We decided to check out this store because it is in the neighborhood. We then decided to use their business for new tires when they offered a 39.95 tow service. We had checked around and gotten higher bids. At first we were only going to get 2 new tires but Jose pointed out that another tire on the car was bald. We decided to get 4 new tires and an alignment. We found Jose to be friendly, knowledgeable and found the customer service at Goodyear to be far better than Sears across the street. read more

These people are super friendly and really make an effort to go the extra mile. We had a recurring problem with our fuel pump and they worked with us for a while on it. BUT they weren't able to actually solve the problem. Being nice and helpful is only part of the battle. If they can't actually fix the car then that's a bigger issue. We ended up taking it to the dealer and they repaired it. I would say stick to tires and oil changes at places like this. read more

I got my oil changed here several times. The staff were always friendly, and I liked that I was able to make an appointment. They were efficient and the price is right, but I always felt like they were trying to sell me something. If there's something actually wrong with my car that's one thing, but I hate when I feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I'm a woman. I don't want to ever feel pressured to get work done - especially when I don't have the money at that moment. read more

Brought my vehicle to this location to have an AC flush and recharge done. After waiting for 1.5 hours they informed me that the attachment for their machine broke and I would have to bring my car back in two days. I proceeded to drive off and pull over to pop the hood and see that the cap for the low pressure port was missing and the AC system wouldn't even engage. I return back to the shop where they then proceeded to try and place a different cap on that did not belong to my vehicle before admitting they lost the cap. I was left in worse condition with an AC system completely empty of freon and not functioning. The shop never apologized or even tried to be accommodating for the inconvenience. I will never bring any of my vehicles to Goodyear for any further services. read more

I wish i could give zero stars. These guys are scammers who use the classic bait and switch You're better off taking your car to Wal-Mart, of all places. My father took his car to Goodyear on Sunday, and was told they cannot do a 15-20 minute oil change without a reservation. He makes the reservation, they obviously know what type of car he is driving at this point. He shows up Monday morning for his appointment, presents his coupon for the $18.95, and is told they cannot do the $18.95 oil change since the car is turbocharged, and it "takes a special oil". A "special oil" that cost $55+ for an oil change. The only exemptions to the $18.95 oil change, according to Goodyear, are cars that have a canister type oil filter, which this car does not. Obviously he chooses not to let them do the oil change. Message to the scammers at Goodyear: Don't try to scam people who have been working on engines since they were kids. And to anyone with a turbocharged car: You engine does not need a "special oil" because it's turbocharged. Change it regularly, and let the turbo cool down a little by idling a couple of minutes when parking if you've been spooling it up a lot, and it will last 200k+ miles. read more

Here it is Sunday and yes, flat tire on my nice European sedan. Kids and I loaded into a cab and went to church. But then, still the flat tire. So, I put enough air in it to hobble on over to Goodyear at 907 E. 41st Street. The tire was too badly damaged to repair. I told Goodyear I'd like to take it to the dealership since the tires are expensive and possibly under road hazard warranty. Without charging me one slim dime, they took off the damaged front tire and moved the rear tire to the front and put the spare on the back for safety reasons. They also wrapped my damaged tire in plastic and put it in the trunk so that my stuff doesn't get grimy. Thus, I have a reasonably driveable car that I can use around town until the dealership opens tomorrow. These are good peeps. read more

Absolutely terrible service. With an online reservation and all, it took them 2:25 minutes for a basic oil change and in cabin filter... they blew their online time estimate by over twice the time. As I asked what was taking so long I started watching them from the window... 3 guys leaning on my car chit-chatting away while one of them worked on the air filter... one of them was the manager! I'm never coming back here again! They weren't even sorry and couldnt care less that I was unhappy. read more

I took my car into this GoodYear about two months ago because I had a flat tire. I waited two hours for them to tell me my car needed 4 new tires because the the thread was worn completely down on all of them... I knew that was a lie, this girl knows how to take care of her tires! I told them I would just take the one to replace the flat. I was told that one tire would cost me $250! I drive a fiat, the tires arent that big on it & there aren't that many options... so I asked what exact tire they were trying to charge me that much for... the same exact tire I had just googled in my two hour wait that Walmart carried for $99, which I pulled up online and showed them. The guy said they didn't have the tire in shop so their's had a shipping cost plus the cost of their workers putting it on. I told him I'd rather go to Walmart and put the tire on myself. He tried to negotiate by dropping the price gradually but I wasn't having it. I asked my boyfriend to look at it, he put a $5 plug in it, assured me the threading was good on it & I haven't had a single issue with it since. read more

Mike and the employees at Goodyear are great. I called needing a valve stem replaced on a Saturday, and they got me an appointment within a few hours of calling. I drive a foreign car, and they warned me that the tire sensor that they had to put in the tire may not be able to sync with my computer, but at least I would have it fixed until such time that I could take it to the dealership to get the tire sensor synced. Mike said that if the dealership replaced the tire sensor, I could return the tire sensor Goodyear gave me for a refund. That's exactly what ended up happening, and Goodyear issued me the refund without trouble. Thanks again for being honest and trustworthy. read more

