Horrible customer service. I went it to have them check my tire pressure under the warranty I bought with my tires from Goodyear. I was told it would be a while and they could make appt for the next day. I arrived the next day at my scheduled appointment time and was told they wouldn't be able to get to my car then. They made an appointment for the next day. I arrived at my scheduled appointment time the next day and AGAIN was told they wouldn't be able to get to my car that day. Ridiculous..... why make an appointment for someone and then tell them you can't work on the car then and it would be many hours later. read more

Went to have shocks and struts replaced, alignment, brake flush, coolant flush, and wiper blades replaced on a Toyota Corolla .Car was not finished on time as promised . The next morning , at 7:30, I went to pick up. I was told they heard a noise and I was supposed to get a call at 7 PM the night before , did not happen and don't know how I would have gotten one after they closed, but Keith said he wanted the Master Tech to look at it. I called again at 1030 and was told it was ready. I drove up at 1130, the same time Abigale , removed it from the rack. I Paid , no mention of the noise and drove out of the parking lot got next door to Starbucks and the engine overheating sign came on the dash, went back , the master tech and Abigale "fixed that ". Noise remains, brought back was told that " you don't want me to start charging you for parts you don't need take it to Toyota. BTW, I knew I needed an alignment after the shocks, but Keith, the service advisor, charges you for a 3 year alignment plan without telling you about it. Just be honest Goodyear, experience was a Bad experience. Do not recommend at all. Don't worry about the loyalty emails or even the sign on the counter. They don't care. read more

Dropped my vehicle off at 8:30am for a state inspection. No one gave me a status update until around 1:00pm. My vehicle was finally inspected around 3:45pm and failed due to brakes. Gave me an estimate for $600. When I relayed that I didn't want to get them done, had to wait another 45 minutes to get my vehicle back. When I checked out, didn't receive $20 off that I heard customer after customer receive from me being there all day. All while I was scolded about my brakes. Went to another shop the next day and was told my brakes were fine and that most likely I was being taken advantage off because Im a woman. read more

She goes above and beyond to make sure we get the best prices for tires, checks in while service is being done while we wait and makes sure we are always happy with the service. I have received nothing less than professional services at this Goodyear location. I have been going to this location for several years. Kenneth is always professional and Beverly has always been very pleasant. This is my second set of tires purchased at this location. I believe personnel have been honest in my dealings with them. Some years ago, I had inquired about an wheel alignment the Jeep dealer was insisting that I needed. However, I was skeptical because my steering wheel had absolutely no play in it what so ever. I took my car to this Goodyear location and I believe it was Joe that told me, "I wish I could charge you for an alignment, however, you do not need one." It was as I had already expected! I do know a little bit about cars and I take great care of mine. So I knew the Jeep dealership was trying to make and unnecessary sell. Thanx Goodyear Staff for your honesty and good service. I had such an amazing experience with Beverly Harris the assistant store manager when I got my new tires I decided to return for additional work. I had a full tune up with fuel performance service and ball joints/control arms replaced. Beverly worked with me on every discount and promotion available to keep my cost down while making sure I had high quality work done. I'm super grateful for her and Keith who was also super helpful. Do Not Go Here. These guys destroyed a perfectly good tire that I brought in for them to plug a hole created by a tac I ran over. They pulled the tac out and repaired the tire, then they called me and said the tire could not be repaired. They said instead of the $20 to repair my tire, I would need to pay $180 for a new tire. I refused and asked for my old tire back. They then punched another hole in the tire (from the inside) in a place that couldn't be repaired in order to cover their tracks. The plug in the original hole, which they said nothing to me about proves that their intent was to plug my hole, keep the tire to sell to someone else (probably as a new tire as it had almost ware on it), and the. Charge me $180+ for a replacement tire. I caught them in the act so they got aggressive with me and demanded that I leave the premises or they would call the police. This is the type of establishment we all hope to avoid. I don't mind paying for real issues, but these guys make up things and even destroy your property in order to steal your money. If you go there you could be spending your afternoon writing out a complaint like this and be out a perfectly good tire. read more

Set up a appointment for a brake job on my truck. Customer service was great leading up to and dropping off the truck. I was told I would get a call soon with a quote. Six and a half hours pass and I then get a call saying the service cannot be performed due to the size of my truck. I understand about the service not being performed but it shouldn't take almost 7 hours of waiting to be told that. Overall, I will not be taking any of my vehicles back to this location. read more

