionatly letting customers know what was on sale. As it turned out I had previously worked with a her as her supervisor (District trainer/ Director of Retail) years ago. I see that they're working hard. Not very happy with how the houseware department is everything is scrambled and hats mixed with glassware and toys mixed with books. I don't see a short of stuff I think that they can do better with making it be a little bit more presentable. I've stopped shopping here because the prices have gone outrageous. I've donated tremendously and when I need something, I just can't buy it because I know it's over priced. Dollar tree items that are marked up two dollars more. so unnecessary when so much money is already being generated with the Goodwill stores. Let's get the items sold and stop overcharging people that need the items at a reduce price. There's no need to go up high on clothing when most of this will end up in the trash anyway it's coming in more than it's going out so let's go back to a better way of pricing items. This is for the community it's supposed to be a place where once can shop when they need something for their family. Things are high everywhere. A book should not be 6.99 sell it for sell or eventually it will land in the land filled. This message is for the department in-charged of pricing, let's not be greedy. Fix the issue at hand or we will stop shopping here and we are definitely not going to be donating here. There's plenty of other places we can donate that are not greedy.

Home stuff little bit small, not much in furniture, but some good small finds. If you want to get the jump on the brand labels, you might want to come in when they open up, as I saw a lady with a cart full of (stacked really high) of clothing and filled w/brand name athletic shoes (Vans, Nike, etc). I get that people resell at yardsales for money, everyone needs it, especially with everything going up but our pay. However, she had all the good sh$)% and if you don't want to miss out on getting a piece, a rag, just a pair of brand name shoes, come earlier before she takes it all. Or go to the yard sales and pay more. Help them out our community, do what you like. I like being the early bird tho. Large parking lot and the area is not bad, don't believe the people who say it's scary, they obviously live in a bubble. It's okay.

It was a bit disorganized that the items are not sorted by size or by color, but they are making an effort to organize the items. I saw employees, putting items onto the racks. I also noticed that they are arranged by clothing item: Women's, coats, women's jeans, men's jeans" and so on. That being said I went digging. I checked for brand, size, type of fabric and if it looked brand new. I found 9 items in less than 30 minutes. I'm not even trying. I went to the fitting room to try them on. I found a sign that says you can only try 3 items or less. But because the store looked semi-empty and I genuinely came here to buy sweaters, I went in anyway. I'm sorry. Out of the 9 items. I liked 3 of them. One of the items I put away was a vintage wool sweater (made in the USA) and while it was beautiful, the neck was small, the fabric felt stiff, and on top of that it reeked of dust. My mom even commented that I smelled like dust after putting the unwanted clothes back in the "go back rack." The 3 that I found were: - Madewell cardigan - mustard color ($9) - J. Crew Teddie sweater - caramel color ($8) - a men's sweater that I can't tell the name of from the cursive. But it looked brand new. it was a dark burgundy color. ($8) Note-able go-backs: - Levi's plaid checkered button up long sleeve shirt (red and black) - Tommy Hilfiger sweater in dark green (I regret not taking this but it was too big for me) - Nordstrom cashmere blend white sparkly sweater - this was too small at the waist - felt like a cropped sweater. not my style. My mom found vintage 80's/90's princess house dishes for $6. That is a steal considering she bought one at an antique mall in San Juan Capistrano for $35. Now, the prices are surprisingly low compared to Salvation Army in South West Torrance area. the Madewell cardigan alone would have been $15-20 if I found it there. Overall, this is a great place to go treasure hunting. Wish you lots of luck.