They have very helpful front desk people that will get you the best possible price on what you need for your car. I compared the work they did (shocks, brakes, few electrical things) to other places and town and the other places were at least 20% higher. I will go back to Goodyear for all my automotive needs from tires, to alignment and inspections even. They are also very fast and convenient. read more

I just stopped in for a free tire pressure check-up and Jose was awesome. He pointed out the reason I've been losing pressure in one of my tires and totally took care of it. I need new tires, so we talked about a variety of options, and I feel very confident in their service. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will certainly be going back to him. read more

I'm sick and tired of taken advantage of. Went for an oil change. They stayed honest with the $19.99, but I replaced my engine belts a few weeks ago, and they tell me it needs to be replaced. No. They wanted even more $$$ with other loads of bull. Juan and Jose were at the front. I am very pleased with the service that I received at Goodyear. There were about five very difficult things they had to do on my Toyota tundra 2000. I was a little bit concerned that something might not go well because this was my first time to go to Goodyear. In the end four out of the five items were done successfully. The fifth item was a little more challenging and Goodyear stepped up, did extra work and did not charge a lot of extra money for it. I have to say this is one of the best experiences I've had with an auto repair shop. These guys are very honest and know what they're doing. Thanks Mike! read more

I have an older car that is in need of a little TLC (the tires are bald, the timing belt has never been replaced and I'm @160K miles, and the engine has been hesitating/dragging quite a bit). I went in and spoke with Ralph and talked through all my options. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and answered all of my questions. At the end of the day, I walked out with 4 new tires (he gave me last month's sale price!) and quotes for the other jobs. He wasn't pushy at all. I'll probably be back to get a tune up. I went to the shop for Oil change .After inspection mechanic said " your vehicle need to replace serpentine belt and also flash break fluid too. .I said ok do it. ( before this job my AC was working fine ) after mechanic job vehicle hand over me..i just drove mile and turn on my AC I felt warm air instead of cool air .take it back to the shop and make complaint . store clark said ok let me check .after few minutes he said sign on paper for AC inspection ($ 34 fee + Freon $26 ) b coz Freon is very low. I said ok plz do it...after 15 minutes he said your Freon is full but your AC compressor are not working...They ruin my AC compressor in serpentine belt job..plz don't take your vehicle to the Tire shop for mechanical works Tire shop only for Tire job read more

Very negative experience w/ my daughter's tire replacement in January. Would not recommend

They create urgency in order to sell you products and services. I went to the 907 E 41st St, Austin, TX 78751 location for a flat tire. I had a nail directly in the middle of my tire, this is repairable. The salesman comes out and says that the nail is outside of the tread and it could not be repaired. He said that I had to buy a whole new tire. Also, that day I told him that my rear tire was losing air according to my dashboard console. The mechanic came in and told the salesperson that my sensor was faulty and that the tire was fine, I overheard this conversation. The salesperson goes outside and takes a hammer to my valve. He comes back and tells me that the tread on the valve is broken and that I had to buy a new one. I tried to ask him questions and I told him that when I put air in the tire this morning I didn't see any damage to the valve. He gets upset and stares at you in order to scare you from asking more questions and revealing his conniving, ulterior motive. If you decide to go here, take pictures of your tire and try to locate the puncture on your tire. Also, go outside and watch them work on your tire. Do not sit in the lobby. Put eyes on them, in order to keep them honest. read more

I feel dreadful for not writing this review a few weeks ago when I first took my car to the Hancock Good Year since the employees there not only provided incredible customer service but saved me a bunch of money in the process. This is honestly the best experience I've had in any automotive center. I had taken my car to a Precision Tune at N lamar earlier before taking it there, where I was charged 90 plus dollars for a diagnostics only to be advised that I had to replace my catalytic converter and it would cost me over 1200$ and they still wouldnt know if that was the only problem it had. I was shocked at the high price so I decided to get a second opinion since my car was less that 114000 miles and the check engine light had just turned on the day before and car was still running well. I took it to Good Year and guess what.... all it needed was a tune up, just a simple tune up. The guy Keri at Precision Tune never even mentioned that he would check to see if my car needed a tune up to begin with and just deliberately misled me by saying my vehicle needed that catalytic converter when it never did. That place should be call Imprecision Tune. Anyway after all was said and done I ended up saving almost 1000$ with Good Year. I was so happy to have saved so much money that I decided to get my brakes done there too boot because they quoted me half of what Precision had quoted me on pads . The manager there was incredibly honest and forthright and did not try to pull a con job like the Precision Tune people. I'll never take it back to Precision. Their dishonesty and lack of integrity are the reason mechanics get a bad rap. If you want trust worthy mechanics who wont try to rip u off, go to Good Year. BTW I wish I remembered the manager's name at GoodYear because my cellphone was almost dead and he lent me his charger so I could charge it while I was there.