I had an issue with the Goodyear tires wearing out early. Joey worked with me, and we were able to make a great deal. As before, I recommend doing your homework and researching prices and warranties. We took a tire off our camper that was less than a year old that had a staple in it and took it to Goodyear for a simple plug repair. There was no other damage to the tire when we dropped it off. According to their salesman Keith, this simple repair should have cost $19.95. When we returned, Keith asked us to sign some paperwork and we told him we wanted to see the tire before we signed anything. A younger guy came out and said, "You know the tire can't be repaired, right?" So Keith went back into the garage then walked back into the front of the store with our tire a few minutes later, and there was another hole poked into the tire wall, which had obviously been poked into the tire from the inside out, that wasn't there before and that could not be repaired. This would require the purchase of a brand new tire, costing $170 plus tax, mounting, etc. An older employee came out from behind the counter aggressively toward us when we argued about this new damage. It was blatantly obvious to us they had destroyed a perfectly decent tire to turn a $20 job into a $200+ job. Upon returning home, we could see that they did indeed plug the original hole. It seems obvious to us they wanted us to simply accept their word and buy a new one from them, then they would sell our tire as a perfectly good used tire to someone else. They caused the extra damage when we wanted our tire back rather than just give us the repaired tire for $20. Goodyear will not be getting our business ever again, and we would advise everyone else to go elsewhere as well. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! We brought our car here for a safety inspection and were told that it failed because the ball joints were bad. They wanted to charge us $700 to replace it. I wasn't paying that so we waited until we could repair it. I also asked if there was anything else that needed to be replaced and they said "No." So six months later we had it repaired elsewhere and brought it back here to get our safety sticker. Note: We haven't driven the car anywhere except around the parking lot just to start the car every now and then. Well...we get a call that it's done and it failed again...and this time for a list of things! But the funny thing is one of the things they listed was that both front ball bearings were bad...and we had just replaced the left side before our first visit(so it didn't fail the first time). The idiot at the desk says "oh, well...it's the part then. The part must be bad because 30% of brand new parts are bad anyways." There's absolutely no way that all these things suddenly need to be fixed. We never even drove the car! And they never found these problems during our last visit! And to top it off they didn't even give us a new rejection sticker! We're definitely reporting them to the Police safety division. Btw, if this happens to you...you can contact someone from the state vehicle safety division and have it challenged. Someone from the state will go out with you and have everything re-inspected and if you win they have to pass you! Bottom line. Don't go here. They're scamming people to make money and definitely over charging. My dad owns a 5star rated mechanic shop back home and he charges less than half of what they're asking for. UPDATE: Took the car somewhere else and if passed and it only took the guy 15minutes to do the whole inspection. I'm definitely making a legal complaint about them. read more

I had an oil change recently. I made an appointment online. As soon as I dropped off my car, they started working on my car and it was done in less than 55min. The waiting area is very clean and it has bottles of water plus coffee and teas. The price was very reasonable. The service was excellent. The things I liked this place are I did not have to wait for a long time to get an oil change and the place is clean. There are places nearby, but I don't get good customer services there. It is right off Rt1 and near the Publix. I will go back to this place again! read more

I never post good or bad reviews for anything on social media. This day will be different I have been taking all of my vehicles to this store since it opened. Today, I took one of my vehicles there for a routine oil change and tire rotation. As it turns out, the technician detected I needed new rear brakes and rotors (you have to understand that every time I have service here there is "always something else wrong"). I was told it was "metal on metal". The jeep was unsafe to drive. I told them I wanted a second opinion. I then took my vehicle to a nearby competitor for a second opinion. They found that while my rear brakes were low and needed replacing, the rotors did not. In addition, they would have to pass my jeep if they were doing a state inspection because they were not below the passable threshold. So moral of the story, get a second opinion. My second opinion will save me $260.00. read more

My mother took in a brand new car and asked for a state inspection. She was informed that each inspection will take 45 mins and there was someone that just went back. I have never been anywhere that took nearly an hour for one inspection. When I told my mother to forget it, that I'd take it somewhere else and be done in 10 mins. The guy rudely turned around and said (yeah, there are places out there that doesn't look over the vehicle) as if we were trying to get by with something on an inspection on a car less than a year old, with less than 10,000 miles on it. The statement that our mechanic was somehow fraudulently passing state inspections by not looking at the vehicles were completely unfounded. What I think he really meant to say is that other places aren't going to look for any little thing to charge you more money for! I would not go here for anything again unless you want the vultures to pick your wallets dry and consume your entire day for something really simple! read more

Getting a $16 state inspection should be simple. I have a personal mechanic who had serviced all of my cars for at least 6years, but he does not do State Inspections. Just recently had work done and took it to Goodyear for an inspection. When I took it in the manager says " I know you have a mechanic and you bring it to us for inspection, what can we do to get your business?" When it was explained that we've been with mechanic for years and have built a reputation of trust and customer service he says okay. Fast forward 2 hours he says you have a leak and there is an $80 diagnostic fee to find the leak. When I refused they slapped a fail sticker on the car. Mind you last week I took another one of my cars in ( which had just been serviced) and was told I need windshield wipers to "pass inspection" . I understand in order to be in business you have to make money. However to SUSTAIN a business you must be customer service oriented, trustworthy, and honest. Don't take for granted that you are a "franchise" because these companies fail too. Goodyear was a name you could trust and stand behind. Not sure this is the case anymore. Furthermore, this is precisely why I put my money in the small business owner and have my own mechanic that I use. Big companies are more about the $$$ than the customer. read more

This is the only place I will take my vehicle. I have been a customer here since the day the doors opened. If my vehicle is in need of anything they will go out of thier way to explain what is happening and if there is a deal going on coupon discount whatever it may be it will be found and applied to my service. These guys are amazing from the customer service desk to the mechanics. Highly recommend any one who doesn't have a one go to vehicle service place to make this Goodyear your go to for all your needs. I had originally called for a quote. I came in store as no appointments were needed to get my tire changed. I was greeted by Ken, who was very knowledgeable and provided me pages of information pertaining to tires that may interest me. He informed me that there was a $100 off promotion off services as well, which saved me quite a bit on my transmission oil change. The service was timely and even had a window that allowed me to see the progress. The staff moved fast and notified me immediately of any concerns. They were extremely professional and most important not pushy. I would 100% come back here again. read more

The people here really dislike their jobs and over-charge you. They are especially degrading to women. I would go elsewhere. I came in to get my car inspected and they told me it would be at least 3 hours; so I dropped it off and came back 2 hours later. When I came back, I ended up waiting another 2 hours for it to be done; and to top it off I ended up having to pay $71 for a license plate light and two other lights to be fixed or my car wouldn't pass. I needed to get my car passed since it was in the shop a few days ago and couldn't get around to get it inspected before the expiration on my old sticker was up. So I agreed to have these lights fixed. Seriously, I felt like I got cheated because I "presumably" don't know anything about cars. My dad told me afterwards I shouldn't have paid that much for a few lights to be fixed. I more likely won't go back. read more

I recently visited Goodyear in Southpoint Massaponnax to get some scheduled Maintenance done on my Volkswagon Beetle. As I first walked in I noticed that the whole waiting room was empty. After about 8 -10 minutes of yelling I was surprised to see a bald Manager named Joey coming out of the restroom with a man that looked to be a now happy customer. Joey was having a bad day and was very rude with me. Tried to rush me. Said cuss word sentences and really didn't seem to want to help me. After getting my Maintenance done Joey told me that I needed to fix some things immediately. Said that my blinker and headlight fluids were low and that my Canuter Valve needed to be reset. I'm no Mechanic but I'm pretty sure that my vehicle has none of these. I told Joey that I was gonna pass and get a second opinion and he snapped. He said that I was wasting his time and that my car was a piece of sh*t. I got very upset and told him that I was never coming back and he said "why dont we go in the bathroom together and talk about this like Men." I immediately turned around and started walking out the door to my car to leave and Joey started yelling at me running around punching things and screaming cuss words. I was scared for my life. I will never go back to Goodyear again. That man needs serious help. He does not respect Customers, or even people in general. He might have been abused at a younger age but I will not recommend for anyone to go and get service done there. read more

Let me start by saying that if there was a way to give no stars whatsoever that would be what I give them. Joey, the bald fella that runs the store is an outright ass. Not only will he lie but he will make basic things seem like he is doing you some sort of hook up or favor. For example I bought 2 tires and I bought them at regular price, paid for the mounting, disposal and labor and claims he gave me a discount. Bullshit. Not only that, my car had been in a wreck and has some damage on it even I was unsure of and I was told prior that as he put it "I don't want you wasting your money on tires if you can't pass inspection, so let me check out the frame of your vehicle before we put the tires on and if it's bent I won't put them on" I come back and tires are put on. I'm told that everything is fine with the frame of the car so I pay for the tires and came back for an inspection today. I drop the car off and it took them hours to even do a simple inspection, when I finally come to pick it up I'm told the car is impassable due to a bent frame which is the exact opposite of what I was told when I had the tires put on. Robbed of 250$, talked to as if I was in the wrong for his misleadings. This branch of Goodyear is outright garbage and I would recommend going to another branch or perhaps across the street to Firestone. Joey isn't an honest person and to put things bluntly is the perfect example of shitty management. He looks for any reason he can to up sell more services or products to you so then he looks good on paper. read more

I did have a bad experience at this establishment. However, after brining the issue up to the district manager Edward Zielonka he got the ball rolling to make things right. He asked me to come in the next day and ensured me that I would be taken care of. So, this morning I drove up to the Goodyear establishment in Cosner's Corner and was greeted by the manager Joey Guinn. He took his time to talk to me and hear all the issues I had with the customer service at his business. Joey then ensured me that e would handle the issue, I had a great experience with Joey this morning and Id highly recommend if anyone has a problem to contact Joey, and if you cant reach him contact the district manager. Today is 4/23/2019 and I just picked my vehicle up from one of your locations and there has been damage to the lower front end bumper. Store Location : 9631 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, Va 22407 Manager Joey Guinn. I went into today for a leaking tire and Suspension diagnosis and I specifically told the salesman when checking in to notate on my paperwork that the car is NOT to be pulled into a parking spot when they are done, that it can only be backed in. I explained to the salesman that the car is lowered and will hit the curb if someone isn't careful. Upon picking my car up I saw that the car was pulled into the parking spot and when I went to look at the car it had be pulled up over the curb and the Carbon Fiber is scrapped on the front and bottom. I immediately went inside and asked the Manger Joey Guinn to come outside and see where it was scratched. I asked him why was the car pulled into the parking spot when I specifically stated to only back the car in. His response was only "sorry about that". He offered to do nothing about it and walked back into the building. I told him I would be calling the corporate office since he was not concerned about the damages. I will file a complaint with my insurance company for the damages if we can not come to a repair solution immediately. I'm more upset at the fact that my customer request was not followed and more upset that the technician driving the car knew he ran on the curb ( because he would have heard and felt it scrap ) and then didn't bother to tell the manager that he made a mistake. I went in at 2:25pm to get an oil change at the Fredericksburg, VA Good Year. I made it to the counter at 2:29pm and I said I am a teacher and I have to leave by 3:15pn to pick up my son. What time could I get in for an oil change. The service manager said immediately. I said great, gave him my keys and signed the paper. Man took the keys got in my car then brought it over to the alignment check machine. I told the tech that I did not want an alignment check please just do the oil change. He took the equipment off and brought it to the bay to do oil. The service manager yelled at him and told him you alway do the courtesy check even if the customer says they do not want it. I asked if there was a problem and he said that a courtesy check must be performed and it will be at least 45 minutes and told his techs to not touch my car until I agree to that. I asked for the number to corporate and he stated that I was number 3 and I would have to wait. I found the number on my phone and called. The lady kourtney said she had not heard of that policy but would have to look into it and call me back. I told them to drop my truck down and I was going to leave. I asked to have the receipt to show I did not get any work done and he said there was two people ahead of me and I would have to wait at least 20 minutes to get it. He said he could send it to me in the mail. I told him fine send it to me. I asked if I could see the policy where it states you have to do a courtesy check before you do an oil change, he said I would have to wait 30 minutes while he helps other customers. read more

I never post reviews about bad experiences, but I would hate for someone to get taken by this establishment. I won't go too far into details because it's not necessary. I bought and 98 chevy 2500 and it was pulling to the right pretty hard and the breaks were pretty spongy I knew for sure I had a bad caliper. I decided to take it to this Goodyear location because it was winter and not really something I wanted to deal with. I left the truck with them to take a look at it and they told me it would be a couple hours. After 5 hours I finally get a call giving me a list of problems with the breaks, but they said they couldn't touch my truck because the frame was rusted through and that I wouldn't even pass inspection and it's unsafe for me to be driving. Well this truck does have a lot of rust because it was used as a plow in Indianapolis, but I was certain the frame was in good shape. However I decided to not get into it with them when I picked up the truck and just smile and say thank you. They gave me a list of work and an estimate for break repairs that came out to around $1500. I took the truck to a friend who's a welder and asked him to take a good look at the frame. The frame was not rusted through it was completely fine. He then gave me a worst case scenario estimate for my breaks and I told him to go ahead and do the work. It cost me $450. I still wasn't going to write this review, but then I took the truck to get inspected and it passed with flying colors. Like I said normally I would never write a review I would just listen to what they say and never go back, but not everyone has friends willing to drop everything to help you out they may be more likely to just let this place take their money. Just beware. Some people love this place, but who knows how much money they could have saved if they had more knowledge. read more
